HORROR MOVIES ONLY

Lovely, Dark, and Deep (2023)

I actually love this movie.
Basically, a girl loses her sister when they are kids on a family trip in a forest in a string of disappearing people who never come out of that forest.
As an adult, she becomes a ranger and gets more involved with the case of the disappearing people.

The film does a really good job of mixing an ambient, lost in the forest kind of an atmosphere up.
I live kind of out in the middle of nowhere so stuff like this is appealing to me...
Provided it doesn't revolve around a haunted cabin...I'm tired of movies about haunted cabins, dammit.

But yeah, Lovely, Dark and Deep is a fun ride.
Trippy watch too if you're a little zooted.

A24: We're gonna put out some really legendary films.

Also A24: Nevermind, we're gonna put Mia Goth in everything now.

^Disappointed me (Resurrection Road) --- Any other opinions

but I was a bit drunk on amaretto which was causing heartburn.

'Crucifix: Blood of an Exorcist' was pretty good, kind of a new take (obviously straight up my lane)

28 years later was actually great --- idk what kind of pre-cut I saw around last march; but the deception was artful! Not even the same story line (Lot of same characters, some return characters that werent in the final cut! - WILD)

My only note (same one as "I am legend" and not a spoiler - I would not be using my short supply of dilaudid/morphine on zombies! (I get it we all dont like opiates but that is next level will power still)

Also the conjuring last rites was a decent movie if you can just look at it as a fiction like any other horror (They had a precut that sucked too but it was just a couple important scenes missing)

The Grieving was decent

bah theres one more I saw this week I am forgetting in horror

Have fond memories seeing The Convent (2000) in a cinema in Rotterdam.

Although not very scary.
