Horror Stories when Copping off the Street

yes, its called Stockholm syndrome, it came a bank robbery that happened in Stockholm where the bank robbers took hostages, and afterwards the hostages defended the hostage takers.

Stockholm Syndrome can be common in kidnapping victims. I don't know if that exactly describes what i felt at that moment, more just a sort of oneness, and general awareness of humanity. I just realized that whilewe were at that moment playing those roles and affecting each other in that specific way, that in the long run we were the same person and all onnected on some deep baser level. Sort of like I (heart) Huckabees or something. Thanks for the positive comments, I know it doesn't quite fit the topic but thought I'd tell it anyways as no one else had told a real story yet.

oneness is exactlywhat stockholm is about , army trainig / brainwashing is reputed to be a mild form of SS

I too was anticipating for the DEA Agents in jr0k's story to bust out and be like, "We jacked you Bitchesssssss!!!!" as they run off with all the cash and drugs.

Hmmm... interesting story, very interesting story actually. But, you're telling us that an officer of the law actually smoked some of your ganja? That shit is really weird. I didn't think under any circumstances officers aren't allowed to use drugs.

Yeah, he definitely took a hit and blew it out as he was telling us his sob story about his buddy getting arrested(funny that he used that to guilt us/me into giving him pot). I know after the first one we handed the pipe back to him in rotation as we were smoking, but I don't specifically remember him hitting it again. I used to wonder a lot why he spent so much fucking time busting me for that shit when all around us people were selling rolls, coke, and everything else under the sun. Did he somehow kow someone from our car was selling molly? I don't know. We didn't notice him walking around before he came up to us, but he definitely approached us(it may just have been because we were smoking a bowl and looked like easy marks) specifically as we sat there not bothering anyone or actively selling drugs, just chillin. But yes, he definitely took atleast one hit and probably more. I watched him inhale it and act as if it was releiving a great amount of stress.

^Wow, I never knew that. You can now hereby consider me willing to be a narc.

Damn, Jrock...I feel your pain...Fucking Gramnet(Grand, Routt, Moffat, and Eagle counties drug task force) and their tactics...

String Cheese Incident in Steamboat 2002... I take it you were one of the 58 people arrested for drug charges over the weekend, although almost all were from the campground on the first night... I still have the newspaper from Steamboat that next monday, which had a Full page spread listing all of the people arrested and their charges...Kind of sad, but not one person was from Colorado, much less steamboat...We mountaineers were already hip to the always present DEA in ski towns...

P.S. This past year on opening day and the first powder day, Gramnet had officers at the top of the Gondola whom were searching occupants of every car which opened reeking of the Mary Jane... Again, not one person was from Steamboat...Locals were clued in by lift operators...

funny.

i have some friends that live in steamboat.

they used to call the gondola the "ganjola".

apparently it's not cool to get baked on on the ganjola any more.

i was at a grateful dead show years ago.

it was sold out and i was trying to find a ticket so i made a sign which read "some1 sell me a ticket or i'm gonna eat a sheet"....or something to that effect.

well, we were in the parking lot before the show and happened to be parked by a big tent the local cops had set up to process the ppl that they were arresting.

while we we sitting there i was watching the undercover cops coming and going, and after a while it became very easy to recognise them.

after a while one of these undercover cops came up to me and asked me if i had any lsd, after apparently noticing my sign.

i said "no".

he walked away.

Grammnet, God! I haven't heard that since doing I was doing research leading up to my court date(s). I always thought it was hilarious that the local drug task force was called Gramnet. I'm glad at least the locals are aware of their shady practices.

There were only fifty eight of us? Wow, it seemed like a lot more in jail, all the cells were filled to capacity. Like I mentioned, they were putting five people in holding cells that only fit three sleeping mats on the floor.

I really like Colorado, and it will always be one of my favorite states(I was actually planning to move there before all this hapenned[if i had moved there after, I don't think my probation would have been as easy]). Out of all the places I've been in this country, I have always felt the most at home in the mountains, it's just so beautiful. It's really easy to lose yourself watching the sunset over the mountain tops, and it's really hard to worry about things that in the long run don't really matter when you are constantly surrounded by all that beautiful nature, it just has a natural calming effect(on me anyways).

It always struck me as odd and kinda fucked up how parts of it are extremely liberal with regards to socail policy and drugs, pot inparticular is so omnipresent(cough:: Boulder ::cough), while other parts are so extremely prohibitive, right wing and conservative(cough:: Colorado Springs ::cough). I guess that's the nature of rural america though, small liberal enlaves surrounded by vast wastelands of intolerance.

jr0k

sorry I turned this thread into narcs at shows...

That was a great story jr0k. Thankfully I don't have any to tell. I may get ripped off or a short sack here and there, but nothing major.

Jesus blah that's some bullshit. The worst thing the cops have done to me was made say me and a friend were making out in these bushs, also had a cop make say I was a male prostitute...

...but carrying railroad timbers? Shitty.

what?

i don't understand what you were doing and what they made you do, "made say me and a friend were making out in these bushs;" "make say I was a male prostitute"

I'm sorry I just don't understand what you were trying to say.
