How did you get off your butt today?

funny, when i saw you posted last, i thought about asking you this very question!

i plan to. 70 is a real good time. the best i've done was about 85, but that was when my run training was short distances (<10kms). i'll be focusing on 14-16km runs every weekend til then. no need to continue my 20km runs.

the chemical brothers live in chile is a great city to surf set. i've run it listening to it twice. =D hopefully i don't cramp up after heartbreak hill on the steep descent down to bondi, like i have most times.

i went just over 80 for my first C2S last year.

Im going to have to really pump it out to get it out that fast... it scares me a little bit... but hopefully, all going to plan, set the bar high... and jump the fuck over it!

have you entered yet? damn, it's $80.

still with our results from previous c2s's, if we link the online records to our applications, we'll be eligible to run in the green pack. :) not being in the back of the pack will do heaps for our times.

we're a bit tight now. wife is "thinking about it".

edit: checking out the online records, i found my results from 05-07. so i did it three times.

yeah i got in about 2 months ago, im in the green pack.

Last year I was in the yellow pack and the start nearly killed me, so here is hoping running with faster people will help me move faster also.

10km/ 1 hour on the treadmill followed by 10km/ 30 mins on an exercise bike followed by some legs work (calf extensions, squats and lunges, all weighted of course)

Been really active lately despite failing to chronicle it here. Buuuuut, I am organizing hikes amongst friends every Saturday; there are a straight-up 72 hiking trails in my county and I'm motivated to see them all. Plus, my closest friend and I are seriously talking about a half marathon this year, so we've been training.

But this isn't the "what did you do this week aside from forget to post thread," it is the today thread, so I apologize for my diverting course. Today my friend and I met for a morning hike at a nearby mountain. It is a 2.5 mile hike, but extremely steep. I've been doing this hike all my life, the first time at age 6 and never any trouble. But of course the only time I bring a friend some asshole of a resident at the bottom of the trail tells us he will call the cops for trespassing. As I suffered an unethical arrest involving profiling recently (and now have a court date) I didn't want to push it or stick around to explain/reason w/ the police. Instead we did a much more leisurely 2.5 miler. Hopefully I can get a 13+ mile hike in next week when we hit the coast =D

will go to the gym for sure do half an hour speed cardio and weights after boo yah!

yesterday:

50 crunches
50 push ups
12.2 mile walk yesterday (the latter half of which I was proudly walking around shirtless due to the 90°F heat)

...fuck yea

today:

6 mile walk
50 push ups
50 crunches

I did the push ups and crunches back to back, and the walk I'm going on now. I don't know about you guys, but I feel so euphoric after I do a set of push ups and crunches as previously described with maybe a 1 minute break in between. The endogenous endorphin release from this is like...so amazing. Does anyone else love it as much as I do? I mean I love how the muscles feel ripped afterwards, I love how you can feel them working out, I love the mild dizziness/exhaustion afterwards, I like how you feel slightly stornger the next day... I don't know. But yeah. I fucking love working out.

I have heard that some people can be "allergic" to exercising and feel dysphoric or possibly have allergic reactions when doing strenuous exercise. I feel so sorry for these people, because exercise is a natural anxiety reducer for me, and it's a wonderful thing to do.

oh and I forgot.... Much <3 to all my fellow exercisers! Keep up the great work. %)

Yeah I get the same feeling. Walking home cooling down after a good run gives me the same feeling. About the dysphoric feeling some people get, isn't that just part of getting started? Like, when you haven't done any excercise for some time, the body protests the sudden increase in labor it has to perform? I reckon that people having these feelings should feel better over time.

Anyways, going for a 30 min. interval run later today.

1 hour of yoga...

Its about the 6th time i have done it, i do enjoy it... would like to be a tad lighter to hopefully make it a tad easier
