Opioids I really do not understand the appeal of percocet

When I was a teenager of about 15 or 16, I got a hold of a giant bottle of Demerol and took it in obscene doses for a few days.

Demerol is not suitable for long term use. There's a cardiotoxic metabolite called nor-meperidine, that cumulates in the body.

It was his favourite because he demanded strong pain relief without making him too relaxed. He wanted his mind to stay clean. Imagine if the Leader of your enemy pass out after too much morphine constantly or is in and out of dreams during strategic planning. Not good for your enemy. So his doctor decided to provide him oxycodone. It provides relief and avoids what some other codones or morhine sometimes do, complete illusions. They were using many opioids they developed and the goal was methadone - potent and long-acting. But this was because of resources and synthetic long-acting opioid was ideal for soldiers. Taking morphine which needs to be made out of opium every and to re-dose every 3 hours was reported as unsustainable and not meeting requierements of soldiers getting close to Soviet Union.

Looking through this thread is really shocking to me how many people are oblivious of such basic drug nerdery as a CWE.

I can somewhat understand popping two or three 20s as is if you don't want to waste any of the oxy -- I read somewhere that as much as 35% gets lost with codeine, and I don't see why would oxy it would be much different.

Also, I imagine that many here report not finding perks all that enjoyable bc the paracetamol acts like a slow realease, and as a rule, opioids should hit "all at once" for the best effect.
