Hi there,

A little bit of a background history here. I ´m originally from Italy, then I moved to the UK then finally to Brazil and my DOC´s are opioids- opiates, mostly heroin #3 (smoked) when I was in Europe and oxys nowadays. H does not exist down here hence at the beginning I was buying the thing on the DNM, but then I have discovered oxys and honestly I don t miss H one bit, to the extent that once I had some H leftovers in my drawer and I did oxys instead ; my pharmaceutical fixes are cheaper, safer , more manageable etc .I was wondering if the same could apply to stims: not a big stim user ,myself but I do dabble occasionally, and since I have tried the ‘’ real “ cocaine here in South America, speed- meth-the expensive BS they call "cocaine” in Europe and in the US have lost any appeal to me. Hence my questions : 1) If pharmaceutical cocaine was available legally at reasonable prices, would you still use black market meth ‘ 2) do you think that the legalization- decriminalization of cocaine would be feasible and reasonable in order to stop the meth pandemic?

Probably not because a cocaine of good quality is almost the same as using ritalin 10 mg for me (except that I can't snort and don't give me the down of the cocaine).

yeah, the scariest part of the cocaine is to redose a lot. That is why, unfortunately for me, I wouldn't use even if is pharmaceutical... is hard to control.

Fair enough, I did meth just...once ( a freebie froma vendor on the DNM) but when I was in Europe I did a fair share of speed ( amphetamines) which to me felt like " poor man´s version '' of cocaine anyway. Plus, the comedown with meth and speed are horrendous, with good coke not so much, hence maybe it would be more appealing to stim users

if is a cocaine of good quality than is more manageble, the problem is if the cocaine is bad

In Italy it´s a status symbol, if you do coke you are a cool kid. In Brazil is more frowned upon by society, everyone is doing it but it´s kinda "shameful" to openly do it. what about Perú?

Black-market crystal in my area of the US is already so potent & so cheap that any legal market for pharmaceutical d-methamphetamine HCL would likely be undercut by the cartels, even if it were sold at wholesale prices (though without the drug being directly subsidized , I'm assuming for the purposes of the hypothetical).

Personally, I'd enjoy having a nicely buffered and non-corrosive version of methamphetamine that could be injected SC/IM without too much fear. But when you're addicted, value is obviously your primary concern, not those factors (especially when so many smoke it anyway).

If pharmaceutical—or even black-market—cocaine were available for meth's current price/purity, I'd certainly use a hell of a lot more of it. In all likelihood, though, I'd probably keep on using crystal meth (or another type of amphetamine) regardless, mainly because the "coke" & "speed" subcategories of the stimulant family aren't 100% cross-satisfying, IMHO.

Personally I'd prefer the good coke over any meth because it is short-acting. I'm usually not really a stimulant guy. When I do go that route, I want to be high for a few hours and then be able to crash and get some sleep. My issue with meth is that it lasts too long.

Edit: Many years ago (I was in my 20s) I endured a brief but disastrous addiction to IV cocaine. Never again. Sticking needles in my veins every 15 minutes gets old quick. I don't IV anything any more and I'm not tempted to do so. For those who still prefer needles, I strongly urge you to steer clear of cocaine unless you want to be a human pincushion.

It's the same as in any other country. Both rich ppl and avg ppl(I'd even say lowclass ppl) snort cocaine too. Only high class ppl have access to the best coke, it's quite rare to source and quite expensive. Young people are more into weed, rolling, lsd, clubbing drugs in general. Poor ppl smoke cocaine paste or crack some of em. Tbh, it's viewed like in any other country but it's super cheap here compared to other countries then how society views drug consumption, it's exactly the same.

if only they were kids mano, we are talking about people in their 30´s and 40´s ! Everyone and their mother is filling their nostrils with this shit, cocaine in Italy is as common and trivial as weed , hence both the quality and the prices plummeted. I´m sure in a couple of years max people will start losing their marbles big time....PS you use " raro " to mean "strange- in- a-bad-way" or something right? It´s funny cos " raro " in Italian and Portuguese means " precious, expensive, hard to find" hence I was kinda puzzled

Depends on the context u can say raro to mean something or someone Is weird. Like "El es raro" he is weird or u can say "ese modelo de auto es raro" that car model is rare(as in hard to see, find).
It all ďepends on Context.
PS if they are 30/40 yo buying that stomped coke for that price, they are stupid as fk.
Tbh, I would never snort coke outside my country. If even here it's commonly cut with different types of shit, I can't imagine in Europe where it's been passed around at least 5 times before it reaches u.....that mix of powder has anything but coke in it. /nznity over

Cocaine in its purest form is nothing like that gruesome shit they sell all over the world these days. The high makes u feel so good and u only need a tad bit to be rushing ur tits off. When the old school ppl say that coke isn't what it used to be in the 70s 80s 90s up until the early 00s, it's true. Pure cocaine washed with ether is fkn BOMB.

Different drugs these two.A line of good coke with some whiskey and after two-three hours can go to sleep.So for me good coke is safer alternative,but there is people,who likes meth more and will stick it to meth.
