Yes but this was just one seizure that got mentioned purely because it was the largest.
We don't know how many other smaller seizures were made at the source plus at customs etc.

Ive said it b4 on here all the gear is going to neighboring countries - land borders much easiers to cross - iran has a million adddicts, tajikstan, ubekistan,russia etc etc that plus the tuurkish main gang getting rumbled....thaqts what caused the drought. Thats why its only coming in in small parcels not tonnes at a time- maybe it will change but i wouldnt hold your breath, london seems to have been relatively uneffected if you have the contacts plus other places according to the chatter on here.

2012 will be the year the 'encouragement to abstinence' initiative is revealed as yet another crock o'shite Treatment failure; already, statistics jugglers depend on the 'successful' detoxifications of under 18s and marijuana addicts in their desperate efforts to show an improvement in the situation. If enough people point out the absurdity of it all, a return to a wider prescription base to include diamorphine may just be on the cards.

Of course, an alternative must also be found to the overpriced diamorphine presently offered by the pharmaceutical multinationals. But it's the glass and the presentation.that costs the money, not the actual diamorphine powder. Also needed is a better way of transferring the drug from physician to user to avoid the horribly prohibitive supervision costs of RIOTT. The idea of street buyers getting their hands on even minute quantities of the pure stuff appears anathema to a master class afraid of its undermenschen.

Education, education, education! Too many heroin users have died prematurely and needlessly. Let's hope there are not too many more before sanity finally returns to UK Drug Treatment.
 
I got REALLY DRUNK. and told my uncle i was using again 8)

So he naturally told family. they are not pissed off.

Im actually quite glad in a way.... all the secrecy was such bullshit..... :p

now im moving out of home as well, not kicked out, my choice, its just not working, so some 'sheltered' accommodation.

hey ho, get back into a bit of drug service recovery and all that bullshite.

should i get a script? thats the question......... free opiates and all that...... just a low subbies script, so im in the opiate bubble for free and yes iv had scripts before, but im not PHYSICALLY addicted as im chipping. SO I yes id get addicted to the subbies..... so that could be a silly idea... seeming as im not physically addicted to gear ATM

i realise i need to get this sorted. 8) doing it along isnt the best i dont think... help is there for a reason
 
they can still take you on as a client and offer you help without having a script
in fact they'd probably love to have you as you could well be a potentially'successful case' for them
it's all about the stats
 
ok. I aint done it before, if iv struggled before I just had plenty of places to crash in bristol.

but in oxford i know nobody.....

how long can it take to get into a place??? I would like ASAP, im not fussed.

It used to take months to get a doctors appointment
Each place is different but ours does a twice weekly drop in where you refer yourself-they do an assessment then you wait for a doctors appointment(if you need a script),which can take up to 2 weeks
you can also be referred by your GP and they will send you an appointment
If you choose not to get a script,it could all go quite quickly for you
maybe they can arrange counselling,group therapy,even a place to stay if you need
It's up to you what you want from them

I just noticed you said 'into a place' and wondered if you meant a residential rehab situation?
That would most likely take quite a lot longer as they have to wait for a place to free up
and frankly,you are not a priority for such a service
people who drink heavily are highest priority(as you can die from just quitting drinking)
then I think they try to take people for who drug use has really destroyed their lives and everything is just chaos
you would be pretty low down the list for this kinda thing
 
Iv had scripts before, i know how that all works. iv been through drug treatment.

but i mean a place to stay. NOT residential detox....... just a place to lay my head, something above a night shelter..... do you get me?

that iv not done before, and i dont know how long waiting lists can be?

So to be clear, not DETOX unit, just a bedsit type thing, they might drug test, but apart from that the rest of the support is the local drug unit.
 
preseny your self to the council as a homeless person - they have a duty of care to find you somewhere,prob a hostel

i wish i werent in ireland i only have internet to chat to folks about my shit..... but folks are being nice :D

ahhhh fuck mine, at least im less of mess than a year ago... iv come far, but got a while to go..... :\

Im going to get out of my current place ASAP. But I dont think im ready for one where you get kicked out for drugs or other punishments.

But I dont want it to be like one were I sleept with this lass, it was smack den basically...... that would be tooooo much :\

Yeah I'm not doing too bad mate! Sorry things ent great for you at the moment mate, we are all guilty of denial at points in our lives mate so don't be too hard on yourself, the important thing is that your gonna do something about it. :)

yeah iv had a realisation that heck, iv come along, but i work to do.... i was fronting.... im tired of doing that.

just wish i wasnt in ireland!!!! soon as im bak on 29th gettin shit sorted.

yeah-I'm sure your keyworker can liaise with the council regarding accommodation but it is the council that will provide somewhere
that is unless you are looking for residential rehab which as I said,you would be a low priority and have a long wait for that
There are halfway houses that people coming out of jail and maybe someone like yourself could stay in
but they will almost certainly send you to a hostel at least for a few days
These vary-some are nice-some not so nice,but you shouldn't have to stay there long
once you are in a hostel,you have some priority for rehousing and they will help you with the whole process
they are the experts when it comes to this kind of thing and can lay out to you,all the options available to you
HOWEVER,as I found out recently,if you have certain charges on your record,the council will not help you(and this applies to housing associations too)-but they can still steer you through the privately rented market.

It's horrible to be in an area where you know nobody-although maybe that is a good thing in terms of your drug use-although such hostels are somewhere you can easily make new drug connections so probably best you don't stay too long
I admire your commitment to getting clean.But just out of interest,are you doing it cos you want to,or because you know you need to?
 
Think Kat is right about the council. If you're a single person, the best for which you can hope is a place in a hostel and a lowly position on the housing waiting list. Hostels and drugs seem to go together like salt and vinegar and your chances of staying off in one are low.

If you can, rent a bedsit or answer a flatshare advert. If your people want you out badly enough but don't want to find you sleeping in shop doorways they might spring for the deposit. It's cold out there, take care.

I know a couple of hostels I could get in very quickly but as iv said they are smack dens..... so no thanks. :o

Speaking to a lass back in oxford at the center, she was in same situation as me, and her wait did not seem ridiculous. She wasnt even getting the boot either.

My parents are letting me stay till things get sorted, they know if they kick me out straight up thats just a bit stupid.
 
your parents should write a letter to 'whom it may concern' saying that they need you out asap
the council will take this as proof of you needing somewhere
