Heroin Social: Version 5

I was told by a mate yesterday that one of my old dealers has china white at the moment, but the items are small. Gutted,as I always said I wanted to try China white before going clean. I had a slip up yesterday, and did a snowball for the first time since just before Christmas, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it, as I was still smoking just Crack but not touching brown, so I couldn't call myself clean. I actually felt nothing, absolutely nothing! When I went to pick up my meth I got more of a mood lift! I'm more annoyed at the fact I stuck another needle into my arm, when I said I'd never do it again, and the scars and bruises were fading.

So, at least it didn't lead me back down the brown brick road, I've just got back onto the yellow one, it's much more colourful and my friends are on it too, and the Wizard is waiting to take me home, literally! I'm moving in three weeks. If only I had those feckin ruby slippers

Now i've got 'We're off to see the wizard...' stuck in my head, just those three words on a constant loop. Round and round and around and I'm off to see...

Yep had to sign that one myself, from a woman (pharmacy assistant) who kept describing me and other users that frequented boots as 'your lot'...its akin to prejudice, racism whatever
 
^ It's shit they do that but unfortunately a lot of the chemist's who've tried to be pro-social have found that a good proportion of those they're helping also happen to be thieves who'll be filling their pockets and bags with razorblades and nappies first chance they get. It's not that they necessarily tar all users with the same brush, it's more that yer small chemist's run as a privately owned business can't absorb the losses. Seen lots of chemists start up as needle-exchangers and methadone dispensers decide in the end it just ain't worth the aggravation. Some thieves you see never quite get to grips with the idea that you don't shit on your own doorstep or piss on your chips. All the other addicts who don't rob chemists blind unfortunately take the consequences of someone else's actions most often.

Totally agree mate , some people just can't fucking help themselves.

My local boots is the bollocks , the pharmacy is open till midnight , after 9 pm you get served through a window, it's well handy, I had to sign there contract and don't have a problem with that.
But some of the little mob you get in there are just wrong,uns , looting the place and stumbling about pissed, we were all given letters last year saying there had been several incedentents lately resulting in people being barred. Anymore and they will be forced to stop dispensing methadone.
I'd be gutted if a few no good cunts , fucked it up for the rest of us.
 
I've never heard of a pharmacy in this country being open till midnight
that's pretty cool but I wonder how often they get held up and if they have to pay the pharmacist extra(danger money)
When I used the boots in town,I didn't have to sign any contract but I have had sign the same sorta things before-they usually just say that you are aware that your meth should be only taken by you and kept away from kids etc-and the store ones say that you can be barred from the shop and consequently refused your script
They had several security guards but the one was almost always allotted to stand by the meth queue
some of the people that went in for meth or the needle exchange would get really arsey cos they had to wait and would get really aggressive-so at that point I appreciated having that security guard there-sometimes the guys are pissed and you have to avoid all eye contact with them-it was pretty scary.
Everyone got annoyed at having top wait so long but you can't go in there if you are in a hurry-it just doesn't work that way
I would often let people go in front of me because they were getting angry and I didn't really care but I got told off by the pharmacist,saying they had to see us in the order we came in-which is bollox.They definitely treat the people on scripts worse than their other customers,but looking at the behaviour of some people,you can see why.
My new small,local pharmacy is so different and so much better.I think it helps that they are not a needle exchange too.But the main difference,and issue with the bigger pharmacy,is the number(or lack of in the local) of drunks you get in there,pissed up on special brew/tennants super

I always remember one 24 hour pharmacy, where a succession of popular night mangers drove Mercedes and were mysteriously robbed every six months. Does bad image encourage bad behaviour? Would the kind of person who'd cause trouble anyway still take heroin if it was legal or are they attracted by the anti-social potential? It's not the dope that makes people thieving bastards, it's criminality. Drug Laws turn everything upside down and stop people like Boots assistants form seeing straight. Small, independent chemists rarely receive supervision contracts these days - corporation money is for corporation man. I'm surprised you didn't have a problem with the contract, Strungout. But if signing a piece of paper is necessary to stop you going berserk, so be it.

My last GPs had a big sign at the door saying 'this practise does not prescribe methadone' that always angered me...wtf
 
Maybe they didn't prescribe Methadone ?

It's not unusual seriously i've come across it so many times it don't touch the sides any more

Well it will when i get put up to aproper dose n from chatting with my KW it looks good but anything could happen in the bext 8 days....

I pick up my script from the local Tesco chemist.
The staff there are great I find, very discreet and usually have my script ready for me whatever time of day I turn up.
My script is always on green paper but I have seen blue scripts before, does anyone know what they are for?

Maybe cos well plenty reasons , not as much risk , don't have to get Heroin addicts in yer gaff every week

n the main one cos drugs policy is fuked n has been for over 41 years now
 
And I now understand that's what you were saying Kate, cos I only actually read your last post properly in the context of the one before once mine had gone up and then realised I'd been a dick. :doh: Hence the delete which now makes it look you're talking to yourself. Don't be daft Kate. How many chemists do you know that have ever been burgled for their anti-ds? Shit loads have been burgled for their safe cabinet. Perhaps they'd been done over enough to feel it worth pointing out that their safe cabinet has fuck all in it. Save all concerned ( chemist / addicts / police / courts ) a shitload of time and energy?

You can start over-analysing things and ascribing motives a bit too much you know? Sometimes the simplest explanations are the correct ones?

THEY ONLY DOING THEIR JOB .

If they didn't do all the daft shit that they have to these days then it be cool.

Back in te day we used to do the jacks in the back on a friday with the fukin chemist , this was when they were all independent not tied to mega companys a al Tesoc Sainsburys .

FFS , oi had a guy who would le me have stuff that wasn't required like energy drinks n stuff ;)
 
I know what you mean but to exclude one type of addict from getting a GPs support when others are seen as ok..well i found it upsetting. May not be a H addict but addict I be and those GPs gave me treatment. Unfair. I know I know...

They hav'nt been robbed once to my knowledge , but the store does shut at 9 , then the pharmacy stays open till midnight using a window and grill. It's very convenient.

@ Charlie , I really didn't mind signing there contract , I know I'm not goin to fuck about and upset them in anyway.
But I understand that a bunch of cunts will.

LOL dont worry Sepher, I just read ur post, the one u edited and re quoted ur own post, and was about to write 'No mate Kate was saying the GP's surgery had the sign up, not the chemist', till I too realised wot a fuckin dick I was being, cos u were re quoting urself, cos you'd fucked up..HA! Who said us junkies are stupid?! Ha! Actually for the first time ever I am LOL! Confused anyone? just ignore :D
