Heroin How dyou deal with PAWS when you don't have meds around?

Just wondering about what you said to Pagey about the methadone or bupe...would it be longer (PAWS) simply because they are longer acting/longer half life drugs or is there some other reason?

Yes, I asked because the acute withdrawl from Bupenorphine (and iirc also Methadone) usually lasts longer than the short acting opioids.
So the PAWS-phase should theoretically linger more too. Can anybody confirm this?

And I agree on Promethazine and the worsening of RLS it can cause. Ironic if one takes it for sleep.

If you can make it to your nearest drugstore, get some Imodium. the pill kind. I believe they come in 2 mg tablets. That should help tremendously with the physical. The only thing with this is that the lope takes hours to work and you will eventually poo a lot but days later.

RLS - eat bananas if you can get to a grocery store. Or if you are already at the drugstore, get some potassium with your Imodium.

Masturbating. I know this sounds weird but it does release some kind of chemicals in your brain when you have an orgasm. I'm sure you are not up to dealing with another person so self-love would be the way to go with this. It could distract you from wanting drugs for at least a few minutes. And without any drugs in your system, you should be able to have an orgasm quickly.

clonidine helps for anxiety but really loperamide is the best for PAWS, so long as you taper off it. Right now i'm stuck at 10mg. If i take 8mg/day instead i get chills, anxiety and feel impending doom. then i take 2-4mg after that and everything is better again. So i'd be cautious but it does work for PAWS when you don't have any meds around, just don't get hooked on loperamide, as the withdrawals are actually terrible and it is hard as hell to taper with after a while of being on it. Hopefully i can come off it soon without shitting non stop as my skin crawls away from me and i sweat and shiver. God damn. I hate opiates.

Yes the PAWS from bupe and methadone lasts much much longer than something like heroin. It's a huge reason why many end up going back to using.

^. Is this still the case if you did a short, 1 week taper involving a total of 4mg? I'm 5 days out from .25mg and I'm just now getting the gastrointestinal portion of my kick. Just wondering if I'd have been better off tapering with oxy and jumping from 5 mg or so.

Kratom bro. Try the kratom. Just low doses though. 3-4g tops. You just want to knock out the anxiety and get back to normal living. Take the newton for a week, dosing 3-4g every 6-8 yr for a week. Then drop to 1-3g for a week. Then stop. You should be back to normal or at least in better control of your anxiety and emotions. Those other meds are just gonna jerk you back under.

Stay the hell away from traditional opiates. Bad news.

QI've never even tried h, thank god as my love for good opiates is epic. I'm thankful that I've never had that drug because I know without a doubt I would be in that same boat. My weakness is good ole fasion vicodin/Norco. Hydrocodone to be exact. Love the Shit as it does what it was prescribed o me for, kills pain. Also kills emotions, true guided drive and relationships.

I'm dealing with w/d's at this moment and kratom has been my life saver. Without it this past week would have been the terrible. Luckily I knew about it and ordered some. It has made the week bearable. It will help calm the nerves. It acts similar to an opiate. Be careful, quit the daily use the day you notice things are better without it. Kratom is addictive.

Stay strong and good luck!!!!

Kratom bro.

Stay strong and good luck!!!![/QUOTE]

I'm not a vendor or of any affiliation of any vendor. Just a believer in this natural leaf. It's helped me countless times and I even substituted my normal meds with it for about six months. Did develop a small dependency in that time but was easily kicked with a fast taper. The best and most consistent I have found is speciosa specialist. Speciosa.com. most people love the Bali, I recommend small doses of the meang-da.

yes they are good but you can't mention vendors here, Maeng da is great. If you have a serious habit, lope + kratom will almost completely kill the withdrawals. PAWS are a different thing though and last months for most people. Kratom and lope will both extend the PAWS, so at some point or another you have to face it. But yeah, kratom and lope is how i got through it, still stuck on lope though which sucks but i don't get high and it's really cheap so fuck it.

Right, it is the depression and lack of absolutely the even tiniest bit of energy that does me in with PAWS. I have tons of responsibilities daily (and no one really to take over them) and I have to be able to keep going...there I no break in life for me. So what can help with this? With PAWS I get up and do what is absolutely necessary for kids (bathe, fee, supervise) but that's it. Have hard time feeding myself or anything else.

I'm a supporter of kratom also, I think it is an awesome tool for tons of people. I have over several years tried many types and I have never used for any extended period of time nor very frequently. But I swear that now anytime I try to take it, if I take enough to feel it then I end up with severe dizziness. It had been about 6 months since I had had any. Any ideas?

There is an A+ fantastic OTC answer for WDs but I don't want to post it in open forum. if too many folks started grabbing the stuff, might alert the wrong folks and mess it allll up. Message me and I'll gladly share.

Otherwise, to med for WDs IMO is definitely LYRICA nothing else works like it~! I went on about this at some length in the Lyrica mega thread not 15 minutes ago, so check it out if you're so inclined~

We don't encourage secret magical fixes here... what you're going to suggest could possibly be very harmful and you not even know about it. I'd rather you post it here where we can all see it and give our opinion, if you could. I'm sure it's nothing we haven't heard of 100 times before.
