I'm looking for information on what the symptoms of heroin withdrawal are, on a day by day basis. I need details such as when the runny nose might start, when muscle pains start, and any other symptoms that may appear.
I understand that withdrawals may be subjective to the individual.
Personal accounts, links, basically anything would be appreciated.

For me, the symptons usually start around 20 hours after my last dose of Subutex or 12-20 hours after my last dose of heroin, heavily depending on the dose.

My symptoms include running eyes and nose and diarrhea, but that's nothing. The one symptom I simply cannot stand is the one I'll call inside electricity where it feels like you have electricity going through your arms and legs or bugs crawling inside them. It is so awful, it can wake me up from a deep antihistamine or alcohol sleep. Weed and booze seem to help a little, but of course you'll want real opioid agonists.

Only once or twice have I succeeded in going cold turkey and only when I've only been using dope for like 3-4 days in a row. But as you said yourself, your body aches too and you feel depressed and such, but all that can be handled with other drugs (ones you aren't dependant on), but if dope withdrawal were just like a bad case of the flu it would be a walk in the park to could turkey; then I'd probably stop my Subutex treatment and jump right back to dope ;)

But to sum up, these are the symptoms: running nose, running eyes, excessive yawning, dysphoria, pain in bodyparts, and then that notorious wired feeling that simply is unbearable.

^The wired feeling should come by the second day. I'm going to move this over to Other Drugs, you may get more personal experiences/thoughts over there.

2nd day..runny nose, fatigue
3rd day...runny nose, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarreah, cold sweats, muscle soreness
4th day..time to re up or find soboxone

ive had it last up 10 days, these symptoms were from oxycontin and opanas those are the worst because there long acting. heroin isnt as bad well its bad it just doesnt last as long

1st day sober - runny nose, eyes pissing out tears, severe depression.
2nd day - All of the above plus extreme fluctuations in temperature, cold sweats, unbearably uncomfortable skin (like your wearing a wool jacket that won't come off), shitting your brains out, pissing every few minutes, dilated pupils, extreme restlessness, complete insomnia, pain in bones and muscles, no energy or motivation to do anything, an underlying sense of panic. Only "good" symptoms of withdrawal, so to speak, is the ability to masturbate seven times in a row and an increased appreciation for music.
3rd day - same as above. Slightly more intense. Some nausea. I, personally, never vomit from heroin WD.
4th day - reduction of above symptoms
5th day - reduction of above symptoms
6th day - most of the symptoms have resolved. Beggining stages of PAWS. Insomnia, depression, lack of motivation and energy remain.

This was what happened to me after a five month chasing habit as a teenager without the help of any meds AT ALL. I stayed sober for forty days and frankly, I didn't feel any less depressed than I had during the WD's. Had thoughts of selling my teenage ass on the street for some drugs, I was that desperate (as my parents had taken all my money from me). But I also didn't do any of the things that everyone says help like excercise, go to NA meetings, make an effort to think positively - none of 'em.

OP said:

Also subjective to the opioid, any other drugs, the length of time addicted, the seriousness of addiction beforehand, number of times withdrawal has occured, the current dosage, the method of detoxing, and a host of other factors. I'm afraid no one can tell you what you will experience OP and there is no point everyone listing what happens to them as lists of possible general symptoms are available and that is the best you can go by.
