I used to be an IV heroin addict for a number of years but I'd only snort it these days. My life used to be very chaotic back then and I wouldn't want to deal with all that mess again. Feeling that rush was pretty nice though and I do miss it at times. It caused a lot of damage to my veins shooting up and it became a real chore to find someplace I could register, that's another reason I don't bother with it anymore. It just became too much of a hassle for me and very frustrating.

But I would happily use a syringe to IM Dissociatives :D
 
I'll never understand why more tweakers don't do it. I guess it was a natural evolution for me since I'm first and foremost a junky. But IV meth is like a whole different drug than smoking it. Same for coke too I guess.
 
I have a few times, I realize that if done correctly it's quite safe. Stigma aside, I feel that is is a valuable tool for administrating drugs for their full potential. I do realize that there are some drugs that are definitely not safe to inject. I have not injected anything for a few years no, I don't see myself injecting anything any time soon either.

J/K , it's only fun when you do it to yourself. Was scared shitless of needles as a kid. Used to have recurring nightmares of walking down a street paved with syringes barefoot. So kind of ironic I guess.

Yeah, it definitely sucked to wake up to a demon-like version of someone thought to be a friend jamming a needle in my arm... because he thought I should try to iv heroin & coke and I did not want to. Crazy time, glad it's over:)

The idea of somebody forcefully IV'ing somebody a speedball.. or anything for that matter... is just insane. I've known a lot of scum bags over the years and done a lot of fucked up some myself but that is just unbelievable.

Unless you live in an area with difficult access to clean needles yet access to jet injectors, I wouldn't bother. I've heard they hurt quite a lot more than a needle. But hey I'd be willing to try it just for the novelty.
 
I have injected many times, and I feel it is overrated. The near instantaneous effect is amazing, and it does usually tend to lead to a better high, but I just don't think it's sustainable.
 
^What exactly isn't sustainable? The addiction? The improved high? It depends on what you inject....There's a lot of things not really worth IVing. The "big three" hard drugs all can have an intense rush. Personally I don't think it's worth the extra misery and risk it causes to not use other ROAs.

Crystal is about the only drug I still like snorting. I prefer free basing cocaine and I definitely will never do anything but shoot heroin. I would use H a different way, but the needle is such a part of it for me at this point.

It makes you feel kind of cool doing it the first few times, kind of like a bad ass, even though there's really nobody there to impress. Then you just feel like a loser after that, but you become obsessed with the needle and lose the patience to have to wait entire minutes for the drugs to hit you...

When you get to be in your late 20s, 30s like me, it's def not something you take pride in and bring up to new acquaintances.
 
Started injecting two days ago. Wrong needles, though. >_< I'm gonna go pick up the right needles today.
 
I don't. Sometimes I wish the pills I take when straight into my veins though.

Edit: I think about it a lot, but Oxy's bioavail is good orally so the compulsion is easy to control (why risk it with no access to micron filters of any kind for 13 % more right?) and the hydromorphone pills I have access to, have that virtually inpenetrable OROS system.

^^not worth injecting if no rush either. Injected oxycodone was boring to me and reckless with no reward.

I should dig out the camera and take pictures of my arms, wrists, hands for you.....

Wish I had just started, so much easier to take a U-turn at that point.
