i'm with you 'love in vein'. i've used and abused just about everything... and for me, heroin is the only drug i can use every day. the only limiting factor is money. if i had $50 a day to spend on dope i would be happy and content for years. unfortunately, i find it difficult to come up with the money i need to maintain my habit. save a spot for me in de-tox. haha.
Well, I started off about a year and a half ago using less than $20 a day. I can still get by on $20, but it really takes me at least $60 to get where I want. So I don't think $50 would have you satisfied for more than a year or two.
And yeah, I can't maintain my habit anymore, either. I had quit for about 2 months at the end of summer, but I'm back at it again. I'm going back to rehab starting Monday.
either way it'd be a tossup. providing i have infinate seratonin, MDMA would be it.
It's not simply a lack of serotonin that causes MDMA to stop having all it's positive effects.
And even if humans do not have an infinite amount of serotonin, it's unlikely that you could ever deplete it simply taking MDMA. I've known people who've taken it for years and years and are fine after they stop using it for a few months.
Part of the problem is likely related to the fact that it destroys axon terminals on the neurons that produce and release serotonin. And even though some of the axon terminals regrow, they're deformed and probably do not function properly.
There still hasn't been enough research done. Yet having known dozens of ecstasy users and watching what happens to most (not all, there are some people who seem mostly immune to the negative effects) it makes sense.
