How strong is Halcion (triazolam)?

According to most charts Ive seen 0.5mg's of triazolam is about equal to 10mg's of diazepam thus it is of the same potency more or less as alprazolam or clonazepam. However given it's rather strong hypnotic and amnesiac effects no doubt it feels heavier then xanax or clonazepam and most likely causes way more blacking out. Benzos are very subjective drugs so it's different for everyone.

I would start at taking one pill that you have and just see how that effects you. The last thing you want to happen is to eat too many of them, blackout and wake up the next morning with a empty bottle of halcion and no clue as to what you did the night before.
 
yeah no i'ma use them for sleeping, for real
but yeah, i could start with a low dose, see if it knocks me out, 'cause i need something that knocks me out
 
Benzos should be a lost resort. Have you tried other things (both behavioral and medicinal) to help with sleep?
 
yeah but this is for just like, a few times, not everyday use, just gonna use them a few times when i can't sleep
i just want it to knock me out, but yeah i'll be careful, definitely

If I had a dollar for everytime I have heard this line only for the person to end up using daily, I would be modding bluelight from a Penthouse Suite in Manhattan while getting a massage from my beautiful female assistants.

Most people are better off never starting with benzos.

Halcion should be dealt with a bit more carefully than other benzos because it does carry with it more amnesia, and, possibly, impaired judgement. I don't know your benzo tolerance, but 0.125 mg is a low dose, even for a benzo-naive individual. And, for sleep, I would take all of the Halcion in one dose so that you may sleep better as it gives that "kick" and so that you do not forget how much you have consumed.
 
yeah but it's a good starters dose though, i'm a little guy, so 0.125mg might be enough, i'll give it a try sometime

and i agree with the benzo things people said, got bad self control, today i'm gonna try and not take a pill, except the ones i need for sleep, they ain't benzos
 
Triazolam, along with brotizolam, are the most potent benzodiazepines by weight. However, potency means very little. It's only a number.
In its effects, triazolam is the most sedative benzo I have ever experienced and I have experienced many, many benzos. However, it is not much of an anxiolytic or muscle relaxant. It is straight up knock you out type of benzo. Ironically enough, it is not the most toxic benzo. Another benzo sedative-hypnotic, temazepam holds that title.

That is not necessarily true. Triazolam usually gets a bad rep for no good reason. A study done comparing temazepam and triazolam as far as "impaired judgement" and "disturbance in behavior" or "amnesia" showed that temazepam is even worse than triazolam.

Actually, every chart puts it at 0.25 mg triazolam = 10 mg diazepam. It is at least 2x more potent than alprazolam or clonazepam! Triazolam comes in 0.125 mg tablets and 0.25 mg tablets only.

interesting facts (the other posts too), but i gotta ask, when you say 0.25mg triazolam = 10mg diazepam, do you mean the sedative effects? 'cause then i can't really see how it'd knock you out

No, the charts measure anxiolytic effects. However, the hypnotics tend to be stronger in overall effect on an individual (stronger sedation, stronger muscle relaxation, more impairment, etc). So at those doses (0.25 mg triazolam and 10 mg diazepam) you'd have a much stronger sedative-hypnotic effect from the triazolam, while at the same time getting roughly equal anxiety relief as 10 mg of diazepam.

i gotta admit i'm a bit confused, zopiclone has started making me confused but last time it was fine and now i'm smoking weed to try and fix it

It's okay, lol.
Zopiclone is not a fun drug, IMO. The trashy taste in the mouth is so horrible that I can't imagine how anyone can abuse the drug or find it recreational (not saying you, just in general). It can cause confusion, but so do most benzos. All sedative-hypnotics tend to cause confusion. Even the old barbiturates caused massive confusion and amnesia.
 
i don't get that side effect with the nasty taste everyone's talking about
i used to love them so much before and i abused them a lot, then they stopped working, but now when i take 5, i get a real nice, happy buzz, gonna make some coffee, tends to make it stronger for me
sometimes i get real confused and that's especially when i'm planning out my next day, like if i gotta go run and do something, then i just leave all forums 'cause that's when i fuck up
 
You're a lucky one that doesn't get that metallic taste, I guess. Most of us do get it and it is horrendous.

if it is like that, is it much stronger? and where do you feel it?
