Ignorant myths that users spread as truth...

OK I want to hear about all of the annoying rumors that way too many people claim as fact about MDMA (there's probably more dealing with pills than molly)...

Here are a few of my favorites:

1. Color of pill/specks = ingredients used

2. Saying "speed-based" or "heroin based"

3. Saying "double stacked"

4. Jumping to conclusions, claiming as pill has meth because they had alot of energy.
 
I hate it when people say there double stacked so they are better. I also hate it when they tell me to lick it to see if its bitter and when i do it's sour i laugh at them because they dont know what rolling really is..

They are MDMA based ( hopefully ;) ). With speed. Speed-based is implying that you are taking speed that has some MDMA in it, and some people even think that rolls are always "based", as if there is automatically adulterants, and those are the primary ingredient.
 
When the girl died at EDC, the media had a hey-day saying "OH ECSTASY KILLS." In reality, it was her own ignorance and the fact that she drank waaaaay too much water and fucked up the sodium in her brain (articles I've read even stated the same, yet they blame drug "overdose").

There were 185,000 people who went to EDC and had an epic weekend, yet the one death is what everyone heard about. I guess I hate the bad shit that gets spread about MDMA because people are so willing to cling on to the one or two tiny bits that confirm their bias, when tons of people use MDMA regularly without any problem.

It's true that taste is not an accurate test.. because other things can be added to the pill to make it taste bitter.. they do this cuz MDMA is indeed bitter.. the only two times I've been piped.. the pills were sour and burned my tongue. I have never had a clean MDMA pill that tasted sour.
 
oh god theres so many

other than the ones already named

1. That orange juice "increases" your roll.
2. That you have to drop two to feel it the first time.
3. That molly is actually a different substance/experience than Ecstasy.
4. That the presses mean something.
5. That you can roll all the time and be fine.

probably more, but im supposed to be in class, so ill think of some and post them later.

Some stuff that I've actually heard:

- "Make sure you drink a lot of water when you roll! If you don't your insides will boil and you'll cook from the inside out."
- "Don't sit on the speakers when you roll. Your lungs will collapse."
- "These pills contain peyote."
- "I've had blue naked ladies before, so the orange ones are probably just as bomb."
- "I like blue pills better than orange pills."
- "They're double stacked. Taking one is like taking two!"
- "I know it drains my spinal fluid but I still do it every weekend."
- "I don't know why they say ecstasy is harmless. I did it every weekend last month and now I feel like shit."
- "Ecstasy is totally harmless. I do it ALL the time and I don't feel any different."
- "I didn't like those pills. There was something else in them that made me feel all lazy and I didn't want to dance, just cuddle. Probably heroin."
 
"I know what vitamin c does to your roll!"
"I read online that a girl ate a quarter of a pill and died"
"... coke based ..."

Pretty much every myth you can imagine I've heard at a rave, but those are ones that I can specifically remember and can quote.

Ugg that one too! Before I ever rolled my friends told me "Don't have sex on E! Even though you'll really really want to, don't do it!" Neither points have held true for me.

My first "roll," if you can even call it that, was predominately speed with a little MDMA. I would say "speed-based" would be a great way to describe that pill. Unfortunately, the majority of pills out there have adulterants.

Some of my parents friends were talking about this a few weeks back when we went to the desert, i told them the real reason why and they're just like 'yeah, but she was on drugs though, raves are bad stay away from that stuff' ignorance is so annoying.
