I’ve had some nausea when taking Kratom in particular, but other Opioids as well. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do to avoid getting nauseous or vomiting?
Diphenhydramine (Found in some formulations of Benadryl) has worked for me in the past. Works best if taken about 20 minutes before your drug of choice is taken. Promethazine also has helped prevent nausea. But yea I think most antihistamines are better at preventing/reducing nausea when taken prior to opioidsdoes anybody else have any other reccomendations? what kind of antihistamines can be helpful? i have been dealing with extreme nausea and even the zofran isnt cutting it...
I guess try the combination of the antihistamine and the zofran but as far as I’m aware zofran (ondansatron) is the most effective anti nausea medication there is so if that’s not helping you might be out of luck and will just have to take less of the opioid. My partner gets very nauseous from small doses of opioids used for pain relief even when she has taken ondansatron and promethazine to try and help the nausea. Also if the nausea outweighs the positives then it may be best just not to take them at alldoes anybody else have any other reccomendations? what kind of antihistamines can be helpful? i have been dealing with extreme nausea and even the zofran isnt cutting it.

I just learned that hyoscine is a deliriant in high doses. You could also consider hyoscine hydrobromide (Kwells, Joyrides).
Just be aware many antiemitic medications also have a sedative effect, so use extreme caution when combining with opiods.
That's gravol. It's safe in normal dosesOk, cool. Yeah, I think I may have gotten to a point where the mg is too high, but I’m trying to make it work until my detox at the end of August. I appreciate all of the help, y'all. I'm going to try the recommendations and get back to you. Has anybody had any experience with Dramamine (dimenhydrinate)? I also see that there are some worries about serotonin syndrome, which I recently learned about and am still trying to understand.
They act on the CNS ? So it could slow your breathing to a dangerous level? You could also consider hyoscine hydrobromide (Kwells, Joyrides).
