(I hate the term idm but...) Check out wisp, cant believe he hasn't been mentioned ! Hes got alot of free albums for download on his website http://www.wisp.kaen.org/... check out "in a blue face" or buy "Honour beats" which is also brilliant (probably better but not directly free).
 
Si Begg does some cool stuff esp. on the earlier "Noodles" releases.

A lot of cool artists there %) , quite a few of them I'd say were in the breakcore realm, IDM seems a bit of an old fashioned term to me but all this genre splitting malarkey is a bit stupid TBH.

If you like a lot of those artists & you're in London or the South East I'd def recommend going to Bang Face, Yardcore or any Wrong! music parties :D

I saw Otto Von Schirach at Bang Face last year & he was awesome. He was hanging off the scaffolding on the ceiling singing "I'm to sexy for my shorts" in his underwear over some seriously f**ked up beats, hilarious =D
