Cocaine How do you actually judge COKE quality?

If it is cut with an INACTIVE ingredient -- usually not so much problem (Long as ya aint banging or cooking it)..... ACTIVE INGREDIENTS... Unacceptable.... Best of luck though coke sucks now days.

Melting point? Bleach test? Full GC/MS NMR if you bout that life

and isnt it a problem cut? I read about levamisole being a cut and that being a problem....??
Levamisole seems to have stopped being detected as much in recent samples according to the test results on Wedinos.

More forgiving and less awful cuts are being picked up like Tropacocaine, Norcocaine, Phenacetin.

The best quality coke I've ever had I scored in Jamaica back in 1997. We took a cruise for a high school graduation trip. All my friends got off and rode with a cabby and smoked weed. I got off the ship by myself and got some blow. My driver stopped in the middle of a two-way alley as wide as one car in downtown Ocho Rios, left the car running with me in it, and ran in a building and came back out with the best coke I've had in my life.

I've had the fish scale coke, and it's really good, don't get me wrong, but this was unreal.

It looked almost like amber, but more yellow. I compared it at the time to a mix of amber and yellow Dial soap. Not quite as see through as amber but less orange and more yellow and a little more dense like the soap.

I was fairly experienced with coke at the time and would easily rail a line of fish scale 3-4" long with ease. I cut a line out of the Jamaica coke maybe 3/4" long, one for me and one for my buddy. We laid on our bunks in the cabin of the cruise ship for what seemed like an hour but was probably 20 minutes and didn't say a word. Numb as fuck. Then we were jacked for the rest of the night. Of course, we kept hitting small bumps all night, but it was so clean. The come down didn't feel dirty like you needed to do more or you were going to die. It wasn't pleasant, but it was different.

I haven't had anything like it in 30 years.

I would love to have some of that again.

yupp 99-01 I had access to that grade but I didnt graduate till 06 so I was a little young to appreciate good blow.

I remember snorting a QG and ending up naked sweating in my parents bathroom with the door locked throwin cold water on my numb face....

Unfortunately the best answer is "A test bump / line" and than if it is fented you dead -- if it has meth in it you up all night etc

Hey, I’ve been reading a lot here and trying to understand how people actually judge coke quality in real life.

There’s a lot of talk about things like texture, stickiness, dryness, smell, how it breaks up, etc., but also a lot of conflicting opinions.

I’m especially curious if anyone here ever had something that was actually tested (reagent or even lab) and then compared it with what they expected.

If you’re up for sharing:

- how did it look/feel? (powdery, clumpy, sticky, dry, “fluffy”, etc.)

- any noticeable smell?

- how did it behave physically? (breaking up, dissolving, moisture)

- and how did the effects compare to what you expected?

Also curious if anything surprised you — like something that looked “good” but wasn’t, or the opposite.

Not looking for sources or anything like that, just trying to understand how reliable these signs really are in practice.

Appreciate any insight. 🙏🏻
I only ever heard of one way to test it at home and after seeing your thread I Googled it and it said it’s true,so here it goes. You’ll need a scale, triple beam preferably,we’ll use a gram to make the math easy,if you get a gram of coke and cook it with baking soda to make freebase/crack ,if it’s pure after cooking you should get 9/10 of a gram of freebase/crack back. The 1/10 is a loss that happens because of the chemical reaction that happens when cooking it with the baking soda, you’re removing the hydrochloride..I believe I got that right. When I use to smoke I used to check it by weight before and after occasionally and if I got back 3/4 the weight that I started with I’d be happy as a pig in shit…

Then when I switched to shooting coke if I seen like an oil slick look to it ,it would also smell slightly I knew it was good coke,to see the oil slick you’d need to use a metal spoon,a white,or black plastic spoon or water bottle top you couldn't see it.

Take a peek at what I found on Google regarding it,

“The Chemistry of the Loss
    • Removing the Hydrochloride: Powder cocaine is a salt (cocaine hydrochloride). When you cook it with baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and water, a chemical reaction occurs that strips away the hydrochloride portion to leave behind the "free base" form (crack). [1, 2, 3]
    • The Yield: The hydrochloride part accounts for about 11% of the weight of pure powder cocaine. Therefore, 1 gram of 100% pure cocaine powder chemically yields a maximum of about 0.89 grams of pure crack cocaine base. [1]
Because of this chemical weight loss, 1 ounce (28.35 grams) of pure cocaine powder yields a maximum mathematical return of roughly 0.89 ounces (about 25.23 grams) of pure crack.

Why Some "Get an Ounce Back" in Reality
If someone cooks an ounce of street cocaine and gets an exact ounce (or more) of crack back, it is due to two factors:
    • Leftover Baking Soda: In standard "street" cooking methods, unreacted baking soda and water remain trapped inside the dried rocks, artificially inflating the final weight. [1]
    • Cutting Agents: Street cocaine is rarely pure. It is heavily diluted with other white powders and adulterants. Many of these cutting agents do not wash out during the boiling process and end up locked into the final product, adding to the total weight. [1, 2, 3, 4] “
