I think I almost passed away in my sleep..

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I've been using opiate painkillers for awhile now, recreationally.. Usually oxycodone and hydrocodone specifically. I can sometimes acquire 40mg OxyContin tabs, and will use them.

Yesterday, after not having OxyContin in awhile, I orally took a 40mg tab at work, and another about and hour and a half later. Left work at shift end feeling at my 'upper limit' for being there, they started hitting me like a ton of bricks.

I had not eaten lunch yesterday. I did some running around, came home to meet my girlfriend, showered. I had drank a single 24oz of regular beer. We ate, watched a movie and headed to bed. I was in & out of a nod the whole movie, I can only recollect a few scenes.

6:00am came, my girlfriend was waking up, and she flicked on the bedroom light to get ready, and seen me laying there. She said id looked pale grey, and thought I was dead because she couldn't see any respiratory action. She ripped the blanket off of me, jumped on top and shook me yelling me name until I came to.

Knowing what I ingested, I finally got up, walked around to collect myself. I had joked about it to calm her, as she had no idea of what I'd used, and she still doesn't. All day I've been scared and I keep wondering what would have been if she didn't wake me at the time she'd noticed.

What would happen? I feel as though I would have left this earth and it's given me the chills all day.

I'm not much of an opiate user, so I can't judge how much you took. But unless you're really small or have a bad liver or something, I have a hard time seeing how two pills and a beer would put you in respiratory depression, hours and hours later. But then, like I said, I'm not an opiate guy.

Is it possible you just fell asleep in the bathroom? Sleep-walked in to take care of the beer, decided the cold tile seemed more comfortable, or the bed was too far away, and lay down?

Or are you leaving out all the benzos and weed and it was really like fifteen pills and a pint of hooch?

If your story went exactly like you say, I'd recommend seeing a doctor, since you might have something else going on.

^ indeed, are you certain it was oxy you took?
i would suggest getting checked out by a Dr to be on the safe side
