I think your tolerance might be a major factor in the not being able to notice any effect from it. Honestly I diddnt notice much other than duration lasting slightly longer (but Methadone lasts along time anyways)
It could be my tolerance. Anyway, I have to dose methadone twice a day, it doesn't last for me that long, it's 16 hrs at most and I'm feeling first withdrawal effects. Yet, I've gone down to as low as 10ml (1mg/ml syrup) in the morning and 10ml in the evening right now and I'm feeling "alright" when it's taken along with 5mg of clonazepam and 3mg of dexbrompheniramine.

have you ever tried tagamet with methadone?
on a side note, have you ever taken DXM on methadone?
There are no medications with cimetidine in my country. And no, I have never taken DXM while being on methadone. It's a gross drug for me, even taking 2 tablets (= 30mg of HBr salt) makes me nauseous because of all these times when I threw up after taking DXM. Besides I'm getting enough unpleasant effects like restless legs, boneaches, headaches, insomnia and anxiety during tapering down and DXM might add some side effects to it (especially anxiety and restless legs). And it's completely different with ketamine, I've never thrown up after ketamine (but the pharmacodynamics differ ketamine is more of an NMDA channel blocker and sigma agonism plays a role at very high doses, with DXM it's actually opposite and this distinctive euphoria at lower doses like 300mg comes from sigma activation).
I might try drinking grapefruit juice on a regular basis and see if it has any impact on methadone metabolism, I'd be really glad if I could lengthen its half-life so I'm not all wet and cold waking up in the morning if I don't take the dose in the evening. :/ Not to mention I have terrible problems with falling asleep if I don't smoke some marijuana and I won't smoke every day for God's sake.
