It's weird how needles pull you back to them. I decided to myself to quit IV'ing and donated all my gear to friend who do it regardless and yet here I am a third time buying new kits and shooting up. I did notice that shooting bupe is a waste, but everytime I score something more worthy, out come the needles. It's like cigarettes in that way, I'm perfectly happy using e-cigs but when I go out with friends or go out drinking, I buy the real deal. I doubt anyone reading this thread cares but DON'T START, not even once. It really gets you hooked.
 
I just started, I used to watch my dealer injecct, then a amate came around and IV'd me 50mg or so of crystal. NO RUSH , but effects felt instantly..

Now I keep t the following equipment

Syringes
3x 1ml slip tip BD tuberculin syringe
100x+ 3ml leur lock terumo Syringe
3x 5ml slip tip terumo syringe
2x 10ml slip tip terumo syringe

Needles

50x terumo 30G 1/2" length needle
27x terumo 27G 1/2" Length needle
25x terumo 25G 1" length needle (I started using these when i first IV'd self. OMG BRUISES!! too BIG)
25 terumo 18G 1 1/2" length BLUNT drawing needle (not sure if you want to use these to suck through a cotton for a filter? or just for IV IM medication bottles.) Either way.

I also keep various handy prescribed & legal meds, that will save lives in overdose of stimulants, Opiates... well, I wouldn't mind a vial of narcan for others safety, not mine of course (I'm on the program)

I just did a test shot with saline and the 30g take ages to push through about 0.5ml of water (3ml barrel), still i like how healthy theyare on the veins
 
I got Narcan prescribed to me through a clinic in Sydney which is the only place in NSW, maybe Australia where you can get it. So I am legally allowed to give it to someone if theyre OD'ing and when im using I make sure someone knows where it is at all times. It is an invaluable part of my kit. Ive had people OD in my presense before(they didnt die thank god) and ive OD'd and needed narcan in recent times so im so glad I went and got some.

If it is available wherever you are(its not hard to find out, ring your local or your countries drug & alcohol hotline or NSP) then I cant emphasize enough how important it is that you get your hands on some. It most certainly cant hurt to have some.

Yeah Narcan, (as horrible as it feels to be given, hah) really is a life saver. It's brought me and many people I know back many times.
 
I might just go see my GP and be like, look... I hang around people who do stupid shit. I'm on the methadone, but can i please have a narcan script it may save someones life?

Other than narcan I can get naltrexone tablets online, dunno if those would do??
 
when someone is oding every second counts, crushing up pills to shoot in water is not only dangerous but ineffective. im sure there are some places that you can get them semi legally.
 
IVed heroin, coke, meth, 5-MeO-DMT, oxycodone, hydromorphone, meperidine, MDMA, speedballs, methballs, MDMA with Meth. Ever since I've IVed the first time, snorting will never be the same, EVER.
 
I would definitely like to get the narcan; I'm pretty sure that there's a class you can take where, at the end of it, they give you something like 2 narcan "shots" or whatever they are, all ready to go and save someones life...

I've been lucky, very luck, incredibly lucky, to have a friend fall out on me twice and each time the paramedics were able to make it there before he slipped away completely. (yikes, writing that sent a chill down my spine...) But of course I would have been much better prepared and much more able to deal with the situation had I some narcan on hand.
 
I believe one can order it online as am RC, some doctors will script it, some needle exchanges hand it out. In Illinois the Chicago recovery alliance distributes it I know of.
 
Didnt know ny gives it out, thats good tho considering how big it is. I havent been to the needle exchange here in ages nor do i really chill with any ppl that are str8 up dopers anymore, just a few chippers and the rest on maint. But what makes narcan have such a short bottle life? If it were lypholized and in a dry amp would it increase the shelf life? Or do you think ppl would be even less inclined to uuse it because its one more thing to reconstitue with bac water or saline? I could see ppl trying to sniff up the dry powder if they thought they od'd
 
It actually has a decent shelf life. Just gotta keep it out of direct sunlight. My amps always came in a box and they lasted a good 3-4 months in a car.
 
Does anyone push down to inject using their thumb? I've seen this in movies and on TV and I can't figure out how you'd check to see if you were still registered if you were pushing the plunger down with your thumb. The position of your hand would make it really difficult.

Meh, they hardly ever get it right.
 
I have injected.

A total of two times. The first was morphine, and I was pretty disappointed. It came on fast but ultimately I would have had a better time taking three or four hydrocodone, not to mention it would have lasted longer. My main reason for wanting to inject in the first place was to feel the "rush". It wasn't very strong and the whole high wore off in less than an hour or so.

So I sought out what was the best for injection rush wise. After asking a lot of people the consensus seemed to be that hydromorphone, while not as good in duration as diamorphine, apparently had the best rush.

So I was lucky enough to secure some. Came in a nice little marked vial. It hit me like a fucking brick to the face. Shit was heavy and awesome. The rush was seriously incredible. First my whole body went numb for about two seconds and then it felt like electricity shot through me, euphoric electricity that was tingling all over the place. When the rush finished it was followed by a very strong Hydrocodone-esque opiate high, like I had CWE'd 30 of the fucking things. I was high for about 7 hours and started coming down at 5.


That was about 7 months ago. It was a great experience and I do not plan on ever doing anything IV again. I'm perfectly content with oral administration. If I ever IV again it'll have to be at least a year later, and then probably I'd wait the same amount of time if I wanted to do it again. I never want that to become something I begin to do regularly, even if it's just once a month. I know where that road leads...it's not pretty.

Huh? I always inject with my thumb, and I have absolutely no trouble registering. I hit 1st time, every time. Well, almost.
 
How do you pull back to make sure you're still registered?

Which fingers do you use to pull the plunger back to make sure you're registered the first time?
