How do raves get away with this?

yeah, I bet they have tester on hand at the rave if they are even planning on taking the confiscated pills or selling it back to people.

OP where was the rave and what rave was it? Just curious, I don't see too many raves in my area and I'd like to go even if it means traveling.


I've never bought pills at an event, shit other than pills sure at Phish concert like chocholate hearts with shroomies in them, awesome product. I always have my own reliable source with dank pills. But then again if I was desperate, had no source or it was dry, then definitely I'd buy pills at an event. But I'd probably have a panic attack taking it until I knew it wasn't gonna kill me. It all stemmed from a bad mushroom trip where fore a while I was afraid to eat anything cuz it might make me trip or something.

And to the OP - sneaking your pills in your balls is a genius idea. If I think I might be thoroughly searched I put it in discardable well fitting small container up my vag. Not recommended for obvious reasons, but I gut stuff in that way onto a plane when addicted and wanted to travel. I know, very stupid. I put it inside a tampon in a plastic bag. I wonder if they'd actually go to the lengths of dissecting the tampon for drugs.
 
Certain events hire an off duty police officer to stand by the door at their event. Others get by because people don't point out the obvious (or until someone does) like you're doing with this thread.

I think most of the cops you see at medium to large sized raves are there on a quid pro quo agreement with the promoter(s). We won't shut down your party, and won't dig deeper than the obvious when picking off criminals, as long as you allow us to maintain a visible presence there, and your party doesn't damage any property or disturb anyone outside.

Another way to look at it is this: Law enforcement, on some level, knows that they cannot ever get rid of a drug-using subset of the population. So the best they can do is corral them all together and let them do their thing under supervision. Any LE spokesperson would be hard pressed to admit this, though.

Yeah. True all that. It's called harm prevention. Thats all they really do in australia. THey have dogs outside the event. Police inside the event.

They're only real there for harm prevention though.
I was talking to one on tabs once, theyre friendly as :P

It's pretty standard practice in the UK for this sort of thing to go on. There are plenty of clubs I've been to where I've turned up early, been searched, gone inside and been offered pills right away by a guy sitting in plain sight of the bouncers. I used to go to a club most weekends where the same three guys stood outside the toilets every night selling pills, it's not like the bouncers can have just not noticed. One time I even saw a dealer I knew catching some kip on top of a fridge behind the bar.
 
dont underestimate how much mones (sometimes at least) is involved in big events....i think theyll bribe the right people & still do a fuckin big profit by sellin the stuff on their event. works fine when you search the guests properly before the come in....
 
doesn't sound like we see too much of this in east coast usa, but would not surprise me lots of other places... in the end, it may be a much more efficient way of dealing with the "problem." it certainly helps to make sure that the candy kids are only getting candy, and given that they are going to buy something no matter what, maybe better to make sure they get what they want easily instead of 100 kids getting sick from pills made of meph + fleph + TMA-34 + instant coffee

What I don't understand is how raves are able to get away with this.. especially public raves. All it would take is 1 cop in plain clothes and the whole rave is busted... but that didnt' happen. In fact at the end of the night there were tons of cops on the perimeters standing outside but not doing anything. Cops have to be aware that people are doing massive amounts of drugs at these raves..

So whats the deal? Do the cops not care? How many raves have been busted?

ive been a 'raver/into the rave scene' for 18 years.

the police know what goes on.

A Narc could be anyone. That's the point. There's nothing you can really watch for because they will say or do anything which is why they're called rats. Rats will do anything to survive as will a narc/rat.
 
honestly its a ring of misillusion, police corrall everyone in, bouncers confiscate pills/etc give them to the promoter to "dispose of" then the pills are given to the dealers who are close with the rave promoter and wont get kicked out if caught... and of course the promoter gets a cut, while the cops never even enter the venue, get paid and meet their quota of drugs for the night..

corruption and lies? yes, but thats life...
 
I also still want to know how you smuggled drugs "in your balls."

I'm sure it was just a poor choice of words, but still curious (as Is anyone who read your post).

Ive seen all kinds of crazy stuff in the LA rave scene. Never guys walking around in badges, but then again I think cops at a rave are usually there to bust it, not hang out.

The private security hired by the promoters, thats a different story.

Everyone has a price, even the city police department. Sure, they could shut the whole thing down knowing what really goes on in there, but then they city wouldn't be getting a cut of the money from the promoters and the cops would have to worry that much more about their salaries.

If you're stupid and blatantly consume, deal or buy drugs then yes they'll bust you. At your typical massive there are always a handful of drug busts. They don't completely turn a blind eye but they don't necessarily use their peripheral vision, if you get what I'm saying. Don't be stupid and you won't have any trouble.
 
"Drug Dealers" at many Night Clubs bring in the majority of the Clubs customers. So the owners let them in. Mainly Dealers the Club Owners know. ..and usually the transactions are not done so much in the open. The girls bathroom is the main spot. Especially the bathroom with one toilet and locked door.!! Thats how its done in Ybor City <-|->
