How we rolled in the 90s when the pills were super strong

Not to say you can't read a reagent test lol, but there's a LOT new MDMA analogues out.. I'm sure it could easily be one of them.





but no.. I've never had it. I find a good batch and stick with it. No sense in eating fish sticks when you've got caviar at home
 
^ I've known a few people claim the mints and pokes and m80's had batches like that.

Straight purple/black to marquis mandelin, straight navy blue/black to mecke, and blue simon's. idk.

I didn't send to edata. at the time the funding for pills was not available, $120 lab fee. i didn't have that kind of money to throw around, but I did get some big white pisces from a diff connect and those fuckers were BOMB.
 
Ah my bad, I thought you were making a joke in the necro'ed thread. That very topic is one of the biggest reasons this and a couple other threads got so long. It got discussed at great length and although a lot of information was spit out, it was something pretty much impossible for anyone from either side to "prove", only to offer evidence to suggest why one side was more likely than the other.

In other words, a perfect trollin' topic. :P
 
just my 2p as someone who was around and consuming in the 90s.

Something changed in the summer of 1997 in the way mdma was made and this was written about at the time but no matter how hard I try I have been unable to dig out the articles. It was a change in one of the precursers that affected a very large % of the MDMA made in the Netherlands.

I can completely recall that most pills seemed to provide less empathy and loved up feeling. A year of so later came the in/famous mitusubishi pills which were very strong and very cheap. Selling for £1-£2 each.

No getting drawn into the whole debate, but i agree with a lot of the points being made:-

Set and setting - Yes totally can make a difference

Different route to synths changes the feeling of the mdma - yes

Pills were different in the 90s (pre summer of 1997) - Yes, and was very noticeable at the time

Your brain chemisry changes over time - Yes

Can people who have not taken MDMA from the 90s comment on how it felt - Nope.

How is it that, people feel different on different types of drinks? Some people , Rum makes the violent, gin makes them sad, whatever, but, at the end of the night, all they are consuming is ethanol...?
So from that analogy, that differently prepared ethanol induces different emotions in people, why cannot the same hold true with molly?
I don't have a theory for this, unless its a prejudgement, (I am drinking Rum, I shall more than likely be an agro cunt tonight) Ethanol is ethanol, MDMA is MDMA
 
Back to the early days of the white doves

Back in the mid 90's I was a massive pill head and we connected to a good dealer who basically had a huge bag of white doves. Now I'm not sure if anyone knows of these legendary pills back in the 90's but they were potent! Even for the hardcore 2 was more then enough, after a 45min wait it would hit you like a ton of bricks and you would be rushing your nuts off for a good 2-3hrs! I'm talking serious eye wiggles, hard jaw clenching and unable to hold a conversation down.

Then came the trips, yeah they were trippy as hell! But like all great things it came to an end because I abused it and the effects just weren't the same anymore. That was the good old days and years later (I'm talking last year yeah that's how long) my mate who was my pill buddy came over from Sweden to stay for a weekend. I live in Amsterdam (the home of ecstasy) and he said can you get a couple of pills to celebrate the old days?

Last year I got hold of some Tulps (tulips) MASSIVE like the old double doves and we took we caution because we had no resistance, quarter at a time the come up was nice with no wiggly eyes or jaw clenching simply because we spaced it out (quarter at a time). Still floored us mind you but these were clean with no come down, so we have made this a yearly affair.

Next week he comes over again, one year later and I've sorted us out with 5 orange Mario Bullits. The dealer has warned me that they are really strong! he said these are old skool pills so I had one tested. It came back at 212mg!!! Going to drop them a week from now so I will update peeps, going to do half at a time now...

I cant deny that I'm excited like a kid before Xmas, I'm hoping that these little buggers are going to give the doves a run for it's money because nothing has come close so far. This year nearly all the pills in Holland have been around the 200mg range so maybe we are seeing a change.

Don't rely on logos to tell you if the pills are good or not. Right now in Australia there is a batch of white doves that is causing ill effects to users, and there is an adulterated warning on that pill for other users to watch out and not consume.

Test your pills! You may live in the EU with these Mario Karts or w/e but PMA & toxic chemicals are all over the world.

Hey afterlyfestyle you ever been to Holland? This is after trying to tell me about stereo's and shit being bomb mdma pills. Your test kits are obviously not the be all and end all as 5 eapb etc had them pretty well fucked.

To know it tested at 212 mg it's probably GCMS tested as I know these facilities are easily available in EU especially Holland and price is reasonable. Don't know if it is as I'm not the person in question. Here in oz people don't care and are out for a buck in Holland a bad batch of pills puts you out of business. Australian dealers can get away with it, not so much in EU especially Holland. Bad pills over there = no more business.

If I was a professional person with a well paying career and rolled once a year with a mate and lived in Holland why would I not use GCMS facilities?

Back in the day you could tell bunk pills from the real deal. I had some orange JA's that when you tried to split them were like a rock. I needed a kitchen knife. This is because they were imports designed to withstand... well being imported obviously. Not repressed ozzie pills. Or even worse the fake pills getting around. One group I knew/knew off were pressing shit up with chalk. They got done and they were a crew of fuckwits. All that said there were some fucking great local produced pills mid 90's but even they looked like the manufacturers had a quality press at work vs one that was so loud that when the cops raided it the fucking fools were still punching out the duds.

OMG the euphoria of those imported pills. Same with the gold CK's, Russians, hearts, CD's etc etc and blah, blah, blah. Typical 90's raver nostalgia and TomTom's syndrome.

DIY were from notts but did many of the epic free raves in south west england near me . I think the class of this music will stand the test of time tiesto will be well he is imo shite

Not even close buddy meth amphetamine abuse does not lose "the magic" it never had much to begin with. Same as 4MAR no magic lost there just a lot of sleep and temporary semi-insanity. Dopamine is what meth fries the receptor sites of not serotonin to any great extent and certainly not like mdma. Meth makes one feel as if things just are not as good without it, like you need it to feel normal if you have an addiction to it. MDMA is the only substance to lose it's magic.

I sure as fuck have not felt anything the few times I've had MDMA regent tested crystals like what I did back then. Meth however is a different beast. Best you don't even compare the two IMO. The 2cx's are superior substances for me personally. I think I enjoy them more now than I did MDMA back then...

I've rolled off top euro presses and it doesn't get much more pure or high dose then that.
People still rave like this all the time unfortunitley there is a lot of bunk. Get a test kit.

Those bullets look amazing. Had the kombats at a festi and had such an instese amazing night. Came up 30-45 minutes extreme jaw clinching euphoria feelings of unity love and bonding.
Eye wiggles so bad my eyes were I'm the back of my head and had me floored out to the max. Music sounded fantastic amd chillin with my girl for the after role was very pleasureable and sensual. Slept fantastic awoke with an after glow. Roll probably lasted 6 hours start to finish.

Also despite tested crystals looking good it all comes down to the synthesis. Some amazing some run of the mill. There wasn't anything magic they sprinkled in it before they can't now.

Regent tested and obviously high purity MDMA. Synthesis does seem to effect the end quality of the experience. I can't talk synthesis on BL... :( Different effects possibly due to the excessive abuse from way back then. Moved on from MDMA and into the realms of Shulgin's and Nichols research into other psychedelics/empathogens. To quote Shulgin "why does 400mg of this white crystal (mescaline) have all of this in it... allowing me to communicate with parts of me that I have not done so for a very long time."

Discovery of what these substances and combinations of substances and the subjective effects on an individual and the objective effects on brain chemistry is what interests me these days. I think I've experienced almost every one of the PEA's listed in PIHKAL and the majority of psilocin analogues listed in TIHKAL for example. To experience ++++ or greater is something that interests me and have discovered a few. However as Shulgin himself talks about the concern/interest is the permanence of change to thought process and brain chemistry that may be created by ingestion of these. He states he experienced it himself a few times.

That's exactly how me and my mates look like while under the influence. We'd be bouncing all over the place having the "euphoric face" and that's with no added speed or anything, just straight up 120mg of MDMA and maybe a spliff or two throughout. Guess it's just harder to find the right gear these days.
 
that's an interesting site showing pill strengths in the 90's. so an average was 90mgs of MDMA which made them weaker then today so how comes they floored me like no other of today? I suppose my body can handle it now I don't know...
 
I always heard stories back then about people hugging everyone on ecstasy and rubbing the curtains and chewing on pacifiers because they were rolling so hard. Ive taken ecstasy a dozen times or more in the past couple years, in small and huge doses and with several different cuts, and never once felt anything on those levels. Besides music sounding a little better and an odd visual quality I got from molly, Ive never even really enjoyed ecstasy. Id really like to try some of that older stuff, to see if ecstasy was ever really any good at some point.
 
Then you're probably not getting a quality product. If you are then the feelings you mentioned should be a certainty with MDMA. Just bumping around in a crowded place feels like cloud 9.

Man, how I miss rollin'. I remember the first time I got my hands on it. My gf and I were at a Foo Fighters concert in NYC. We met these 2 guys who lived in NYC. We were from NJ. They had the extasy. It was mindblowing. Every sensation was like the best sex I never had..lol! The wind brushing against my flesh felt Amazing...I wanted to greet the world with hugs and massages...And dance, dance, dance!

I had maybe 3 more good rolls after that. They were pills. Since than...FF...I'm now 48, still the coolest 48 eva, but I have tried to buy what they call "Molly" on 3 separate occasions and had my money taken every time and sold crap. Even was sold crap by my husbands coworker who claimed how good this stuff was. Every time we would take them and sit in our living room waiting for the party to start and begin our adventure.,..What a friggin letdown.

It is really hard being older, but fatally hip and having no connects for the groovy stuff. Most of the musicians I know are either dead or in 12 step and don't party anymore. And I can't ask their kids, that would be messed up right??

I have been told it is no longer, and everything else is garbage. It really sucks that I have been suckered by differenent people every time. And in totally opposite areas of the country...NYC and Florida.

I'm ready to give up..No I'm lying, I can't. It has to be out there and I will find it. Because it was so good!! I miss the 90's!
