Yep i hate waiting around in the chemist! I'm always so afraid that someone i know will walk in! I go to the clinic once every 2 weeks, then i pick up my script once a week from the chemist, we always hand in our scripts & then go off to do our weekly shopping, but when we come back half an hour later he STILL hasn't got our take away methadone ready! He sees us & goes 'oh yeah guys i'll get that ready for you now" so then we have to stand there worrying for 15mins while he gets ours ready while still serving other customers at the same time.

I have told him many a time that i worry about someone i know walking in, i explained thats why i drop the script in & head off, but he still does it! Its been going on for years & years!

About the slow metabolism: I never thought about it that way, but yes it probably does make W.D's last longer, its hassle in every bloody way! Wish i could even use for a week & then stay clean for the next week, having to stay clean for 9 to 10 days is a total drag! I don't know if i'll be able to do it if the proper gear ever comes back?! Coz i could never do it in the past, ugh the thoughts of going back to dailies! I'll end up missing the chemist at least 3 times a week coz of work, so i'll end up using heroin even more often!

I had a chemist that used to fuck me about the same , I even started phoning when I was 15 mins away , the cunt still left me hanging !
In the end I had a chat with him , told him I got a lift there , and my lift was getting the hump, would he please have it ready for 6 o clock,
He ended up bein a blinder and I was in and out liveO.

Also I drink a lot of beer and my piss is always watery , and if I have a day off it's dark and stinks , same as you
mate.

And re the scripts , mines blue and for the last year iv had to sign the the top box ?

My mrs has just dun a rapid detox , last time she used was Thursday , Friday she did 40 mil jollop, and dropped 10 mil aday to yesterday.
She hasnt done any Thing since 10 am yesterday , she was a bit rough when I come home , but she's had 2 mil sub hour ago and fills a bit better.
She's a tough fucker and just gets on with it , Im really in awe of her , shes done it a couple of times ,but never switched to subs at the end , she's going to take them till thursday and that's it.
It's fucking good for someone that smokes about 1/2 teenth a day, I wish I could do it , I turn into a whiney little bitch.

Is anyone elses piss constantly dark and smelly (not weird smelly just smell like piss smelly, but a lot more than most)? I know I dont drink enough water, cos of the meth I hardly ever actually feel thirsty, and I graft all day and sweat like a fucker...am I most likely damaging my kidneys/pancreas? It seems like even when I really force myself to, I still cant take on enough water...after the first pint my drowning reflex starts to get triggered! Strangely I can drink plenty of beer, and in fact the only time my piss is ever clear is after an alcoholic drink. Answers / explanations appreciated. Oh and I always gotta sign my script.

Another thing, my pharmacist is pretty sound, they all love me in there, its only a little local pharmacy with one or two max other meth prescribees (?)...BUT he really fucks me off, cos he rarely has my meth measured out and ready for me to take, and like sometimes Im standing there waiting 15 fucking minutes. Picking up 3 times a week, do the math and it works out as a ridiculously long fucking time stood there waiting over the course of a year. Most pharmacists Ive had in the past b4 I moved to nottingham have been bang on it, with my dose measured out and given to me straight away soon as I walk in. I feel like saying something but he's such a nice guy and I dont wanna rock the boat, but why the fuck should I be treated differently? If I was picking up the meds for chronic pain or cos of cancer Im sure I wouldnt be made to wait like that!! Annoying

Does methadone stop you feeling thirsty?And does gear do that too?
I don't drink much.I don't drink tea or alcohol-only pop really-but my wee is always pretty dark and smelly
one thing I have recently(over the past few months) is that when I am just using my methadone and am not taking a huge dose,I find that I need to wee really urgently even if it is just the slightest amount.This happens more if I am moving about than when I am sitting still.I have almost no ability to hold on.I even had a few wee accidents(another great pun).
Wonder if anyone else has something like this??I remember when I was young,reading something about this girl pissing herself cos she had lost muscle control from using gear.

strungout your missus must be like sickboy off trainspotting can just stop just like that. im like you i have trouble stopping because i cant sleep at night i blame drug servic for keep dropping my meth keep doing that i told him i have to use more gear what a shit service.
couple of days ago i didnt sleep 1 minute the night i done no gear the next day i was sitting on the roof and i nooded off i was that tired

In Ireland our Methadone scripts are very like a normal prescription. Normal prescriptions are computer print outs on green paper, methadone scripts are print out on the same green paper except they have Methadone printed across the top & big bold letters, i always have to sign the bottom.

Only recently i have been asked to sign another green form every time i go to the Doctor for my script, the first time i was asked to sign it i asked what it was for? The receptionist said it was just something that all people on methadone maintenance programs have to sign, i started to read it & it said methadone maintenance blagh-blagh-blagh so i just signed it & handed it back. Guess i should read it next time! There is not much to read on it, its fairly short, i suppose its really stupid to sign something without reading it, i only just thought of that now!

I know mate, I don't know how she does , shes had 3 red hot baths today ,one min she sweating like a rapist next she's freezing , she has no energy , and RLS but she's just cracking on with it. Fuck knows how ?
I support her , but I couldn't do it, not like that.

next time ring him an hour before you go in and ask him have it ready for you that your in a rush and you don't have time and then just say it nicely would he be able to have it ready every day at the same time .... sure that won't rock the boat

Your Mrs sounds like some woman! I just curl up & die when i have W.D's! Sounds like she did a really rapid detox! I did a detox at the start of my addiction, i'd only been using for about a year at the time, but i took 3 weeks to detox, but i couldn't have done it in a week!

How long did she stay clean for when she did this before? I hope it goes well for her! Wish her luck! Tell her everyone on Bluelight sends their love & we all think she is an amazingly strong woman!!! XXX

Dark piss means you are dehydrated = try and drink a glass of water every couple of hours, you only need to sip it.

@S.Out dont how yer mrs does it - i remember once doing something similar dropped from 45ml to 0 in 5 days first 3 days easy peezy as the 1/2 life meant i had enough to stop the rattle day 4 i was in the pub had a bottle of cidre went out and puked then had the worst rattle for 4 days til i had the cash to score again

Thank Ructions , last time she stayed clean for 6 months.
She ain't over it yet , but the key is she gets a bit of kip, only 2 or 3 hours ( with some help) but it's enough.
She didn't plan to do it , last bit of gear we got was shit , she finished it and said that's it.
And all she asks of me is not to use at home , or bring gear home , But I hav'nt used, just glugging my jollop. Im really proud of her.

i'd say only in dublin there the same not were i am there white ,yellow and a small bit of brown on top and there is a place for you to sing on the bottom right just below were the pharmacist sings it .....

And how much fucking longer will this fucking cunt of a fucking DROUGHT go on for i hate to say but i do think it will ever even get near where it was . cunts here if they got there hands on we'll say 50% pure ounce they would turn it into a 9 or 10 ounce and sell it no problem so how will it ever get better when they can get away whit that

Blondin , yeah today's her worst day , she did 5 mil jollop yesterday morn , and 2 mil sub tonight , and that's helped a bit ,like I said I couldn't do it.

I was really shocked today -= been getting some lovely kit but have only been smoking max .3 a day and tho its strong i didnt realise how strong. So last night i smoked the last of what i had and wasnt bothered as i thought it would be good to have a week off or so. Now my normal 'done dose is 20mgs but when Ive been on the gear for a week or so I always take 50mgs to keep me level so last night b4 i went to bed I took 50....woke up feeling awful proper sick so took another 20mg and sat in the car for an hour b4 i went in to work to wait for it to kick in which it did and i felt ok. So i got some more bags and will take mon tues off next week to start coming off again. I always drop 5mg a day til i get to 20mgs without any bother - im goofing out now so this post may be a bit of a ramble.sorry

I know Griffin, this drought seems never ending! The UK is back up & running while we are stuck with the same old crap gear! I felt a tiny bit stoned last night, just a bit of a nod & i was so excited! It was the same buzz i'd have got from 6 lines of the proper old gear, but i had to smoke two big trays of gear to get this little stone! I had the second bag to-day at around 3 or 4 o' clock, coz i only had one bag left so i didn't get stoned, & by 8pm my W.D's were already really strong, so i had to take my methadone!

Thats me done till the Friday after next! Its much easier staying clean when i know the gear is all crap! Lets hope things improve at some stage! Surly there will be an improvement by the summer at least!? Surely???

I wouldn't say the UK is back 'up and running' but it looks like you guys got it plenty worse in Ireland. It's true - 1 kilo of 50% pure would become 10 kilos of 5% pure and it'd sell too, sadly. The summer??? I bloody well hope you're right.

About the chemist - I've been to plenty in the past and luckily the one I use at the moment has it ready for when I turn up. There's no reason why they can't get it ready beforehand and most I've been to do it at the beginning of the day. Then you get the tossers who treat you like 2nd class citizens and deliberately make you wait about. So I started doing what's already been mentioned and calling up when I was a good 10 mins away to say I was en route but with this one bitch in particular (she'd look for any reason whatsoever to not give me my script) would still keep me waiting around for at least 20 mins on top of getting there. Even when the chemist was empty! Glad I don't have her no more...

Thx everyone 4 the advice re the chemist, think I will have a word cos when I've worked it out its meant Ive probably spent over 24 hours of the last 2 years stood in the fucking chemist!! What a waste of life! I coulda been at home gouching out and dribbling all over meself instead Yeah Im gonna try to get on the hydration vibe today, have started with a half pint of water already, it cant be good to be constantly dehydrated. Had another really good report of decent gear from a friend in somerset near bath, who said he smoked a point 3 and spent the evening gouching hard, on top of 70ml meth taken in the afternoon! So I really cant wait to get my ass down there as soon as poss, then I can report back and say how many Blondins I think its worth

I missed putting my script in at my usual chemist, which is closer to me, tiny and usually frequented by people I know are also ex users or users. So, the other day my only choice was Boots! I HATE it. You have to drink your bottle right in the shop in front of the Queue. The only good thing about using boots is it's open until 8pm, so I have more freedom if I've been busy for the day, but the downside is they are open on weekends, so I don't get given weekend take away. I can't wait until this current script is up for renewal so I can go back to my usual chemist.

Getting creamy gear at the moment , expensive but really strong would have to be 9 Blondins - I smoked about .15 this morning b4 work and had a nice 1.5 hour gouch then probably a little less about 12 and just sat in the car with radio 4 on in the back ground slipping in and out of gouch land (me not radio 4 ). It runs all the way to the end so when the beetle is small and you think this is probably the last run it just keeps going till its the size of a pin head.

I'm not sure if they still do, but until recently Boots required recipients of opiate prescriptions to sign a 'contract of good behaviour' before they'd dispense. Unbelievable. Can you imagine the response were any other patient group treated in such a way? OK, if you misbehave it's one thing but automatically to assume you're going to cause trouble because of what you're prescribed is obscene. If you're asked to sign such a contract, and lack of an alternative chemist means can't tell them to stick it, protest firmly and with as much dignity as you can muster. This repulsive corporation creams a substantial income from cosy little deals with service providers yet treat users with disdain. Fight back if you can; with such an attitude, they deserve not your custom but to be the target of a user boycott.
