I don’t really think you are very likely to have selenium deficiency if you ain’t a sea creature

Downunder soils are often deficient in Selenium.
I give my alpacas yearly slow release Selenium I.M. to avoid birth defects.

Native English speakers are embarrassingly terrible at any other language (usually). You're English is very good in comparison!
I only speak 2.5 languages and even that is rare for a native English speaker.
