Alright, so I've had quite a few dental problems due to genetics and acid reflux... So much so that by the age of 21 I had to have all my upper teeth cut out and now I wear dentures =\. I sort of have a low threshold for pain so needless to say this ended up hurting pretty bad. Now I've got an infected tooth that's being pushed on by an impacted wisdom tooth coming in. It's fucking killing me. The pain from this alone is so much more than any of the pain from my operation.
Luckily they gave me some meds for pain. Hydrocodone 7.5mg. Nothing too intense, I know.. But I'm a weirdo now in that a lot of drugs seem to induce anxiety. I've heard people say that HCs actually relieve their anxiety but it seems to increase mine significantly. It's almost as if I can't help but try to resist it '_- which we all know how that goes..
A bit ago I took one because the pain was unbearable, even though I was pretty nervous about doing it. I've got the irrational idea that it will somehow work out badly for me though =\. I think it stems from the fact that it alters my breathing and that bothers me. Obviously there are no ways to stop the breathing issue, and obviously the only way to truly get familiar and shit with these pills would be to build a tolerance but I personally don't like most prescription meds >.>', so I don't plan on using it more than I have to.
I understand this is a lame question and that it shouldn't be bothering me. Normally I'd probably be best off just not using them at all but honestly I'm in so much pain I NEED something, and NOTHING (ibuprophen, oragel, clove oil, ect..) else has helped me. Can anybody offer any advice for relieving my anxiety I'm getting from this drug? I would really appreciate it.
Does anybody else get anxiety from them? What do you do, if anything, to alleviate it? So far the only thing I do is try my best to take my mind off it (which is hard) and I also end up chain smoking cigarettes, which I'm willing to bet is counterproductive but it really feels like it helps.
edit-
May as well mention. It makes my palms sweaty/tingly too and this bothers me. I'm honestly not 100% if it's the HC or if it's the anxiety causing this
