TDS I Just Need To Post vs Welcome To the Fluffy Side

Adorable kitty aq. :) I love cats so much, they're such awesome creatures. You have to approach them much differently than dogs and treat them respect their whole lives, and some people don't get that and then they get angry, vindictive cats, because cats are like people that way, you have to respect them and they have to respect you. But if that happens they will love you very much and be great companions with loads of personality.

I haven't thoroughly cleaned in a while. Vacuuming usually happens quite often since we have dogs and tile flooring and there are little fluff piles that are impossible to ignore. But I was laying on my bed talking to my father on the phone and usually our bedroom fan is on but it was off and it literally looked like it had been snowed on. I was like holy shit. I couldn't even finish talking to him it was bothering me so much. We don't use our front room which is formal since we have a smaller living room that I find more cozy. The front room however is the most decorated so we have a bajillion things I had to pick up to move to dust. Even the couches which are leather were dusty I was like oh my god. Then I'm noticing there's like dust stuck to the walls. I'm like well apparently having a haunted house is the easiest business to maintain since you just don't maintain it. (business adventure ideas as i'm cleaning)

It was the worst. And it's not even done. I don't even remember the last time I dusted. Dusting is honestly the worst of them all. So terribly tedious. Like scrubbing toilets is less tedious than dusting. I can think of a million horrible jobs that would be better than dusting. Like it's honestly everywhere. I used the swifter kind of duster and apparently those are not equipped to handle mass dusting events.

Does pledge even work? I honestly want to spray my walls with pledge I have no idea how dust can stick to a wall. It's just freaky. I also think I might need several air purifiers after seeing how much dust the fans collect from just spinning.

/rant I hate dusting

I usually use wet paper towels for dusting when there is a lot of dust. Then you can finish it off with pledge or Swiffer to get the last remnants. But the wet paper towel will gather the largest amount of dust and also not waste extra Swiffer pads or Pledge or whatever.

Yeah Pledge works.

hehe thank you! he was a litter of 4, it was him and his brother left. I wanted to adopt the brother too.

I'm quite sure my cat mayyy be pregnant, because there is also a male here and the are both not fixed. She isn't even a year old yet but I hope there are no complications cause we can't really afford to take them to a vet right now. I'm gonna try to look for a programme that can at least get her checked out cause I think there's a baby factory a'brewin' and I need to be ready for that... and DEFINITELY get them both fixed after this.... ._.

I don't know if there are any low cost spay/neuter programs where you live Papaverium but we do here in Orlando and they are very good. $30 for any dog under 30lbs (add $10/10lbs), cats are a straight $20 for males $25 for females. I used to foster dogs and I used their program and I really loved the level of care they put into the animals. They always included the price of pain medication (as in it wasn't extra), and they would not allow a pet to leave without an ecollar to protect them. I also noted the minute details that they also used some type of protective jelly over their eyes while they were in surgery as well as when they got out I would imagine so their eyes wouldn't dry out because they're half open when they're still drugged up. My pets never looked in pain when I picked them up and there was also a kind person holding my dog the right way who would gently put them into my arms and make sure I wasn't holding them in an area that would be painful. That person would also go over medications and provide an aftercare sheet on how to administer the medication as well as how to take care of your pet after the surgery. They also always came to us still pretty out of it so nothing ever looked painful.

One time they were booked solid so I used a vet I use regularly for checkups and the receptionist didn't offer pain medication (apparently I was supposed to ask), when we picked up one of our fosters he was wide awake and looked to be in a lot of pain (same timeframe so he should have still been out of it). They took us in the back and I had to pick him up myself and they sent me on my way. No aftercare sheet, no pain meds, no ecollar. Just pick your dog up and get out. And thanks for the quadrupled price. Luckily I had some spare medication from my last fosters operations and was able to give him them (same breed/same size).

I took my own very loved dogs to the SPCA program rather than the normal vet because I love the practices they do there. I love that they take your dog from you into their arms when you drop them off and are understanding that it's frightening leaving them. Unlike the vet tech which grabs the lead and takes them away. (it's routine i'm a professional blah blah). Then you're left to finish with the receptionist.

So don't think just because it's a low cost option that a pricey vet is any better. In fact I can guarantee the SPCA does more spay/neuters than your average vet. I am lucky because we have a fantastic program here and I absolutely love them. They are state funded so much of the procedure/medication/ecollar is covered by the state and your small payment offsets that (the state really just wants to stop the shelters from filling up).

I would honestly recommend looking into your local SPCA and see if they offer it. In most larger metropolitan areas they have great spay/neuter programs. I hope you can find a great program where you are. If you would like me to see if I can help you find one shoot me a PM :).

My cat was a stray and came to us about half-grown, pregnant. She had 11 kittens (yes that many, I was there), and she was tiny. She was fine, in fact she's a warrior, she bounced back right away and is the most ninja-like cat I've ever met to this day. The vet said (when we went to get her fixed) that she was probably 6 months old when she got pregnant, judging from her size and bone development. So your kitty should be fine. :)

I was driving home today about 90km/h when the car in front of my car just suddenly started turning away from the road. There was nothing I could do. In a split second I saw wooden street light flying towards me. I pulled the brakes as hard I could and didn’t crash myself. Older lady driving in front of me had broke the street light in three pieces that were now flying in the road. Her car then dropped about 3 meters from the road and ended up sliding 80 meters to the nearest field. I ran there as fast as I could as I was calling “911” at the same time. The driver was in shock and tried to leave. I had to force her laying in the ground as she was just panicking-

I talked with her a lot when we were waiting for ambulance to arrive. She calmed down and didn’t seem to have any bad injuries. I was holding her hand and tried to stay positive. At the end nobody was seriously hurt and for the first time in my life police and paramedics was thanking me.

She was very lucky! For me it was a reminder how quickly one´s life can end!

All right it off to play fucking lumber jack and clear this evasive species out of the woods.. I know its not going to work, I know the futility of trying to battle mother nature.. but fuck everybodies got to chip in... fucking CHARGE!!! this going to suck.. i know that by telling myself this is going to suck it will automatically suck, but really I dont think there is anyway around this sucking.

I have a similar battle with kudzu in my yard. The demon vine grows 6-12 inches per day from every single branch (and the branches are many), the roots are SO hard to dig out, and it blends in with the trees it's trying to suffocate. It's a neverending battle. Doesn't help that my neighbors have it ALL over their yard and do absolutely nothing to try to stop it... it just keeps growing from their yard into mine because they don't want me pulling, chopping and digging in their yard. My old neighbor (same house, it's a rental) took care of it, but not these guys.

I am pretty pleased with myself. I completed all the tasks I wanted to today which included sorting our garage, finishing the laundry, cleaning the closet, and mowing the lawn. We're horrible homeowners as I've stated in past rant posts about my neighbors complaining about cottonmouths coming from my backyard (okay that's an exaggeration that the entire population of cottonmouths came from my backyard), but the grass was like knee deep. It always sucks when I let it get this long because I have to run the mower at the slowest setting instead of zooming around my yard pretending I'm racing a go-cart. It stalled out a few times because I couldn't control myself and had to put it from 1(slowest) to 3 and around the turns it would stall.

Are you chopping those bushes in your yard NSA or elsewhere for volunteer work?

Also Xork, we have this persistent ivy that grows up our lanai screen and I have to tear it down cos it loosens up the screens especially when there's strong winds, otherwise I'd keep it cos I provides a nice amount of privacy and also blooms these beautiful purple flowers. I've gone as far as actually asking the ivy to just grow outwards (across the grass) and I wouldn't cut it:sus:.

I have to give my cat (liquid) antibiotics and my god it is terrible! he fights me so bad on it.

Giving medicine to cats really sucks. My cat is almost done with his medication but for the past couple of years he has been on something daily or every other day. At first I was giving him pills but it was a huge battle (and he is a huge cat), and he would ALWAYS throw them up immediately. After a bit, my vet told me they could compound the medication with something that will allow it to absorb through the skin. Not sure if it will work for antibiotics, but maybe ask about it. I just rub .1mL of the cream on the inside of his ear, rub it in, and it's dosed. It takes all of 1 second and he doesn't care that I rub the inside of his ear, and even when he used to care, I'd just hold him under his front arms so he couldn't get away and do it. SO MUCH easier.

So I saw this woman today.. I have not seen her in many years.. she had the locker next to mine all four years of high school and I had the biggest crush on her almost the whole time. So then I ran onto her a couple of years after we graduated and she comes up outa the blue and tells me she had a crush on me the whole time. I wounder whats she has been up to.

Such idiots we are in high school. Both totally crushing for years and neither one of us said a word.

So just for kicks I looked up a "festival survival guide" because sometimes those things are funny.

It recommended to "NOT go it alone" because you could get disoriented and start freaking out. No shit.
That's when you find a place away from the crowd, and sit down.

Nonetheless, I AM going it alone. I'm not worried because I know how to just pick a spot and sit down. I have been seriously tripping and not recognized people I was living with, so I sat down and began to breathe.

Idk I did a lot of research before I even started doing drugs nearly ten years ago....it helped me. I just feel like people or kids nowadays don't invest that time into the research, which is really investing in themselves and their mental well-being for the future.

^ i think she is married.. I tried to look her up on social media a few times and I really dont get anything. Not her thing i guess. She looked pretty good.
