^^You make good points and tho sometimes i dont agree with them youre well spoken and got a good mind. I like reading the things you got to say.

theres different lifestyle s and different ways of being and people by nature rather be around people they relate to. you might say you dont discriminate but discrimination aint all even about race or where someones from. it works on many levels, how bout for example....older experienced drug users making fun of the new kids who dont know shit about drugs and are unexperienced. doing stupid shit asking 'dumb questions', alot of yall dont like to hang out with people like that correct? at least from the overwhelming picture i get on this board, that is mostly true.

it is the same thing. it aint cuz youre a whiteboy from the suburbs alone, that allows for no deeper thought into it. there can be kids that are down as fuck from no matter where, its all who you are and what you know about the people you are chillin with, are you on the same page, do you know whats up=it all boils down to what do you got in common and just that you tend to have less in common with someone who aint from the same background or lived the same life as you. you know things about life that they dont and they know things that you dont, sometimes people come together and teach other from each others side but alot of times theres a clash there and people dont respect eachother because they dont identify with each other

judging someone without knowin them and not wanting to be aroudn them before you even talk or get a little deeper is discrimination.
preferring to be around peole that are on the same level as you is just a natural way of being.
i chilled with all differnt types of people in the places i been but i always be more relaxed with ones like me, i dont think theres somethin wrong with that.

Dont be scared. what makaveli said is very ture. acting all sketch and shit bugs peopel out. if you weer sellin a kid from your neighborhood a sack of weed and he was all sketch and shit it would make you uncomfortable and paranoid.

also it makes you a mark if you act scared, you are just one more kid to rip off if you appear like you dont know your shit

Just thinking about my days of scoring on the mean streets of Cleveland's east side ghettos gives me shivers. I can't tell you how frightening it is. I've had prolly hundreds of successful scores but had some serious shit happen to too. Like one time this cat reached in the car and grabbed the keys out of the ignition and was like "gimmee all ya cash motha fucka now! now!" So what the fuck was I gonna do? he had my keys so I had to give up my cash. Another time, I didn't think I was gettin a good deal and I was tryin to barter and suddenly WHAM! punched right square in the face and the dude just walked away. I had a bloody nose all over the place. For me it got to the point where I started bringing a long sharp steak knife with me every time, I had it sittin on the dash and I would actually hold it in my right hand while doin the deal in my left with the window only cracked a few inches. This is a good technique, I never had any trouble once I started holdin my knife. And if the window is only cracked just enough for the hand to reach in, then the bastards can't reach in easily and fuck you up. I saw people get arrested right in front of me, I've gotten fake stuff, I gotten the old, "I'll be right back with stuff" routine pulled on me. Oh yeah, make sure all your doors are fucking locked, cuz one time while I was doin the deal out my window, some cat opened my back passenger door just to see if there was anything to steal real quick. Also, some times the cat will say "Lemmee get in, we'll go get it" Don't ever fucking let them in. My friend got robbed doin that.

Any way you cut it, scoring on the streets is Russian roulette. Are you gonna be lucky this time and not have a cop rollin by? If you can, get the cell or pager number from the street dudes. It's true, the Ghetto has some of the best uncut shit since it's the main hub of the distribution line, for the big cities, it's the second stop from the importers on the coast and usually has only been cut once or twice.

Only so far as retail distribution is concerned. in that regard the answer is pretty simple. SO called "white America" no longer has any street corner culture. If a bunch of white teens were hanging on anaeighborhood street corner, they are going to attract alot of attention. in minority neighborhoods, that bahavior is expected so that a group on the corner is the norm. This is changing more and mroe though [meaning that retail sales are moving towards one on one discrete meetings as technology improves].

if someone travels to another country they either try and learn the language a little, understand and respect the culture and learn from it or they go up in there like its their personal playground actin dumb and not abiding the way of life. when in rome act as the romans know what i mean. dont get it twisted and take it liek im saying front im just sayin thats how tehy do there, you do how they do when you there.

far as me personally, dotn care wher you from as long as you can be cool and pick up on things, theres 'rules' know what im sayng and one of the problems you see is kids who dont know them saying and doing stupid shit and it havin consequences

i think it goes for anywhere but there tends to be more of a ''code'' (of conduct) w/certain type of peoples know what i mean? when newjacks come in and dont get it that can be annoying=you dont wanna be aroudn them
 
I buy weed in the ghetto. That said, its not a real ghetto. I live in Melbourne (Australia), and we have giant housing commission apartment towers on city blocks. There is one, that I buy my weed at. I don't have any real reservations about going in there, because I know the guys pretty well now, but there are some shady fuckers hanging around there. I'm a rich white boy, so I dress down before I head over there...

Weed is harder to score than smack on the streets here, Melbourne has to be one of the easiest cities to score h in.

I'd much rather buy from a proper dealer. I feel safe going to my guy, because he drives the expensive german sports car! Seriously, how much easier is a phone call, 15 minutes later meeting them, no worries about getting jacked, busted, or ripped off...
 
Yeah but...

Do those towers have Aboriginals living in them or only poor [relatively] white Australians? I know there is a fair amount of Asian immigration to your country but is there also a decent amount of black immigrants from Africa as well? [NOTE: totally unrelated to the thread, it is only curiosity].

Man, you couldn't be more wrong in my opinion. While I was raised in the relative suburbs (5 mins. outside of the city, as opposed to far out there), I understand that the burbs are built around the idea of white flight. Attempting to get away from crime, scary minorities, drugs, and basically anything else that doesn't agree with the soccer mom ideals of family life. People in the ghetto don't hate or envy people from the suburbs, they are simply angry that they have been left behind in crumbling and dilapidated surroundings because the scared white people with money wanted nothing to do with them and moved as far away as possible. While most may not hate white people, they are angry, and justifyably so. Oh, and by the way, you are ignorant.

:( So many people just don't seem to get it... it realy makes me sad.

not sure about the particular place he was referring to, but i'm from australia and there is not a very high proportion of african immigrants at all, i would hazard a guess and say that they are mostly poor, white australians and aboriginals living there, but feel free anyone else to correct me if i'm wrong.
 
Down here heading to the ghetto even dressing "preppy" (a preference of mine) and nice doesn't cause any trouble and hook ups always usually come through, sometimes even beneficial hook ups. :)
 
never problems in chicago, roll through some shadey ass ghetto find my guy and im out of there in under 2 minutes with my dope.....done it tons of times....in fact he waits on the porch as i roll though at 9:30 each morning...very simple...

The majority in these - African and Asian immigrants. A few Aboriginals, a few poor white people, but mostly Asians and Africans.
 
I agree about the 'we need a sticky' part.

But why the controversy on whether or not to bring a car or not? I mean, personally, if I'm driving a beater with insurance, they're gonna pay for a stolen car as long as I can make up some BS (i.e., I went into the mcdonald's whatever, came out and it was gone), right? I'd feel safer in a car than out on foot.

And I'm assuming it's a bad idea to carry a knife? I've heard two guys in this thread (or others) talk about bringing knives, and pulling one out and either having the dude run off, or just beating the shit out of the potential mugger... but is it safe to assume any mugger is a bottom-feeder and you can hit the spot again without anyone recognizing or caring that you fucked up a dude, or are you gonna have all his crew after you if you try to hit the same areas?

And also, WTF is up with people driving to the ghetto to try to buy fucking marijuana? If you live in the suburbs, pot is fucking everywhere, the quality is better, and the people aren't going to hustle you, why the fuck would you drive to the ghetto to buy it?

theres a difference between goin to some random dude you dont know runin up on the corner, and having people in the hood that you go there to deal with them.

Perhaps, but I always got killer deals on good weed in the suburbs. Guess that's not the norm? I mean I can understand people who live there getting good deals because they know the people, but people from the suburbs going down there when... fuck it.

It's just the other stuff that's a ripoff for the most part in the suburbs.

Obviously.

You'd have to be a fucking idiot to have to go to the ghetto to get weed. The ghetto has the worst deals on weed since all the hustlers package their shit into sawbucks and dubs, so you end up getting like a bunch of small bags, it's hard to get an oz or half oz.

Boy is the only thing that's a better deal in the ghetto, for me. I suppose if I knew someone that sold weight, then it would stop being that way though, but usually it's just kids copping and then doubling the price for resale in the suburbs. $20 a blow is a bit steep.
 
Personally fuck the white trash from the suburbs and fuck the street urchins in the ghetto.
 
of course I get drugs in the ghetto.

I don't particularly look too white so it works in my favor.
