Venting I just hate being sober

I spent two weeks in Colombia and thought I'd like to live there, returned and after three months I'd had enough. I just spent ten months in Brazil and the had enough feeling was very strong when I left. It sounds like you have a good plan I'm just sharing my experience with how visiting and actually living somewhere are very different experiences. Language barrier especially can get very exhausting after a while
Thank you for your concern. My whole family thinks I am nuts to want to go there.

Ahh the old "shithole" word...

It's all the same to me... Mankind is unkind man.
I didn't use it first. Besides shithole better fits that area. Slumdog Millionaire, they have got a real bad sewage problem. There are documentaries, however I am in no hurry to watch a movie about 3rd world shit. That scene was funny though.

Tell your family, that they are right.lol If you go; watch where you step and make sure that wherever you live; there needs to be a door to keep snakes out.

The Banded Crait: That one sometimes climbs into bed at night in poor villages.( obviously their huts don't have good doors). They are nocturnal but have been known to slither into bed. That can trigger a bite easily.

If you get anti venom in time you will have about a 50/50 chance of living. Or dying in horrible pain. But then there are also cobras and all sorts or vipers. I think they even have the carpet viper. Tiny, viscous little killing machines. lenght about 2 ft full grown. Kills more people than anyother terrestrial snake.( it is native to Africa also). There venom will more than likely kill you unless you get anti venom in time.
If they have it.

Then there is the lack of good food. ugh

They're unlike the colorful visions psychedelics give. Nothing great or meaningful. Most are just things that could be real, like the kids fighting or something. And then when I'm about to shout back I realize they're not even there. Or I'm trying to pick up something and realize it's not there. All out of the usual things that might be, nothing mystical or worth remembering...

That effect it only had once in a wild combination, on it's own there was just a confused half-asleep state for me at least.🤷

😅

Good luck if you do, hope it won't hook you either 🍀
As long as i don t venture my self slicing Onion s/ dealing Digi-coin s.
On the dark-web doubt it, imagine if i could become a King-Pin dealing drug s in the neighbourhood. [ drugging kid s to get them laid & hooked on stuff,
i hate dumb drug propaganda ]. Nah better ask ID and provide HR leaflets !

Or maybe force a big change in prescribing potentially addicting drug s over here.

Till then sort of save, the blanket ban burned every other option. But when in practice,
gave me the mean s to self medicate. Using Bluelight a.o as guide-line.
What is harmful use and what s benign. I am trying to enforce that strategy on the one drug, that went under the Radar. Ethanol.

A socially accepted one but only for those that don t have a bad reputation. Mine thorough blemished a habit on it is counterproductive. Trying to get rid of it,
but only as soon as circumstances enable it. Momentarily in 5 days 8 hour s mayhem. They are renovating my rented house over a month now.

Soo... There I go again ready to continue the rant..
I said I won't try CT, but I did - and failed ofc, and so miserably it really shook me a bit 🙄
It got worse every time I tried - ofc... Brilliant way to mess up everything..
So I realized I'm deeper in than I thought. Cause I still can't taper Tapentadol. Like once I touch it I really want to get high, and that's increasing tolerance ofc.. pretty much a daily fail of the taper. Staying low is such a struggle... And I'm holding back a lot anyway.
It's crazy when I look back how often I was totally fu*'d up. I don't remember getting those messy highs anymore for a while now.
Also it seems like I have zero desire for doing anything other than opis or combined with Benzos. I could but my mind is pretty fixed on this only. I don't even notice that I could do something else...😅
Might have said that before but I think it's so difficult because it's so short acting. Boofing the IR tabs hits very fast and after 3 hours it's going out p fast too... 😮‍💨
...
🙄
It s a hard job sustaining a habit these day s, especially a forfulling one.

Don t know shit [hole] about migrating. My disability restrict s me a bit.
While offering at the same time opportunity. To schengen country s.

As in case of i receive a equivalent of cash monthly as now.
How long always a gamble ! So finding a sustainable solution priority.

So get a place and contact. Job and plan B/ C might thing s not go well.
Had contact with a Dutch guy still going strong in Indonesia atm.
It used to be Dutch, Kratom is commercially grown over there,
and not illegal or tolerated, afaik never did research on any of this but not included.

So there might be some work in that industry. Just pondering !
Especially being a Westerner. Then again Malta legalised Weed as 1-st in the EU.
[A Schengen country ! / Does open door s, you can take dis-ability [not welfare].
But old age and retirement Pension are OK too.

Nice safety net. But to much ties connecting me here so day dreaming.

I love the insight.

I think if people are not adapt to bushcraft. Well all areas of the US and abroad are going to be equal 3rd world shitholes.

The US exports nothing. We are 100% dependent on the world. If our soul possessions are removed, the ball in chain of being disorganized will be 100% heavier. After the banking system is disrupted, Good luck making it past 50 fathers ready to kill their neighbor after they were just respecting each other yesterday.

98% of the American public do not even have enough firewood at home to cook 24hrs worth off food for their family. More or less they cannot fill their Rx's. Everyone is on fentanyl. Deadly outbreaks of Philly tranq dope causes infectious scare.

Yes man. The world is doom and gloom man. Mankind is unkind man. United we stand. Long live dirt weed. Godluck and good speed.

you are so wrong. In June of this year America exported almost $280,000,000,000.

I don't know where your from but $280 billion in a month is not 0%. Far From it. we export trillions every year.

Travel tip: Marlboro reds( box) buy em cheaper down south( in America) Our cigarettes are almost the cuban cigars of cigarettes.
Why, corrupt cops, American( especially Marlboros). They work well for bribes. I have heard that many times. Also read about it in a book.

Seriously, we export a lot. We are the largest Arms dealer in the world. We control around 40% or more of the world's arms trade.

This country will probably end with a civil war. Ah, lead will be the new currency.

Wait till the 3rd world starts to get to him.
Shithole. You are unfamiliar with you new paradises sewage problems. Enjoy trading a shithole for an open sewer.

Literally, they just dump all( or a lot) of their sewage into rivers. But hey rent is cheap. Even cheaper if you are in close proximity to a leper colony. Sorry but I saw a documentary on leper colonies in India.( the rent part was pure conjecture but probably true).

I just love when westerners trash the west and move to a 3rd world country thinking it will be paradise. Then the realities of why they call them " developing nations", and I love the reports of the fact the foreigners who go to drug countries usually end up regretting it. After their family have paid the ransom. Then there are the corrupt cops. The weird diseases that foreigners don't have natural antibodies toward and a few shots is only going to cover the major diseases that are vaccinatable. Criminals love targeting westerners.

If your not westerners, then it depends.
But, chances are all those venomous snakes, the severe steak shortage, despite an abundance of cows. The crowding, sewage issues and other issues will have you homesick in a very short time.

There is another issue. Foreign cops do take bribes sometimes but careful you don't end up in a 3rd world prison. The cops may ignore the locals using but that may not hold true for foreigners.
I spent a lot of time in south america and I have had enough of it now. Brazil had some of the worst violent thugs I've ever seen and gringos only stay in the richest areas. If you're able to live like a rich person in these places for a while I see how it can be fun for a period, but in my case I never got over how horrible things can be for the average person there, and poverty is much more the norm than not, and much worse poverty than the poorest areas where I live near Tampa.

It is usually going to be bad for "gringos" in poor areas of dangerous South American Countries. Brazil actually beat out Columbia a few years back in terms of kidnappings for ransom. They usually cut off an ear and send it to the families.

There is a doctor down there who is the best at fake ear replacements. Not sure what he does exactly. Tissue over a prosthetic ear?

They are usually let them go; if the ransom is paid. If not.☠️
What does 'gringo' actually mean. Is it a slur?

Yeah, if your rich you can stay in a really nice hotel with a view view of the Ocean and maybe the Favela( slums).

Gringo is generally an American or European who doesn’t speak the language over there typically looking for women or drugs, can be derogatory but is used to just describe any foreigner in Brazil

Your right the grass is not always greener. Most importantly where ever I go there I am.

My friend from India owns Boost mobiles in NYC, Virginia, and Cali. He wants me to build and start an automobile and welding/fabrication shop in his family's village in Northern India. It is far removed from stress, crime, etc. He wants a business for his family that serves the community.
From news and journalism reports I've heard India is no place for a women .I'd rather live in the shithole where I am than move to a country that has a very high percentage of rape ,theft ,religious bigotry, racism etc

So true every third world country is like that ,great being a tourist but once you set roots down you'll wish you were back in the promise land.has anyone actually seen the slums in India, its shocking ,from what I've heard from off shore workers Indians and Pakistanis are just if not more racist than most other cultures. They have a cast system still in place.i remember my old boss moved over to teach English and take drugs ,he lasted a month .

This past month I have been working on getting my act together. I stopped smoking cigs and stopped taking 7-OH because I wanted to feel something extra on bad days.

I am keeping this good feeling of taking back some control in my life. It feels good to not be so damn impulsive.

I am making plans to travel to India for 3 weeks right after Dec 2025. I have a residence and a mission to build a business there for my friend.

I want to forged a path there. I want organic food and natural medicine.
Really .from what I've heard due to the lack of any toilets people including women just shit at the side of the road.not to mention the stray dogs with the vast majority infected with rabies .why do you think there are so many Indians and Pakistanis in the west .I've never been but unless your extremely rich you'll be home in no time .there is slums in my country but nothing compares with India. An open sewer I've been told by every person I've known who has worked there via the oil industry etc .

My comment saying the "US is a shithole.." is completely valid. I have paid an ass ton of taxes for the past 32 years. I can call the US whatever I want to. Everyone thinks the USA is grand and sweet. One bombing or attack on US soil this place will locked down in Martial Law. Before the Martial Law happens there will be a significant and devastating period of time. Just imagine how the large cities all the way down to small town do not have food, medicine, and toilet paper... The grand sweet ring of freedom will extend on deaf ears and visually watching all the fathers in the neighborhood are killing for sport to feed crying kids & wife. Just imagine how a disorganized society and half are dependent on the government fold on themselves.

Here is some info on Northern India where I am interested traveling to :

Life in northern Indian rural villages is characterized by a strong community spirit, traditional living, and organic farming practices rooted in nature's rhythms. Communities are close-knit, celebrating collective festivals and sharing resources. Many villages are transitioning to or embracing organic farming, with areas like Sikkim being a pioneer in this approach, fostering a sustainable lifestyle that reflects their deep-seated local traditions and heritage.

Life and culture
  • Community and social life: Life revolves around a strong sense of community, cooperation, and mutual support. Festivals are celebrated together, often featuring traditional music, dance, and communal feasts.
  • Traditional lifestyle: Houses are often built with local materials like stone or wood, reflecting the region's architectural heritage.
  • Hospitality: Villagers are known for being warm and hospitable, welcoming visitors openly.
  • Festivals: Festivals and rituals are deeply integrated into village life and tied to local traditions.

Organic farming
  • Pioneering regions: Sikkim is an example of a region that has gone fully organic, becoming the world's first organic state.
  • Growth and importance: Organic farming is a growing sector in India, supported by government initiatives and driven by the goal of sustainable agriculture and rural development.
  • Economic impact: Organic farming directly benefits farming families by increasing income, which can lead to reduced poverty and improved living standards.
  • Traditional roots: The move toward organic farming often involves returning to traditional, time-honored farming methods that are in harmony with the natural environment.

Ha ha you don't actually believe that garbage.the first thing they will do is befriend you and take you for all you've got .there's more plastic in India than most countries and pollution is through the roof ,have you seen there public transport ,there's passengers hanging off the edge of a moving train [hanging room only lol] festivals may be celebrated together provided you belong to the same religion. Your in for a big shock .I dare say it's great for a holiday if you can survive the dheli belly but I would reconsider.india is a third world country the people live on less than a dollar a day ,how many sweat factories have collapsed in the past ten years leaving hundreds dead .your average Indian dosnt give a fu@# and there government is corrupt from the ground up .you would be better thinking about Thailand, leat there not always out to Rob you .Hard truths

As I said I believe the crucial point is how much your affinity to the mentality is there. And how well you can deal with it. If you go there and start a successful company, that will give you the freedom to live in fairly good circumstances. Some people can live quite well there, though the poverty is always visible. You need to have the means to own enough space for privacy - that's my conclusion from what my Indian-married friend told me.

On another note yesterday I told a friend IRL about my drug issues... No details and I told her I'm no longer physically addicted, but not that I ordered new H... That I almost OD d on Halloween.... Our talk is currently on repeat in my mind...
Fyi I never told anyone the full story. She's the first I told about the withdrawals. She didn't say much but when I said I miscalculated my dose for morphine. And no. Not because of physical pain - she laughed and said "you're cooler than I thought " - that took me aback totally. She then immediately switched topics and said nothing when I asked about that comment... But she promised to be quiet about it. She was surprised as well when she asked what kind of feeling it was giving me - "contentment". - " and this from you who finds a hair in every soup!?" ( means I'm complaining about everything)... 😅
She then continued by trying to get me to make a commitment but I refused. She didn't ask about any details either. But she suggested therapy. ,(I'm attracting that advice even without confession my addiction 😒). Might be right then..,ugh....

Did you read that off some website promoting Northern India. It sounds awful like it .most Indian nationals are desperate to get out of rural areas ,and alot of Indian nationals who come to the west have an engineering degree but end up running a shop cos its more profitable ,mainly cos they pay there staff in cash ,as much as they can get away with anyway .
