As BT said...."a shop that sells glass rods" I can think of 4 places off hand. But no sources here, so I guess the yellow pages might be your next move
Appreciate that glass rods are easy to break. I've seen a couple of nasty hand injuries from breaking rods, although a broken one isn't always discarded in the lab as they are just what you want if initialising crystallisation in a glass vessel.
Slightly OT, but one should not forget the vast resources available from or through your local pharmacy. Once upon a time, in fact not that long ago, pharmacists prepared many of their prescription medicines (salves ointments and tonics especially) using basic equipment. I have a recent catalogue from a pharmacy supplier and it's surprising what's still listed.

ok cool, because i've seen all other types of glass smoking implements at my local bong shops etc. but I havent seen just straight glass rods. Maybe I wasnt looking hard enough.
