Impossibly Euphoric. Explain to me why?

ah the days when my young 15yr old body first experimented with amphetamines, i felt superior to all in the world, law enforcement, woman, friends...smarter..over time all ig ot was negative effects from them and psychosis, and paranoia, like BIG TIME, lack of sleep, no eating, extreme mental pain mind fuck, beware!!

My guess (and it's no more than that) is that you were possibly still experiencing Stimulant Psychosis when you had this profound euphoria, but that it was more of a "positive side effect" of Psychosis.
Many people with Psychosis or Schizophrenia do experience moments of euphoria - a bit like manic stages of people with Bi-Polar.
Maybe this was the case, it was provoked by the MDMA experience you had the other day and eventually the Psychosis faded and stopped.

I don't know for sure ofcourse, this is pure speculation.

I don't think you read my post completely, I edited it shortly after you posted.
Here's what I added:

After reading it I assume you got serotonin syndrome for a little while. Adderall mainly works on dopamine but it still releases serotonin. It's never a good idea to mix Adderall and MDMA.

True I did not see this. I suppose it is possible but the reason I did not really speculate this to be the case was the point made by MikeHawk:
I find that unlikely. The space between the dosages is large and Adderall is not a very efficacious releaser of 5-HT.

OP Can I PM you? I was force fed aderall, ritalin and dexedrine at a young age. I would love to talk with you if you felt like it. PM me on here if you'd like. Thanks for a very interesting post.

I would be very interested in having a chat with you. Unfortunately I do not have enough posts yet to be a Bluelighter and therefor have the privileges to PM anyone other than staff. You could PM me on another forum you may have heard of, Grasscity. Otherwise you (I think) can still PM me with a way that I could contact you outside of this site? If none of those options work I can still always reply to this thread with an alternative method! I am anxiously waiting our conversation as it sounds like you have some nice information/talking points of some sort. If it is the case that you would PM me on Grasscity, please let me know on this thread as I no longer check that site daily.

Yes, I do believe I've made it to that point. If sometimes I do not take a little break amphetamines become far to negative to endure. But now, as my primary purpose in taking them is no longer really to achieve a "high" I use a lower/proper dosage and it seems to benefit me.

I speculated too that the psychosis I was experiencing (already a large one due to my dosage) was somehow effected by the trace MDMA amounts in my system to somehow cause a largely euphoric edge to it. It is right what you say about Psychosis - I have - in some of my experiences felt a sort of euphoria. Mostly aside from these few euphoria-like Psychoses it is much more of a feeling of content delirium. I do emphasize the word content though because I never have really had a negative feeling during them. It is more after the Psychosis that I feel any negative physical side effects associated with amphetamine usage and especially comedown.

At any rate, from my theories and from those of you that have so kindly given input it seems that this euphoria was definitely somehow chemically induced. Moreover, a popular speculation seems to be that the MDMA trace amounts somehow effected my psychosis. Some may doubt this due to the spacing in-between the MDMA ingestion and the psychosis itself. However, please remember (or maybe be enlightened now) that it is not particularly uncommon for 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) to stay in one's system for around three days. Although trace amounts of chemicals staying in a person's system is basically true for all substances, MDMA is unique in the fact that these trace amounts often will still effect the user in noticable ways. Also, please remember that drugs tend to effect me greater than the average individual in that I will feel the effects (most noticeably of any stimulant) much longer than what is to be considered average. Because of this, although I originally crucified this notion originally, I am starting to think that it may be possible for this euphoria to be somehow related to the psychosis-MDMA "hangover" synergy.

In this regard I am sort of disappointed. If the above is true it means that I will not easily be replicating this experience of euphoria anytime soon as it appears to be far too variable to expect the exact same effects every time, not to mention other factors that would make a replication much too inconvenient such as price and time in between dosages. Guess I'll just have to go light up, huh?

Shit eh, I was force fed Methylphenidate as a child also.

I've seen quite a few people, self included, experience amphetamine psychosis to one degree or another. A few of these have been VERY euphoric, and although these were usually on meth rather than regular amphetamine, I'm sure that the same could also happen on adderall. Whatever was happening, nice post, and welcome to BL

Thank you for the information :).

Yeah my idea of amphetamine psychosis is more of an insomniac, skin-picking, teeth-grinding, heart-pounding, you-hear-a-sound-in-the-night-and-truly-believe-it's-something-there-to-kill-you, kind of nightmarish experiential tangent than a buzz. lol

Yup, that sounds more like psychosis, only true psychosis usually involves hallucinations, thought disorders and a variety of bizarre delusions rather than just being awake, twitchy and believing something is coming to get you...

Anyway, this is quite an old thread and doesn't fit in with the way BDD is run now so I'm going to close it...
