Hittin' the streets

do not go thru the ghetto with a nice car. do not look like you have any money at all. look like you're buying drugs because you NEED them. like you worked hard for that small amount of money and have nothing more.

Yeah, if you ride up in the ghetto in a nice car, looking for a dealer, 99.9% of the time it's not going to look very pretty. I do buy drugs from the ghetto sometimes though. Usually the dealers in the ghetto here have good prices for any drug.

yeah but you got to remember, dont go in there playin like "yeah i do this all tha time, i know whats up" if you dont know what you getting into. the first time you go in the hood dont be actin clueless, like malachai said. but dont front. like when they ask you if you come here often or some shit and you never been there dont be like, yeah man, i know where its at. cause you dont, and cause they will know it and pick yo' ass right off.

yea, like ^^ said, going in there like you run the block is more than likely gonna get you fucked too. good advice.

well, I'm not sure if we really have ghettos in sydney like you'd consider a ghetto. to me, dodgy places of town to buy drugs would be places like [edited], all the drug business (well most of it) run by viet gangs etc., where white people with no inner city connections go to buy smack. That's a bit dicey. esp. if you're white. So are places like [edited] if you don't have a good head on your shoulders.

few days ago with a couple mates we were buyin grog up there (cos none of us had our ids so we needed a dodgy bottlo) and stupidly had to get money out from an atm in the heart of the cross...one of the atms that we went up to was out of order, so this very kind hooker standing next to it informed us that the only working atm in the cross was up and around the corner towards elizabeth bay. not only am I sure there isn't an atm there, but there was another one about 25m up the main drag that was working. those are the kinda things you gotta look out for. none of us look particularly old, and we were all pretty stoned and probably looked it. one of my friend's brothers got beaten up and hospitalized in the cross cos a few bouncers singled him out for breaking a light (which he didn't break). I almost got jumped in a tattoo parlour once cos the owner thought we'd smoked all the weed this dude was tryin to sell to him. go figure

of course, the infamous [edited], where the riots were not too long ago...if you're walking down there at any time of day and you're white, you're either buying drugs or have a deathwish. if you try and mess with anyone there I certainly wouldn't expect to get out of it in any good health. [edited]

so no, I don't go to ghettos to buy drugs, because there are better places to get them that involved less risk and/or travelling time.

lol. sorry bad boy blue, but you missed out on the BEST drugs in ghetto thread. the BEST (no exaggeration). try using the search engine to try and dig it up. might've been closed due to some flaming about people who went to the real vs fake ghetto, tho.

That is so true. When you go to the ghetto, you are basically entering a totally different world unless you live in the ghetto. From my experiences buying drugs in the ghetto, you just have to keep your mouth basically shut and watch everything around you. If you go in the ghetto with a nice car that your parents bought for you and acting like you know the ghetto, you better not expect to leave with drugs, much less your money.

LOL I buy most of my drugs from the ghetto but not Weed though...I get that from my friends on an island ;)

Anyways, yeah I totally hated going to the ghetto to get my drugs until I meet this really hot guy there and now I go to the ghetto like everyday to see him! =D lol

LOL The first time I went to the Ghetto I was like "OMG how cute! it's like a REAL actual run down ghetto like on TV!" lmao I was so innocent back then. Nowadays I'm like "OMG I hope that one girl doesn't try to stab me again." *clutches pepper spray tightly* 8)

It's a really rough place but between the cute guy and the drugs I can't seem to stay away! lol

ghetto etiquette...

Being that I live in a housing project in the South Bronx I really buy all my drugs in the ghetto.Heroin and cocaine [both forms] are the most common drugs here.I do not list weed because weed is sold over the counter [in New York its a misdemeanor to sell it] so it does not seem like an illicit drug.Additionally, downtown there are "dial-a-joint services and "buyers clubs" so one does not even have to leave the comfort of their home for weed.

Certain other substances such as PCP,hash,or acid can be had in rather upscale areas so it kind of takes the ghetto out of the equation.

On the subject of danger while in the ghetto:Common sense and experience are the things to always have. The things you should never have:jewlery, excessive amount of money [only carry exactly what you need to purchase your wares and do not carry it in an obvious place. If you do need to carry extra cash store it away in an inconspicuous place],and never, never bring your car.Police are an everpresent danger, especially nowadays. If you travel there by car you could very well end up sans car-pretty stupid for a couple of dimes. On foot, always know where you are going.Plan your route and try to use a less obvious path. The police will often waylay pedestrians on these obvious routes to and from spots.Of course,if you are really security conscious just follow [unobtrusively of course or you will have other problems] a couple of buyers a few blocks after they purchase [and before you purchase].If they make it more than 6 blocks unmolested by police than you can rest a little easier. Here in N.Y. possesion is only a misdemeanor but it still usually means a couple of days in custody as well as police record. If you are buying from someone you have never dealt with before, buy only 1 and try it out.Never front money-no matter what.Only exchange money for actual drugs.

Alot of times when you are looking for a spot someone will point you in the right direction, often for the implied promise of a "taste."Make sure,if someone falls into lockstep with you on the way to the spot that they understand completely that you will only give them what you agreed upon[insert amount of your choice].Usually 1 unit is sufficient. For example:Buying dimes would mean 1 dime and so on.Do not give in to their pleas for a shared shot etc.Just give them their piece and break camp.

Never hang out in the area where you bought your material.Never stay in one spot.If a dealer says that they just sold out and they need to "reup" [replenish their stock] then tell them you are going to walk around the block. Not suprisingly, police know where all the spots are.In my neighborhood there are many that are over 40 years old [albeit with different owners].With this in mind you never really want to be seen loitering there.Of course if the police want to harass you they really do not need a premise but at least you will be removing at least one more reason.

There are many things that can only be learned through experience. To gain this you might want to "buddy up" with a more experienced individual.either way ,go slow.

What is the difference, do you think you having a nice car changes anything about a drug transaction. Given it depends on where you live, i never once had a problem driving a 40k german sports car to to a neigborhood in Chicago's west side(a place some of you wouldn't be caught dead in). In my expirience(over 150 visits) it's a simple process where 90percent of the people you run into are there to legitiamlly(bleh) make tons of cash pushing dope, while the other 10percent of bottomfeeders are trying to make a buck rippin you off. All in all, it's the cops you should be worrying about, after all the pusher's job is to make money, while the cops job is the fuck with the people buying and sellin the drugs. I dont really have a point other than i do(eh used to) buy in the ghetto and i did hated and loved it at the same time. another pointless post.:p

^^ please don't tell me how it is where i live, . you go to a ghetto in miami riding on something nice and you're lucky if you'd be alive to see someone else take your car. end of story. I have family in Chi-town and know how bad some of it is, but regional differences also account for most of the advice given here. Our gangsters are different than yours.

word my friend and been back since

and i also spent a lot of time that day in the crackhouse that used to be the [edited] hotel i think. [edited]. that sucka was like a crackhouse version of the titanic, all the chandeliers were stil up in there and like these old mirrors with big silver frames and shit, all mixed in with 1000 empty rigs and old stems on the floor

hey folks, please refrain from mentioning the specific names of neighborhood/area you got your drugs, especially if you got them on the street. this could be seen as sourcing.

even with the censoring...

Lacey...even though the names were erased by the time I got to your second post I knew exactly where you were referring to.If you like 5 Prcenters selling dimes of dope for 20 than that town is the spot. When I used to frequent that area[ have 2 sisters and a mother in the area...Manasquan,BradleyBeach,and Freehold respectively] I would always wait until I made it back home.I never saw the point.I guess for 1 or 2 bags it might make sense but I never did that little in my life, excepting the first 2 times.Aaaah but times have changed! That paticular project is very much the same but the town has been given a makeover...What a difference.

anyone who spends enough time coming up with bullshit percentages and shit like that should probably go to the ghetto in nice cars more often and see what can really happen. i'm not really sure if where you're scoring from is really all that hood if that's how it is.

Well, I'm still quite young, and Im a female...and Im only about 5'2 115 pounds sooooo Venturing into Vancouvers Downtown East side probably wouldn't be too incredibly smart...The people down there are quite sketchy anyways and if you go through a certain way the hookers and the dealers just litter the streets and are using openly(shooting up heroin usually)..but yeah anyways If I need any drugs, almost 90% of the time I can just call someone and have it delivered or meet up at a convienent place..There is also another spot that i obviously cant name, that some of you might consider pretty ghetto(Im jut used to it i guess) that you just walk down and your literally tripping over the dealers, and Ive never been taxed or had any bad experiences coming out of there but you still have to watch your back, Ive just been lucky getting to know a lot of the dealers and the ways of the streets down there, One of my biggest concerns going down there if Im alone is getting stomped by the groups of roving drunk native girls that would very gladly stomp me...If anybody knows Vancity they know that the east side itself isn't quite the best of places already (From people that dont live here when they find out where I live its like "what? You live THERE? whoaaa buddy crazy crazy.." which is quite funny cuz I dont think its that horrible compared to the places a lot of you probably reside, but it still lives up to its reputation) but finding drugs is usually pretty easy wherever you go around here, from my experience....AND to just agree with the above posters...Going into the ghetto with a nice car, or flaunting your status in any way is NOT smart at all and if its not the dealer that gets you it'll be somebody else...They didnt wake up in the morning and say "Hey i think Id like to live in poverty for the rest of my life!" so dont go waving what you have in their face, cuz they'd all kill for what you got...

YO chica i think i know what you tryin to say but you got it twisted. dont be thinking that people brought up poor are all soulless hustlas and killers. Yes there is a different code of life on the street than the code (or lack of) that the other folks live. Yeah theres people and places out there where you aint safe 'less you were brought up there and theres some mean ass people out on those streets. But youknow what, to say theyd kill you for waht you got, thats Harsh. Theres some primitive thugs out there who might do that. But you know what, you got a nice car, you got money cause your family is in that way, well in the hood you can get that too. its called hustlin, and get to the top of that game and you can have whatever damn car you want. It aint that.

The reason you dont ride up in there on some decked out suburban shit is that you stand OUT. Not cause it makes "the niggas" jealous, but cause it screams CRACKER FROM THE SUBURBS". and that alltogether aint a SIN cause you cant help where you from. But it makes you look dumb. It makes you look like ignorant of how it goes. like i and a bunch of other people said before, dont be stupid.

Dont act like you knwo what your doin if you dont, and if you know waht youre doin, then use your common sense and follow the rules you would have learned by now. By the way i aint talkin to you directly there jsut sayin. Takin somethin like that into there goes against sense. See its not really the car itself thats the problem its all the meaning bhind it.
Well just speakin my piece.

BTW rachamim that town is changin a whole lot. i finally found some people that coudl do right by me and after that i got all the bangin bags for 10. but now when i go back its changed. part of me is aight cause it was a Hell Hole. and for it to clean up and all takes away from the negative. But deep down im sad cause i know theys just gonna take all the poor folks out and just send em somewhere else. take away their houses and their blocks and whatever whatever. it may be a shitty place but thats some peoples home you know? its crazy how things change, theres a city disappearing as we speak.

^^Yeah, I didn't really mean for it to come out that way, wasn't too sure how to explain what i meant, but I agree, point taken.
