How did you get off your butt today V.2

yesterday-
half an hour on the treadmill before my stomach started to get too shady, i decided to call it an early day.

today-
twenty minutes on a stairstepper-ish/ elliptical type machine, nobody was in the machine room tonight so i hit pretty much all of the machines at four sets of ten reps with a nominal weight selected, i also did forty calf raises at about forty pounds.
 
Thanks guys, yeah we have two easy days today and tomorrow. Still a long way to go, including the worlds deepest valley.
Just 2 of 6 weeks in Nepal done and I already have 750+ pics and vids. I've uploaded a bunch on fb. Not sure how to copy links on the iphone.

Gym today cardio, weights, and day 25 of ab challenge
 
Seriously every other bloody one after about 700m. Pulled muscle in my back felt like a stab wound every half hour or so.

The whole thing took me about six and a half hours.

Having a rest day today. I've been going hard for the last 15 days.
 
slow down 'stache, you're making the rest of us look bad :) serious props on taking on that sort of expedition!

today i rehabbed my shoulder in the morning and did 3 sets of 10 barbell front squats this evening.
 
1 mile walk with dog

and for gym work:

lateral raises
bent over rows
curls
rear flies

eating pwo protein naow. trying to psych myself up into taking a "before" pic tonight or tomo morning because im under 140lbs, hardcore starvation mode. if i can use muscle memory to put on 25lbs* or so in a couple months it would be fun to have the evidence. the only problem is that im always too ashamed to take "before" pix. getting in shape isn't as hard as taking a pic of me with my ribs showing :D lol

*combination of muscle, increased glycogen/water retention, and fat of course. not trying to start a body composition argument about biology or genetics or limitations!
 
430am wake up -(5am) 5 mile run and 1hr yoga, 8am Gym :
Chest Day

- Before the work out begins I Run on the elliptical machine for 30mins. This if with every work out -

Push Ups ( Standard) 3 sets 20 Reps

Incline Barbell Bench - 5 Sets - 12/10/8/6/4

Incline Dumbbell Fly - 5 sets- 12/10/10/8/8/6
Flat Dumbbell Fly - 5 sets- 12/10/10/8/8/6

Cable Cross Over -5 Sets - 12/10/8/8/6
Dumbbell Pull Over - 5 Sets - 12/12/10/8/6
Dips - 2 sets - Failure

- Another 30 mins on the elliptical
 
hahaha yeah, I hit a personal goal a lil ahead of time ( hit 230lbs at 9% body fat ) I am training for a 2015 attempt at Denali ( will be my third one hopefully my second successful summit) but I am super happy with my progress as I went from 350lbs and like 25% body fat after a knee replacement ( left) and a rebuilt right knee ACL and MCL after an IED ended my military career ( I was a ranger with the 75th ranger reg ) so I blew up ( pun not intended there) weight wise and now almost 2 years later I am almost back to the shape I was in in the service well a lil more muscular ^-^ def proud of the hard work
