That's pretty much how I'm trying to convince my friends for a bit of travel that side of the world.
Can anyone give me an indication of the quality going around Perth atm?

I find this thread funny because I used to bemoan the dive in quality and now that it's come right back up, I'm basically indifferent. I guess that's what you call re-prioritising
perhaps one day it will matter to me, again, and no doubt that will happen when it's at an all-time low

perthboy - i have been preparing for a good time with an old mate soon who likes to party as much as i do so i have seen a total range of stuff around perth atm. everything from stuff that looks like it hung out in the same bag as pot, stuff totally cut with msm and even salt, to very nice clear shards. i have recently come across some smoother small rock that is yellowish i guess in colour - crackles and pops when heated.. and the smallest amount lasts ages in the pipe and actually gives me a good rushy feeling that i have to admit i stopped getting too long ago. i was told this stuff came from O/S which my first reaction was yeah..whateva.. but it has really been the best i think i have had. so good that to be honest after seeing the shit last night which left grains of salt in the pipe (a mate was repaying me for a very big sesh I shouted them)... i finally realise what a waste of time and $$ it is.
i read a heap of earlier posts, and people are so right when they say dont 'pick up the pipe' in the first place. i know this is now getting off the original topic.. but i would love to know how watching the swirl of smoke actually became more enjoyable than the effect of that same smoke.. f*ckin crazy. mind you me and my mate will have a solid time catching up !

Here in nz, last weekend 2 friends and I were surprised how fried we were just from sharing 1 point/100mg!! we were gaming all weekend lol theyve always had high purity meth here but not as good as it has been in the last 3 months and if not more available than when the first meth cloud passed over nz in 2001!??
Theres one that looks like lil long dried rice/icycles? and another one here in wellington that everyone calls 'caramel' its clear and burns clear but tastes like caramel!! some sort of impurity dont know but it is very potent and a quarter gram is ALOT, no need to pigout as like before!! my mate had a panic attack from smoking a quarter gram to himself, had to get him to breathe in a paper bag!! and try think positive thoughts to calm himself down!!

I was offered crystal and every other drug under the sun whilst there.
After being harrassed time and time again by dealers, i finally decided to at least inquire as to what it was worth a gram. (no intention of buying at all, no way in hell id touch anything over there with the laws and corruption)
As soon as i asked he quickly reached into his pocket and produced a 1gram bag of crystal.
It was quality gear for extremely cheap.

hello, I got some ice given to me last week that was so good I was injecting .1 and then towards the end of the binge, .2 of a gram to get a massive hit. I'm used to cocaine where you keep wanting more and was surprised that I would forget to inject more for hours.
Just bought some. Did .16 first. Taste of a hit but not much chop. So then did . 2 and a few minutes later . 3. Just frigging teasing me.
Obviously the stuff I have is no where near as good as the stuff I had first but can someone please tell me how much i'm meant to take in one hit? What's a normal injecting amount?

^ I suggest doing a lot more reading about drugs before you become a casualty.
The purity of methylamphetamine varies enormously. From 1% up to about 85% and everything in between. Your question cannnot possibly be answered without having some idea of the purity of the meth you are getting.
1 gram of 5% pure meth is 50mg of pure drug. 1 point of 50% meth is also 50mg of pure drug.
Shooting half a gram of 5% meth might have limited effects.
Shooting half a gram of 50% meth might kill someone, especially if administered via IV and to someone who had limited tolerance to the drug.
Purity is everything.
Methylamphetamine is extremely bitter and this is a trait that cannot be changed. Samples of meth that do not have a bitter taste are of low purity. End of story.
High quality meth is always going to taste bitter, no matter what cutting agent (if any) might be used). Of course on occasion bitter tasting meth might not be strong as it has been badly synthed (leaving behind a lot of bitter tasting pseudo) or maybe the crooks have used a bitter tasting cutting agent (rare in my experience).
You are unlikely to be given high purity meth unless you have paid a lot for it. As much as double what you might otherwise pay. Of course you might pay a lot and still be ripped off. Quality is extremely variable.
I would have thought that for high quality meth no more than 1 point would be required at a time. But this is very dependent on the user and you seem to be a novice.
Please do not go shooting up half a gram of some strange chemical that you don't know much about. Read as much as you can about the drug in question and at least stop and try to determine the quality of the substance you have been given first (as best one can).

thank you for your reply biscuit. Yes, certainly .1 was adequate with the stuff i had previously and also I didn't feel like injecting straight after again, not for hours.
well i've tested the quality by putting it in my arm. just did .4
Started to get a rush then nothing.
I am pretty resigned to the fact I've been ripped off and so am just gonna do this lot and put it down to experience but I'm just wondering if any other meth injectors out there know if I need to wait before having another shot - NOT because I'm concerned over overdosing as clearly this stuff is weak as pee - but because, I seem to recall from my speed days 20 years ago, that if you didn't have enough in your first shot, there was no point simply putting more in another shot and having it straight after as you wouldn't get a rush unless you waited a bit - hours actually - because for some reason even though the first hit 'didn't take' it would somehow blunt the next one if it was straight after.

now this is a serious question. if your meth evaporates too quickly when smoked does this means its cut heaps.. and does taste help dtermine purity? either way i heard off my m8 there some shit that gets you really chopped around atm.

if the stuff evaporates quickly it means the crystal meth is not the best quality, it can mean its been cut but often meth cuts have higher melting point than crystal meth and lasts longer. What i normally see with meth that goes quickly is the methamp that has not been made properly and has a high acidity level or impurities, but most often its because it is not ice/crystal meth (meth hcl of salt) but meth hcl (normally sold as 'base' or 'speed') and has been cleaned so its small crystals that are smokeable.
I dont use Taste cos for me all meth i get has same strong bitter taste, the amount of residue in bowel, smell and how quickly the meth recrystalises in pipe are better ways to find out quality i believe. Residue - the less residue the better, you want to see meth evaporate and leave a clear/whiteish residue, the darker residue, the worse the meth smell - crystal meth shouldnt have a noticeable smell recrystallising - crystal meth should re-crystalise almost instantly in pipe with a touch of a warm cloth.

Don't use meth very often (maybe two or three times a year max) but the vast majority of stuff around at a street level seems to be cut to a really crazy amount these days.
Yep as ond43x said, if it evaporates quickly it's likely cut. I don't think you can really tell by taste unless you're really experienced...I do notice that the really good stuff tends to have a sweet like taste when smoked (but suppose lots of cuts could mimic this)
IF you ever want to find out how cut your meth is you can do an extraction/cleaning process. Can be a bit disheartening though!

cheers guys i kinda figured that the slower melting shits better then the one that goes too quick.. also that thing you said about it been base is what i thought it was too. because it tasted like base i used t get when i used to get base. and that one that goes quickly dont give me much euphoria just a tweaked out feeling didnt even really get that much engergy tbh. but ive had some shit that makes ya wana dance and more euphoric state talkin to randoms and shit.
