• Guest, Welcome to FESTIVUS

🎄 Christmas 🎄 How much did you overindulge today?

All these monster gabapentin doses mentioned in this thread make me wonder if people are following the "street rules" I was taught growing up about gabbies, where you need to have recently eaten something containing lipids, and you should space it out in 300mg intervals of gabapentin for maximum absorption. I've tested it and have found those rules to be pretty accurate personally, so I tend to just graze on something oily while also munching down gabs like they're the bottom of my food pyramid, when I've got them. Damn do they go well with other downers, as well as acid, 2C-B, DiPT, 5-MeO-DiPT, and 3-HO-PCP in my experience.

This christmas my boyfriend and I were fervently packing for a 1,400 mile move I drove in one 30 hour stint while awake for three days (thank you amphetamine, ephedrine, caffeine and bupropion), but we took adequate breaks to watch old horror movies, smoke sherm (3-HO-PCP dipped American Spirits specifically) and munch down some carisoprodol. I'd also been intermittently sipping on this weird potion containing four of the aforementioned psychedelics (2C-B, DiPT, 5-MeO-DiPT and LSD), and on the 23rd had taken, according to my notes:
  • 45mg of 2C-B.
  • 25mg of 5-MeO-DiPT.
  • ~160mg of DiPT.
  • ~175ug of LSD.
It was mixed into a Jones Blue Bubblegum soda and drank over the course of maybe 30-45 minutes while watching a docuseries about The Grateful Dead, who I knew literally nothing about before this. The trip that ensued was like getting repetitively on and off of the karmic wheel of rebirth, constantly being reborn as a shark, otter, sea lion, etc., watching climate change take place for the next ~80 years and watching many of my relatives explain to me how the natural habitats for these creatures will shift over time. This really set the tone for the days between the 23rd and the departure for the move on the 28th to be a peaceful time of sherm-laden reflection and soma-fueled rest, with the necessary packing dotted in between.

Weird thing with Gabapentin that MAY be unique to me, but, yeah, with it being lipophilic, the general consensus is to have consumed a high fat meal (or at the very least have like a couple tablespoons of peanut butter) before taking it. I used to do this, then one day I had nausea really bad and my anti-emetics weren't helping. I wasn't vomiting, but was nauseated enough that I couldn't eat at all and that's when I discovered that - for ME - Gabapentin actually hits WAY harder on an empty stomach.

I have heard some other people saying that too I don't know why so many experience as you describe.

I have just used to take low-volume high-fat/oil dose of something along with maybe something acidic if I have something.

Grrrrrr.
As stated, I had ~6500 calories on Xmas day and then I averaged around 4000 calories a day every day from Dec 26nd to Dec 31st. Yet, despite all that, I only gained 1lb over that time period. I weighed 117lb before Xmas and 118 on New Years Day.
I've eaten between 1200 and 1800 calories since New Years and have ALSO GAINED 1lb and am now 119.

HOOWWWWW can averaging 4400 cal/day for a week result in a 1lb weight gain but also averaging 1500 cal/day for a week result in a 1lb weight gain.

Wonder if am still being retroactively punished for (really, very slight) over-indulgence over Xmas.

Was feeling lonely this morning, so went on facebook (which I log onto literally maybe twice a year) too catch up from old friends and realized it's my ex's wedding anniversary :(
So, because of that, so far today:

Weight 119lbs, Calories 2198, Cigarettes 10, Codeine 360mg, Gabapentin 3300mg

Particularly bad as it is only 6am and also I now only have 240mg Codeine left until Friday :(

I'm never sure what to do with the acidity thing as I always take Gaba's along with opioids so one requires MORE acidity and one requires LESS.

Yeah, before, with the fact thing, if I REALLY didn't feel like eating, I'd even take like a tablespoon of straight oil lol. Usually olive or coconut.

Honestly not that much... from memory- smoked salmon & eggs for breakfast, full Christmas dinner with all trimmings & pannetone ice cream bomb for desert. A magnum of Whispering Angel between 4 of us. Turkey sandwiches for supper & festive leg-over the missus! Boxing night was a little more naughty, involving a sexy festive lingerie show in the lounge room whilst rolling nicely on Mandy!

Close. I'm 5'6
Reason I was asking that was because back in the day when I was still a trainer, females in that range always had the weirdest and fastest metabolism. Well at least my side of the world. But either way, I would see it as I blessing.

Oh and I totally get you on being able to guess colaries by eye balling portion sizes especially on foods I ate a lot of and still do.

Don't be quick to jump to conclusions on the metabolism thing, when I was 17, I got up to 178 lol.

Maybe a hormonal puberty thing bet you were slender later on, but I get what you saying.

For interest sake you really supplementing with vit b2

No, I just basically did an extreme version of yo-yo dieting from the ages of 11-18. Like I would eat 400 calories a day and lose 40lbs in a couple months and then eat like 4000 calories a day and gain 40lbs in a few months.
I got to my highest weight (178lbs) at 17 and I was actually okay with how I looked, really, as I tend to store very little fat on my stomach or face, but I felt like crap partly from being overweight (I think my BMI was like 29) and from eating like shit, so decided to lose weight for health reasons. Went too far, though, and ended up being hospitalized at 88lbs.
Been much healthier in recent years, though. I usually weigh around 120 in the Winter and around 110 in the Summer*

*not 100% deliberate, I think more due to swapping out Coke Zero for latte's an hot chocolates in the Winter, and then hot weather always kills me appetite a bit in Summer.

What is it you think I need to take b2 for?

Interesting that you messed around so much with your dieting from such an early age but sure a wealth of knowledge especially about your own body you must have learnt must be immense.

115-120 with a healthy bf% sounds healthy to me foe your height, just glad you away from being a feather.

Oh the b2 comment comes from your signature as riboflavin is b2 and funny enough helps with metabolism

Ohh, I forgot my signature lol. The riboflavin thing was a bit random xD

Yeah, I looked disgusting at 88. I don't know my actual body fat %, but I think it's pretty healthy as I have okay muscle definition. Definitely would NOT call myself "ripped" or anything, but my stomach is firm and you can see my biceps without me having to like *flex* lol.

The messing around and extremes with eating and weight sucks that I went through, but a certain benefit is all the knowledge of the calories and macronutrients and things like that in almost everything.

... how does the leg-over feature in terms of calorie consumption. 😶
