I made a mistake when i went to a therapist. see i thought that it was confidencial right. she asked me if i ever did drugs i said yeah before i got pregnant. now they wont give me anything good. i was put on xanax and my doc said to get off of it because it is addictive and i have an addictive backround. now i can't get anything. is there anything i can do to scratch that and get something?

1-NEVER admit to taking drugs in the past
2- Learn to TYPE and to speak in complete
sentences.Run-on sentences are indicative
of ignorance, not saying that you are
you understand but your post....
3-Learn to lose that 'addictive background'
or evidence of it anyway
4-Never act to anxious to obtain narcotics
these people are trained to spot drug
seekers and you HAVE to be better than
they are. This last one seems to be your
main problem.
Good luck. And try not to double post

Oh and it IS confidential. The minute it isn't is when you admit to doing drugs if you are under 18 years of age. They are OBLIGATED to report you to 'the proper authorities'then.DCFS if you have a kid which it seems you do,, or did.If you are under 18 anyway, you need to grow up before you try this lifestyle.Of course I am only guessing, you could be 30, we get all kinds on this board.

Research the use of the drug medically... then go to the doctor, complain about persistent problems (say sleep), tell them you have been perscribed the drug before (say ambien) and you thought it fixed your problem so you stopped taking them... it worked for me, i'm a profesional actor to though, so that helps...

Wow, you sure fucked up with that one... you NEVER, EVER, EVER be honest when it comes to admitting you have used drugs in the past... I guess you will now pay for your mistake by giving up your Xanax, 'eh?
As for DCFS, no, that wont happen unless the doctor thinks you are currently abusing drugs and are a risk for your child - of course if you are fed up with the crying little brat that will suck you dry of every penny and free minute you have, it might make for a good alternative to trying to find an adoptive parent and whatnot.. anyway, back on subject .. lets discuss your options here -
You wanna keep your Xanax, this is obvious because that little shit factory is going to cause you to have a stroke by 30, plus guys wont want to get serious with a chick that has that extra baggage .. I know that after a long day of work it's fun to come home, kick yer feet up, pop some Zee-Bars, and down a bottle of Gin to drown out the endless screams of "the baby" .. oh, off-topic again, lets get to the point here... is the doctor you're seeing (the one you told all this crap to) the same doctor that is scripting your Xanax? If so, then you're going to really have to show that you're a non-addictive type person... now, I am thinking that you probably REALLY told one hell of a story, because the best thing you can do when asked that question IS to admit that you have used drugs before .. the story would sound something like this: "yeah, when I was about 15 I tried marijuana a couple times, believe it or not I didn't enjoy it, the stoned feeling made me feel altered, and I didn't feel like I was totally in control, that really scared me.. the idea that I could also become addicited to a chemical really scared me, luckily neither of my parents ever did more then drink a glass or two of wine on holidays" .. see, in this day and age everyone is getting high, and if you claim you never used drugs they are more likely to label you as a liar, probably covering up some serious drug problems .. but as I was saying, you no longer have that option with your current doctor .. now there is a chance you are not going to change his mind, so what you have to do is find yourself another doctor .. we now have more options..
At your new doctor you *could* flash that bottle of Xanax and say you have been on it for years, it works, gave you your life back, helps with the acute stress caused by being a young mother, yadda yadda.. but we have a problem - your new doctor is going to (most likely) contact your previous doctor, and if this is the doctor you gave yourself up to, well, in a few words - YOU'RE FUCKED! .. see, once your new doc gets your charts off yer previous doc, he is sure to read what your last doctor wrote about "this patient has a history of drug abuse and lied in order to get herself a prescription for Xanax, once I learned about this patients history of drug abuse and high perpencity for addiction I instantly removed her from the medication, at that point she stopped making office appointments, I presume she is activly seeking out another doctor in order to further her addiction.." .. you get the idea ..
So, you can go to a new doctor then simply 'erase' your history - it's easy, unlike your credit history or criminal record, your medical records don't follow you unless you tell your new doctor about previous doctors .. so find a new doc, tell him you have only been to a doctor once in the last few years when you had the flu, and then start ALL OVER ..
Yeah, it sucks but you're being punished for telling the truth, lets hope that habbit is broken!
Good luck!

ok i think you guys have the wrong idea about me. i am 19 I got pregnant last year and i have a misscarriage. i actually got put back on xanax again. the only thing is that they only put me on .25 mg. and i have a high tolerance to drugs due to my past. so do you think i should call the doctors and tell them i grew a tolerance and maybe more should be better. cause i have to take 4 just to even relieve my anxiety. most of my stess lays on a very messed up break up make up relationship that i just don't know how more i can handle. added on with many more set backs and hurt from everyone in my life.
thank you for everything guys

Well you have pinpointed your problem, sounds like you need to get rid of your dickhead boyfriend, then you won't need any xanies. If the doctor thinks you have a legitamate(sp.?) problem, then go ahead and ask about getting your dosage upped a little bit. I think you should use a little common since, see which yields better results.
Past Action: You told the doctor you had done drugs in the past. Result: They cut you off, then lowered your dose.
Now you have two choices.
1. Action: "Hey doc, I used to get really fucked up a while back, I am an irresponsible teenager that got knocked up and I probably still do drugs, GIVE ME MORE! Result: Doctor will cut you off for good.
2. Action: "I have had increased difficulties in my daily life, and the current script that Im on now doesn't seem to help me very much at all. I was wondering if I could possibly have my dosage increased." Result: Doctor MAY actually give you a higher dose.
Just use common since, most doctors just want your money and are pretty leniant.

Man, you definitly need to think about getting your drugs on the street and not trying to script, because god damn, you are really painting a picture that makes you look like an addict... you NEVER, EVER, EVER call a doctor and say you developed a tollerance.. after you have been on a low dose for a few months you can be VERY SUBTLE in how you hit to it, but you dont EVER say the word "tollerance" .. and for the love of Allah, you NEVER say you have to take 4 times the prescribed dose... remember, you're 19, you got a script for Xanax so thats a lot better then most people... yeah, .25mg isn't exactly a whopping dose but you're lucky to have it ..
Still, your attitude kinda just makes me think you come off as someone that definitly has abusive habbits .. maybe it's just the way you typed it though..
Here is what you do -
First, if you get your Xanax from the doctor you told all your past to, then you need to evaluate this situation - it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY that he would consider increasing your dose, hell, if he told you that he wants to get you off Xanax you're going to have to do some heavy social engineering to even keep your .25mg script, if it's a differnt doctor then don't worry about this..
Secondly, you need to read all about Xanax for acute anxiety, learn everything there is to learn about it but don't come off sounding like you are some type of expert ..
Now, when you go in you need to tactfully sound as though this medicine has truely given your life back to you .. tell some stories about your acute anxiety, as for what type stories to tell - read up on acute anxiety, panic attacks .. there are a LOT of really good websites that have TONS of peoples stories - read a bunch of them, get an idea about the symptoms that are consistant among most people and put those things into your story .. it might help if you tell this story a few times over the course of a couple visits .. once you get the vibe that your doctor is comfortable prescribing the medicine to you, it's time for the next step..
Mention that as of late you have had a more pronounced anxiety.. tell your doctor that the Xanax is taking the edge off but you're not getting the relief off one pill that it seems you used to.. you're going to have to really know yer shit so you can roll with his punches .. you may even have take a "no" for an answer for a couple visits ... if you get turned down then take your doctors advice (or other meds) but call his office and leave messages about how it's not working ..
As I said, you don't seem to have the natural abilities of a true scripter - it might just be your writing style but I don't see you having much success in a doctors office.. if this is the same doc you told your junky stories to then just forget it and move on...
Also, that miscarriage was a blessing in disguise.. of course there is the obvious - you didn't have to feel the guilt of an abortion (not a problem for many, but some get really sad about this type thing) - but you were able to RID YOUR VESSLE OF THE CHILD .. those are the obvious benifits, but you now have a perfect setup for getting benzos... shit, in fact thats so good I am going to throw it into TAOS v2.0 .. you can tell a story about how you were so excited, how your entire family supported you, how you and your boyfriend were engaged to be married .. then you lost it, your boyfriend broke up with you, and you cant do anything but cry.. you are often so struck down with anxiety and panic for no reason .. make sure you tell your doctor about being able to go for several days without having to so much as think about taking any Xanax, but other days you find yourslef in a panic for no reason and you don't think the .25mg is doing the job as well as it used to...
Thats about it for this piece of advice.. again, some people simply come off as being the types that are not worthy of controlled substances in the eyes of medical pro's .. good luck!
