Wow, you sure fucked up with that one... you NEVER, EVER, EVER be honest when it comes to admitting you have used drugs in the past... I guess you will now pay for your mistake by giving up your Xanax, 'eh?
As for DCFS, no, that wont happen unless the doctor thinks you are currently abusing drugs and are a risk for your child - of course if you are fed up with the crying little brat that will suck you dry of every penny and free minute you have, it might make for a good alternative to trying to find an adoptive parent and whatnot.. anyway, back on subject .. lets discuss your options here -
You wanna keep your Xanax, this is obvious because that little shit factory is going to cause you to have a stroke by 30, plus guys wont want to get serious with a chick that has that extra baggage .. I know that after a long day of work it's fun to come home, kick yer feet up, pop some Zee-Bars, and down a bottle of Gin to drown out the endless screams of "the baby" .. oh, off-topic again, lets get to the point here... is the doctor you're seeing (the one you told all this crap to) the same doctor that is scripting your Xanax? If so, then you're going to really have to show that you're a non-addictive type person... now, I am thinking that you probably REALLY told one hell of a story, because the best thing you can do when asked that question IS to admit that you have used drugs before .. the story would sound something like this: "yeah, when I was about 15 I tried marijuana a couple times, believe it or not I didn't enjoy it, the stoned feeling made me feel altered, and I didn't feel like I was totally in control, that really scared me.. the idea that I could also become addicited to a chemical really scared me, luckily neither of my parents ever did more then drink a glass or two of wine on holidays" .. see, in this day and age everyone is getting high, and if you claim you never used drugs they are more likely to label you as a liar, probably covering up some serious drug problems .. but as I was saying, you no longer have that option with your current doctor .. now there is a chance you are not going to change his mind, so what you have to do is find yourself another doctor .. we now have more options..
At your new doctor you *could* flash that bottle of Xanax and say you have been on it for years, it works, gave you your life back, helps with the acute stress caused by being a young mother, yadda yadda.. but we have a problem - your new doctor is going to (most likely) contact your previous doctor, and if this is the doctor you gave yourself up to, well, in a few words - YOU'RE FUCKED! .. see, once your new doc gets your charts off yer previous doc, he is sure to read what your last doctor wrote about "this patient has a history of drug abuse and lied in order to get herself a prescription for Xanax, once I learned about this patients history of drug abuse and high perpencity for addiction I instantly removed her from the medication, at that point she stopped making office appointments, I presume she is activly seeking out another doctor in order to further her addiction.." .. you get the idea ..
So, you can go to a new doctor then simply 'erase' your history - it's easy, unlike your credit history or criminal record, your medical records don't follow you unless you tell your new doctor about previous doctors .. so find a new doc, tell him you have only been to a doctor once in the last few years when you had the flu, and then start ALL OVER ..
Yeah, it sucks but you're being punished for telling the truth, lets hope that habbit is broken!
Good luck!
