I know, I know but can't it(´・ω・`)
I started taking gabapentine and lithium a month ago.

I had been very drowsy since last November.
I had struggled every day, and looking for any good information about it.
And I found a paper about Kleine Levin Syndrome.
The paper says the patient recovered with gabapentine.
The other paper says the patient recovered with lithium calbonate.
I may not have Kleine-Levin Syndrome, but I tried gabapentine and lithium anyway.
Then my sleepiness became lighter and I was able to wake up at noon.
That's why I can't stop taking these medicines(´・ω・`)

Welcome to BLUELIGHT!

I'm only familiar with a couple of those medications, and I'm neither a doctor nor a pharmaceutical expert.

BUT I have to say that's quite a lot of meds to be taking at once. I'd be concerned about interactions and side effects.

Hope you can get some answers here.

Yokoso!

Thank you for welcoming me in Japaneseヽ(*´∀`)ノ

Welcome to bluelight. I have been on a few of those medications. In the past i was on lamotrigine and now im on clonazepam and lurasidone and gabapentin. I used to be diagnosed with bipolar as well but now im just diagnosed as having a psychotic break.

How do you find the lurasidone? I find it works great with no weight gain. What's the mental health care system there like?

I can't help but read that list of drugs and think damn that's quite a cocktail! I would be very surprised if they aren't having serious negative interactions. Your doctor either really knows what they are doing or are completely incompetent(probably the latter given the lack of education and acceptance of mental health issues in Japan)

Hello and welcome to Bluelight! 😊
Some of those medications make you sleepy, especially if you mix them together.
I would recommend STOP the moclobomide as soon as possible, because it can be a dangerous medication to combine with other medications and even some FOODS! If you have not been prescribed it by a psychiatrist, do not take moclobomide.
I hope you find the info you are looking for here :)
May I ask, what is Schisandra supplement?

Welcome to bluelight.

From my experience it's probably the benzodiazepines sapping your motivation, when my mate was on clonazepam he became damn near zombiefied.

My honest advice is to talk about medication change with your doctor, it's a big cocktail of drugs and there will be complex interactions, not to mention your already altered brain chemistry which complicates matters further.

If you would like to discuss narcotics this place is great, but for medical advice its probably best to stick to medical professionals.

I'm not saying there isn't good advice on here, just saying that it might not be the best place for medical advice.

Thank you all for your replies⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝
I am happy to get so many replies from you.
I am not good English and it takes me a long time to write a reply.
So I'm sorry, I will write a reply here addressed to everyone なの(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⋆*

I studied the basics in these books, Stahl's, The Maudsley, etc.
Therefore, I have a general understanding of what is dangerous and what is not.
Please laugh that the person who mess up came here (ノ∀ ˋ 笑)

As you all know, old Japanese psychiatrists were terrible(´・ω・`)
A benzo add on a benzo add on a benzo add on a barbiturate.
Haloperidol add on olanzapine add on risperidone.

There are medicines called "Kanpo (it means from China)" in Japan for a long time, so it may be that there is no resistance to mixing the medicines.
But now it has improved by the health insurance system.

Mixed medicines is only for people like me who have multiple symptoms or whose illness does not improve easily(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

I will write a reply tomorrow.

Sorry, I only know Japanese psychiatry, so I can't understand exactly what your words mean.

I used to take asenapine.
The effect wasn't bad, but I couldn't stop my appetite after taking it for a year, so I asked my doctor to change it to lurasidone.
Lurasidone is a good medicine that does not increase appetite, I think too⋆⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝

About two weeks after I started taking lurasidone, I became motivated (not manic)and my sexual desire became stronger.
After two weeks, those effects disappeared, but taking lurasidone made me not very depressed even in depression cycle(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Thanks for your reply.
Schisandra is Chinese traditional herbal medicine⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝
It is also in some Japanese Kampo medicine.
Please search for the effect⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝
I bought it at iHerb.

If I take 4 capsules before going to bed, I can sleep well without awakening.
If I keep taking it every day, it won't work(>_<)
