I'm thinking of getting a toupe!

I do envy a nice head of hair though, especially when a guy takes care of it.
i never envy people having hair - the very concept of spending a huge amount of time and money on something so unimportant seems ludicrous to me now. in a way, I actually feel sorry for people who feel the need to conform to whatever's in fashion right now.

every guy should get a no. 1 all over, at least once in their life. :D

i guess i just want a change, not having an option to change my look is really bothering me

Just shave your head if you must.

True story, one of my good friends has a sister who is 24 and totally hot, married to a guy in his mid 20's who is going bald.

He doesn't let it affect him, I really dont even notice it anymore because he shows so much confidence and is a nice guy. If you can somehow just com to terms with going bald then you will be much better off.

To me, getting a toupe is in the same category as a woman putting "enhancers" in her bra or wearing Spanx to appear slimmer. A toupe just isn't as socially acceptable like the above examples. Who really gets to decide what's accepted and what isn't?

Bottom line, you're unhappy with your appearance. Do it if it makes you feel better!

I don't think it's really a question whether guys without hair are attractive. Plenty of high profile actors are either bald or shave their head to fit a role or a certain look, and they are considered the gold standard in good looks.

Baldness is sexy. I dated a guy in high school who had early baldness that ran in his family. He was only 17 when he started going bald! He wasn't embarassed by it whatsoever, he just started shaving his head. I find a shaved head hot.

That said.... I do find toupees creepy and odd, but that made me wonder what's the difference between a woman wearing a wig? Or even a man wearing a wig? I guess it's a personal preference. If you really want to see yourself with hair and have hair, maybe consider a wig? I hear what everyone else is saying that you should learn to be comfortable in your own skin first of all. You can't keep your toupee on 24 hours a day, at least I hope not! That wouldn't be very comfortable!

^ but what about when their head is as shiny as a bowling ball? Do you still find that attractive.

I think baldness on some men can look absolutely awful, but on others really quite good. Shaving is definitely needed.

FWIW my father-in-law is bald(ing) and I had never seen him without a shaved head til recently. I saw him in a photograph from literally 20 years ago and he looked older than he does now! Shaving balding head FTW.

thats the thing

you need to SHOW confidence

you need to SHOW yoru acceptance

you need to SHOW it doesnt bother you

people pitty you automaticly, you can be super confident and then when someoen syas a bald joke they start appologizing ect

the " good attitutde" about being bald has exausted me over the years

save big money and do it yourself !! construct a rug out of used condoms and chicken wire-just as unnoticeable as store bought! i have about nine hairs on my noggin and it has never, ever made ripples in my pussy pond. there are totally appealing women that are attracted to ugly men (me) and hair or the lack there of, ain't an ugly maker.

i believe that a fellow that had an upbringing in which he was loved by as well as loved his mother; the track is groomed for him to give and take in the romance arena. a guy that has not ever bonded with his mother is never going to get traction in a lasting romance - just sport fucking and for some that's all there really is.

got too much money? get bizarre shit tattooed on your gourd ,peeps will never notice your bare scalp!

I think the wig Tommy Chong wears on "That 70s Show" is a great looking "toupe" but I like long hair. If you look at the picture, it's not bad looking. I guess you would be able to see the seam from the wig to your skin as I'm sure he has make-up on...

Do you have facial hair? You could change that up and therefore change your look rather drastically.

You said in an earlier post that wearing hats is getting old--Have you tried a different style of hats? There are many different kinds to choose from! You don't have to settle with just baseball caps--Go to a store and try on beanies, wool hats, whatever you want, and see which you like the best. Maybe take a friend with you as sometimes you may think a hat looks ridiculous on you but it looks great. :)

But yeah, as mostly everyone else has said, toupees are not attractive.

you don't have a hair problem - you have a self-confidence problem (that is caused by wider reasons than just being a bit bald).

people pitty you automaticly, you can be super confident and then when someoen syas a bald joke they start appologizing ect
really? trust me, whenever anyone wastes their breath making an unoriginal joke about my lack of hair, *they* are the ones that end up being pitied by the end of that conversation. fuck me, it's a medical condition, so just grab the moral high ground, or call them fat/short/ugly/stupid/inbred/whatever.

buy a set of hair clippers already.

top tip: get ones that are rechargeable AND work from the mains.

If it makes you feel any better Julius Caesar was bald (or at least balding) and he fucked Cleopatra who was supposedly smoking hot. Just saying embrace your baldness. Hell you don't want to be with a chick who would dump you just because of your physical appearance anyway.

and Napoleon...never-mind.

i had a friend in his 20's who was balding(in a not so flattering way) and had bad appearing teeth - he knows how to be comfortable enough with himself, to allow other people to be comfortable being them-selves - this is important i feel. it works out great for every one, especially him because sometimes it just became routine .

This thread made me think of the one i made asking for opinions on going Grey . The general consensus was to embrace it and since i made the thread which wasn't long back i'm even more Grey !

But i haven't bothered dying my hair or trying to cover it up in fact i quite like it .

I think the best suggestion here was the one about getting some clippers , & also if u can Rock some facial hair .

The Problem with a toupee is that when it is detected as it will be eventually it will lead to more jokes than a bald head i would imagine.

Also what about friends you have known for a while , surely they will clock on to your "new Hair "straight away?
