I'll agree I don't listen to the albums very often any more because the politics can be a little over the top (although the words still fit together brilliantly) but live they are something else. Lo' and behold Monday of this week the arm snaps off in my hands!

I'm also smiling about the cute silver banana barbel I bought for my navel piercing and Busty's black onyx star fitting for his dermal anchor.

Went to the doc today for a vaccination, brought up my 'chronic moodiness', he thinks it's just mild dysthemia which I can usually keep under control with daily exercise. It's good news since dysthemia doesn't usually respond to drug treatment so as long as I can keep up with my routine I should be OK.

Parma and some beers with the boys tonight and then a good mates birthday tomorrow night.

It's going to be one of those weekends where im sitting here right now, staring at about $350 in my wallet which i should really leave at home, but ill take it out with me tonight "just in case" and piss it up against the wall.

Some guy wanted to fight me at a pub for taking down the poster from a wall of the gig I had just been to. I had actually already just paid $5 for the same poster but I wanted one with the date and opening bands written on it.

I'd have been offended but it was Newcastle and that sort of behaviour is to be expected.

And the band was the Anti-Nowhere League so I'd have been offended if at least one person didn't try to hit me over the course of the evening.

On topic: Shit could be so much worser right now. I know I'm known to complain in the frown thread, but things are looking up for ol' Jimity finally. Uni isn't going terribly, I've got a nice bit on the side who enjoys the finer things in life (such as, my penis), and I spent pretty much my entire shift tonight snorting lines and drinking with the boss. Shes such a good sport.

I'll be back on Monday in the frown thread, bewailing the hangover that is sure to follow this weekend; like all weekends...

I just finished one of THE MOST kick-arse selection criteria i've ever written - not only that, but it's generic, and it's for an area that i really want to expand in to, so as new roles come up, I have a fantastic template for future applications.

I also picked my mum up from the airport today; there were so many people at the arrivals section so happy to see each other; hugging, kissing, crying - I love that place. It's also 10 kinds of awesome to have my mum here - especially at this time... she's meeting someone hugely special to me next week, and to say i'm excited about that is the understatement of the century.

Went to the vet at 8am and my older cat came home with nothing other than tartar on her teeth. She is clear from cat flu YAYAY!!!!

Saw my parents for the first time in about 18 months and it went really well. I think I'm un-disowned. Mum wrote me a message on my bathroom mirror telling me she had a great time.

They even left a bottle of wine, a custard tart and a rabbit fur coat from the seventies. That's the sign of a successful BBQ.

Allan Ashley - he's always at the Paddington markets, both he and his wife do quite similar work (he's better though).

We first saw it when we got a pair of smaller paintings for samadhi's birthday last year, but couldn't quite justify the price until I got a bonus from work recently.

So after about 10 months of lusting after it, we went to see if it was still available last weekend, and found it had been bought literally minutes earlier. Allan said he could paint basically the same thing again, so he did it this week and we picked it up this afternoon.

I made a coconut cake with the kiddies this afternoon and it turned out so so well! Moist and delicious, and the buttercream icing despite taking 400gm of butter [!!!] was amazingly lovely.
We took it over to their grandparents and had a gorgeous afternoon tea with them.

Now we're looking forward to settling down with some good od fashioned Counter Strike and maybe a beverage or two over our asparagus, bok choy and pork chops. I know. You read right. I'm eating pork fucking chops.
