If drugs were of sufficient purity..

Me and an old bluelight friend years ago would have long discussions into the night about whether our LSD was of sufficient purity..I do wonder what it would be like if you could get 99.9% pure coke and heroin rather the lower quality shit we always get. I wonder what the difference in effect is between 99% pure coke made with a professional synthesis and whatever - 50% coke made by a bloke in a bucket with fucking draino. I remember Keith (the human riff) saying pharmaceutical coke is a like a different drug.

I noticed with 4-aco-dmt - the real stuff was white - obviously a much better synthesis. But for the last 6 or 7 years in the UK you can only get this fucking grey rubbish. There is some kind of 4-aco-dmt in that grey shit so you get a few of the same mental alerts but its absolutely nowhere near what real 4-aco-dmt is like. On the white stuff you are dancing for hours - on the grey you are laid down too scared to move in case you set off trying to vomit up your own fucking ringpeice.

Purity is a thing. I loved amphetamine sulphate. What I bought online was sold as 80%+ purity* and a I tested a few batches and 75% was the lowest it ever came back.
I've heard people shit on it a lot then found out it was street speed, which is 5-15% purity. So...no shit it was bad, that stuff is almost entirely just dextrose.

Same as how I get higher on (equidose) morphine than heroin, even though heroin is twice as strong, because you're NEVER gonna get literally 50% heroin (obv what it would take to be the same potency as morphine)


*for some weird fucking reason, it cannot be physically made at higher than 84% purity

EDIT: for the sake of clearly potential confusion, here in the UK, 99.9% of anyone saying "speed" is referring to amphetamine sulphate. Meth still isn't that common and als we just call that "meth"

Can't you get 99% cocaine from the lidocaine in OTC topical creams? I'm sure I read an article abut a guy doing that, recently??

it is possible, but freebase amphetamine is oily paste and has worse shelf-life than salts, so it is not common product on the markets, even if it is present rarely.

that 84% number is just counting the salt ions as an impurity but in reality that amphetamine is 100% pure because the salt is part of the compound. the only reason to use that 84% number is for dose conversion between different salts because they have different molecular weights

Have definitely had a fair few coke batches in the mid/high 90's% purity with zero active cuts and yeah, definitely like a different drug to what is usually available to be purchased. No jitters, not particularly stimulating, high euphoria, low-level numbing which you cannot even detect until a couple of minutes after dosing, and the best dose was around 30mg, 45 minutes between doses. Having said that there were also noticeable differences in effect between those pure batches themselves due to production methods / location of coca growing / various variables. Am extremely glad to say that I do not have that contact anymore, was a fucking constant temptation even if they would only sell me 2g at the most once every few months. Glad I experienced it and even more glad it's in my past.

I used to get freebase phet direct from an (at the time) major chemist/supplier. ‘Twas the real deal. Fr fr. Regularly had punters return whatever they had left wanting a refund because it was “too strong”.

From the reports of those that have sampled pure diamorphine, they say it lacks the “dirty” feel of street H and is thus less desirable.
