hosting an lsd party.

The second time I did LSD, it was 10 people tripping packed into my tiny dorm room. I remember us trying to roll joints the whole time but being too fucked up for the most part. The room was a shitshow the next day, we basically destroyed it

Fruit juice is very BAD for your health. The glycemic load of fruit juices are absolutely awful; especially in comparison to the flesh of the fruit itself that the juice actually came from. Most kinds of fruit juices are as healthy for you as soda pop. It's just sugar water dude.

It's true that fruit juice isn't as healthy as the flesh of the fruit but it's nowhere near the level of soda. It's sugar, water and a load of vitamins and antioxidants. Definitely good for you in moderation.

Trash can full of kool aid and a wee bit of syd and some good music, like they use to do in Tom Wolfe's day.

Having hosted similar type gatherings, he's what I recommend:
-LSD (duh!)
-Weed
-Bong, pipe, rolling papers, ect
-Lots of liquids- Water, gatorade, fruit juice
-Paper and markers/colored pencils
-Music. And a good sound system to listen to it with
-A cool visualizer to go with the music
-Instruments, if you play anything
-Whippets
-Candles
-Art or posters. Something pretty to look at
-Glow sticks or anything else that lights up
-Strobe light
-A frisbee
-Room to stretch out and move around

These are just some of the things I like to have around on a trip. If you're the one hosting, people are going to look to you for entertainment, so it's a good idea to have things around. What's your setting like? Are you in a city, suburbs, rural? Are you going to be in your own place, a dorm room or your parents house? What's nearby that you could adventure to- fields, forrest, or a concrete jungle?

Take stock of your surroundings and try to build a safe, fun environment. The most important factor is safety. One of my biggest pet-peeves during a trip is sober people. I don't want to have to deal with or talk to anyone who's not on acid because they are in a totally different world and can really bring you down. It's not fun having to explain to someone why you're blasting techno music and staring at the patterns on your wall, so try to insure you wont be disturbed.

Good luck and have fun!

Musical instruments
A big canvass or sheet of paper that you can all simultaneously make art on
Good music
Incense

Yeah whippets on LSD in my opinion is something words very much cannot do justice. Try your best to get hold of whippets you will not be dissapointed.

Absolutely. The only way to describe it is it gives you a stereotypical acid trip where you are enveloped in a swirling kaleidoscope of color. You've got to try it to understand though, it's one of the most incredible experiences.

I've found my little yorkshire terrier to be the one thing that will quell even the most weird and unsettling bits of a trip. Animal companions are great, just make sure that they're taken care of in the midst of everyone going out of their minds.
Also, I would consider plants/flowers an absolute necessity. If you're outside mother earth takes care of it, but consider having some inside as well.

^ i have an axolotl, he's a great companion. especially when he tries to nip your finger :D
yeah ill have to invest in some flowers. ive been trying to find passion flowers for a while because they look so amazing.

Bad idea. End of story. Any group of people tripping over 4 is just dangerous. You can't control everyone and you will all be on large amounts of drugs. It's way too much stress to try to trip sit everyone.

It's "better" for you than soda. That's not saying much. There's no way you can consider shit like apple or grape juices healthy. They contain little in the way of antioxidants, and contain no vitamins whatsoever. At most, a fruit juice contains 100% vitamin C. And they all fuck your liver and pancreas completely when you drink them.

Oh fuck, I really don't want to over-clog this thread with a fruit juice debate, but I'm a slave to my impulses. Plus, I have a constructive suggestion for healthy food for the trippers at the party. Listen, anything that's "juice and water and sugar" is not juice. Juice is freshly-squeezed fruit. With lots of fiber and pulp.

My friends and I threw a small acid party like the one the OP's having. We blissed out drinking a juice I had made that afternoon: beets, carrots, celery, cucumber, gala apples, a little wheat grass, a few passion fruits, melons and some other stuff. It felt like drinking energy. And it was phenomenally delicious. I made gallons of it. It wasn't overly expensive since I went light on the exotic ingredients.

I thought it would be a good food because sometimes people have trouble actually eating solids when they're tripping hard but they need nutrients. The only warning is that some people experience stomach cramps when they're on acid, so they might want to go easy on it.

As you might guess, I own a juicer. But you can buy uber-fresh juice at a lot of places, NOT corporate crap jamba juice places: they skimp on the quality of their ingredients, plus they're ridiculously over-priced. I live in a land of locally-sourced, organic ingredients so I'm spoiled but I'm sure it's available elsewhere.

We also got a lot of sorbets and ice creams in a lot of different flavors. Salted caramel, coconut, honey lavender, ginger, mint pineapple, pomegranate. They were mind-blowing.

OP, you're going to have a great party. Awesome suggestions in this thread. Don't forget all of the cushions, and bean bags if you have them. We spread out a bunch of futons on the floor and threw down cushions and fuzzy things and blankets for when people wanted to chill. We spent a few hours outside playing in the cold and wet. Coming back to the cozy den was perfect. Have fun. :)

Far from true. If your general idea is to be "controlling everyone" you shouldn't be doing this kind of shit in the first place. You need to do it with only people you trust properly. I've done this with up to about 35 people at once, and never had a single thing go wrong. Not to say that it can't but it isn't exactly writing your own death sentence.

There are great electronic music parties where almost everyone is tripping.

;o wow. i wish that much of my friends were into drugs. all of them believe the 'my friends friend took acid and now hes a glass of orange juice myth' and no matter how hard i try to convince them otherwise they don't believe me. so irritating!

Trying to convince people is a failure. Most of those 35 people almost never take acid, but they're all comfortable with themselves and we're all comfortable with each other, and sometimes they make the decision to drop with us when we're all going to be dosing.

If we went around trying to organise 35 people at the same time for it... I doubt it would ever work. Usually it's about 5-10 of us and then however many people want to come for the ride is up for grabs.

Everyone I know also has a good grasp of "who to bring and who not to bring" as well. If you don't trust people to understand that properly don't invite them.

A Hookah...I love Hookah, and it's totally relaxing when tripping. You can even put your weed in it, so it all works out.
