Hey i'm a "runner" (a treadmill runner that is) who likes to snort heroin! So your not alone even though I only snort it. I always workout first and then do my heroin. I went to the gym for 30 minutes this morning and now i'm sitting here sniffing heroin

. Does the potentiation work better if you do the dope first and then workout? I do notice some after working out though but it's nothing too major. I wish I had some weed though...that would be perfect right now.
Sweet! I never really hit the treadmill, kind of find it boring, and I noticed I never run in a straight line for very long if I'm on the road, sidewalk, or on trails, so I feel very weird just running straight for an extended period.
I think it works good after, but for some reason with opiates, I feel like if you do some first, then do some more after the stuff you do after is going to feel much stronger. I've noticed this with heroin and with oxycodone where I do less of an amount after the run, but I get way more fucked up. Having weed is always a necessity when I have opiates. Also it is a necessity when I don't have opiates. Weed definitely increases my chances of nodding and is super awesome after a workout. I use a vaporizer and rarely actually smoke.
apparently when you exercise it effects your opioid receptors, but that's just a theory.
It is also supposed to create anandamide which is taken in by the cannabinoid receptor (same receptor that takes in THC). Between the endorphins and anandamide running can give a sort of opiatey/weedy type of high. I've noticed it a lot more after all these years of running and of using both these drugs. I imagine that since I've created so many more opiate receptors because of my abusing them, that the endorphins effect me more than someone who hasn't abused it. I also feel like my using weed has made me feel the anandamide better. That's my theory on the whole thing.
Either way, running makes me feel good.
So true, a feeling of satisfaction = more endorphins = more euphoria.
And yes it applies for nearly every drug. Smoking a joint after work is so much better than "just smoking a joint".
Word. I almost always toke up before and after a workout. The post workout toke is fucking awesome! Like I said earlier in the post I use a vaporizer. Smoking just bothers my lungs too much and makes running too hard for me.
It's kind of crazy going out running after using drugs because I can't imagine anyone in the world being like, "I bet that dude running over there is high on weed and heroin".
I'll give it a try some time, running with ya after we do some bags... lol
I'd definitely recommend it. However, I definitely recommend being careful. I never do any crazy hard runs or any runs that are going to get my heart rate really going if I've done dope. I just feel like with it already slowing down my heart rate a bit, that going on too hard of a workout might put too much strain on my heart. This has to be taken more into consideration if you're trying to run in the heat of the summer. Things like staying properly hydrated become even more important.
This has inspired me to not use my opiod habit as an excuse not to work out.
The first hour, especially with oxy, usually gets me fairly motivated where I think it's pretty enjoyable to do some basic workouts. After a bit, I start feeling more fucked up, take a few tokes, and then I'll be not far off nodding out.
