Heya if you live in Sydney there's Parkour classes every Sunday at 1:45PM in Pyrmont park, it's cheap as hell and a great workout/awesome for your general fitness and improving strenghth. Plus Parkour is cool as hell. They start right from the basics.

Vanth, its one of those things that takes practice initially.

Just purse your lips to form a tiny outlet and wiggle your tongue just behind without touching and if you just keep trying (good idea to be out walking alone so people dont think your etarded).

Eventually you will get just the tiniest little thing and then you can build from that. Its not easy to just start whistling if ya havent whistled before.

Eventually you can move to dog whistles which are the loud ones and have various techniques.

Mine is to place have the lips reasonably well apart and seal the bottom part off with my tongue resting lightly on my bottom lip and the tip forming a tight gap with my top teeth and then blow.

I used to easily be loudest at school with this method but sadly I recently lost part of my middle front tooth and until I get it fixed its hard to be that loud. Many people can use fingers but i never bothered with that method cos my own was so effective.

Basically you are forcing air through a tight hole fairly quickly.

Its all about practice.
