How old were you the first time you used ecstasy?

Anyone else surprised that the majority of the responses are between 16 and 18? I would have guessed the average to be in the early 20s myself.

Yes I am very surprised and I am glad you brought this up. IMO 16 is definitely too young to be able to handle the effects, and possibilties of psychological dependence on the drug. I'll bet abuse is more common if you start at 16, than it is if you start at 20+.

I started at 17 and still am. I wouldn't of started sooner because I was brainwashed by the government into thinking mdma would cause a slow and painful death, like the media seem to make out.

I dont mind if I started then or in High school but I am glad I waited until my mind/body stopped devolping.

I am 25 now and have used it since the first time, on about 30-35 seperate occasions.

The last time I did it was 9 months ago...

My first was 16 and it was one of the best experiences of my life so i think my opinion is pretty biased, but it did open me up to other drugs at an age i think was too young, so I would probably tell someone else to wait till they are over 18
