I think the lack of synergy between suboxone and benzos increases the brevity of my posts now that I'm off subs. I do not plan to take naltrexone because I have been on it in the past and am convinced it has a high enough affinity for the receptor to block endorphins- I may be wrong but I am going to try excercise and getting into 12 steo recovery. Yea, remeron is mitrazapine. But my benzo rx worries me. I'm scripted 150 1 mg tabs a day. The Rx is for 5 a day which I usually take at night- but sometimes during the day. I don't know what the equivalency is with valium but I know month much more potent. Xanax is supposed to be 1:1 potency but I think that it is alittle more effective or potent- it energies me but sedates me at higher doses that clonazepam wouldn't. Then I got the temazepam and xanax which I utilize ( it helpd relieve muscle tension too.) But I think the conversion is like 5:1 or 10:1 Valium to xanax or clonazepam to .
I'll pray you get descent gear on your long trip (I mean that sincerly). We will go to any lengths to get stuff. Stay safe and happy hunting.

@ Jspun I been on Benzos for 15 years "2day i picked up me weekly .

i been buying clonazepam from overseas and it is def one of the stronger/loonger lasting benzos
i got a diazepam script at last but i will need to take min 20mg to match a 2mg klonopin

Hey Brimz, thats a great question, I think the cognitive deficts are there. I have alittle more trouble remembering names, reading comprehension isn't what it use to be but I think I have developed a tolerance to these effects as my benzo receptors have accomidated to the dose, so these deficits are modest at best. Now when I am having a panic attack I get a strange sharp mental clarity when the panic attack is terminated. Having said that, its been a while since I've gotten one at work.
But I think it does effect my longterm memory ability, albeit modestly. Ultimately, they just make me feel normal and as I stated before, and sometimes have a paradoxical stimulating effect which I think is more a function of behavioral dissinhibition.
I wish I could have conducted cognitive tests pre and post. So summing up, mild short term memory loss- long term- I forget what my wife told me days before but I think its because I'm ignoring her while bluelighting,:D so I think the deficits are mild- the disease is worse than the cure- will work on tapering though and maybe using another med or a lower dose.

when i take benzos,i always wait 3 days min before taking them again
i've seen the hell that is benzo withdrawal and i don't wanna go there
this is why i tell the docs that i USE rather than abuse benzos

By the way I learned a new word at an AA meeting the other day buy seppo friend that resided in Dublin: Council Estates. He dated a girl that lived at one in the Southern part of town. He said that rent was like less than a gram of gera prices you guys have been posting- thats prety cool. Its all very quite on the thread to~night!! Hopefully that is a good sign!!! Maybe things are starting to pick up!! Who would ever have thought that this drought would last so long?!
I was reading back over old posts to~day, posts from the start of the drought, posts saying things like '3 weeks without gear now!!! Surely this drought can't last much longer??' & here we are in March & a lot of people are still unable to score while others have to travel long distances & pay high prices for H. When will it ever end? Will it end at all.............
I can't find any of the old threads, remember the 'UK/Eire H drought' threads? I can't seem to find them? I looked through my old posts, but none of my posts from those threads are in my profile, i thought B.L. kept all the old threads? But maybe they were to big to keep?
I have been thinking a lot to~day, reading old posts sparked it off, we have all done so well, its been over 4 month since we could pick up our phone & score some proper gear. I never thought that i could get used to not scoring, but i have...... I still miss the gear so so much, but at least i've broken the routine of using. I would really love to stay clean now, but i still miss it every day..... The thing that i keep thinking is now that my tolerance is down i should be able to get a right whack off the gear if i have a smoke, it will nearly be like the first time that i tried it, & lets face it we have all been chasing that buzz that we got at the start!!! That is what is making me want to score again if & when the H comes back........
My hopes are to just use a few times when it comes back & then i want to give up, but did you ever hear anything so stupid in all your life?? I'm only fooling myself!! As if history won't repeat its self!! Coz i did get clean a few years ago, i stayed off gear for 4 or 5 months, & then one night i decided to reward myself with a bag, & the rest is history.......
So i know that i shouldn't use again after the drought, but i know that i will use...... Its the weirdest feeling when you go ahead & do something when you know that you really shouldn't do it!! Addiction is a powerful thing, its like a split personality, you know that doing something will turn your life totally upside down, but you go & do it anyway. If you saw that one of your mates was about to go back using after been clean for months you would do everything in your power to stop them & help them, but when its your self you feel powerless, like you've no control over the situation, you see your self heading off to score, you know were it will all lead to, yet you go ahead & do it anyway........
Addiction is the strangest thing, its when you both really want & really don't want to do do one thing, in my case that thing is to use H.
I wonder will i have the strength to stay clean after the drought? Or will history just repeat its self again............

Blimey, you've done amazingly well there spun, don't underestimate yourself and what progress you've made. You've come so far down the recovery road i think you have every chance to taper the benzos & sacking them completely. Obviously it'll take time with your high dose like you say, but think of how far you've come and all the hard work you've put into getting there, that's where I want to be eventually as I'm changing over to subs, hopefully in a few months time when I taper a bit more on the meth (not looking forward to it, not switched over from the juice before)
Tapering from diazes as well, the dose i take doesn't do anything anymore, I have too high tolerance to them & been on them too long. our clinic wants everyone off them anyway (more cutbacks! lol), not done a benzo 'rattle' before, obv not looking forward to that either
I did ask my drug worker if I could swap over on to a different benzo, like temazepam or nitrazepam for example, if they were different more stronger, then I said maybe I wouldn't need to be prescribed as much mg. Say 10 or 5mg instead of 14mg diazes. She wouldn't change them though said it wouldn't make much difference, plus they don't script any other than diazes ah well, at least i tried. Just wonder if this was an excuse to fob me off tho, because yezs, they are very tight on prescribing benzos in this country, lucky if you can get them at all. wonder what the weakest & strongest benzo is? wonder if i would be better off on a stronger benzo at a lower dose, seeing as diazes don't do anything for me anymore, they do help a bit with cravings and anxiety, but don't help me sleep anymore unless i take a bigger dose, or whether drugworker was right?
btw, anyone else notice bluelight went a bit weird earlier? couldn't get in and kept getting error messages on me Google Chrome browser and posts on threads seem to disappear, plus i'm sure i've lost a PM, there's an alert in my e-mail box that I have a message, but look in my BL inbox, there's no messge so i can't read it, plus i sent a PM, but can't find no copy of it in PM box, dunno what the hell's goibng on whether it's just my browser or BL or if i dreamt it all

Yep, i noticed a few weird things on B.L. alright, i can't find any of mine or anyone else's posts from the old 'UK/Eire H Drought' threads? They have all just disappeared as if by magic!!I hope you doing well Basket!!! Stay strong & things will hopefully get better day by day!!! I would love to stay clean too!!! But the addict inside me has other ideas........ But the longer this drought goes on, the stronger i get!!!

@basket: Good luck to you too comrade- I got the loose bowels and mild goosebumps today. As far as benzos the strongest is probably nimetazepam or something like that- called Erimin-5 I think only Rxed in Japan and Malaysia I think. The weekest- maybe librium. At any rate tapering on diazepam might be best because it has a long half life, best done slowly like the meth. Maybe you can convince your drug worker to do one at a time. Good luck with that and may blessings and the power of healing come to you.

I liked your song- my experience is once you've had a habit- going back to chipping is nearly impossible in most cases- our brain chemistry changes and it takes a much shorter time to get a rattle. At a time the world needs peace, an end to war especially the longest war- the war on drugs, a war without end. Oh i LOVEEEEEE.......... Operation Ivy!!!! Another one of my favorite bands!!!! When i was a teenager my mates & I would jump around to Operation Ivy every time we were drunk, they remind me of some very happy times!! & i still listen to them when i want something to cheer me up!! They are BRILLIANT!!!!
I understand what you mean about Facebook, it is dodgy when you think of it, every photo & every bit of info about yourself becomes something that F.B. can use at any time, your photos are not just yours anymore, it is a bit odd alright!!
Brilliant choice with the song Jspun!!! Although after listening to Operation Ivy i feel so wide awake that i could start jumping around like in the old days!! The great thing about Operation Ivy is that so many different people can enjoy their music, they appeal to most people, they are a PUNK/SKA cross, but nearly everyone who listens to them can appreciate them!! Rancid played in Dublin a few years ago, & mates of mine were playing support to them, so i got to meet the band & we all went for a few pints, although one or two of the guys in the band don't drink. They were really nice blokes, they were telling me all about when they used to be in Operation Ivy ect, great night!!! I'm in the same boat so yea, if you want to swap mutual support then I'm here and will be in need next week for sure!Gunna be down to 3mg twice daily and 10mg of Temaz at night for 3 weeks or something.... Then 2mg twie daily etc. etc.
As for other Benzos, it's likely they could script you other ones, but when it comes to tapering it's always Diazepam that's used these days.
They used to use Chlordiazepoxide (Librium) but it's a lot weaker mg for mg compared to Diazepam. But you might be better off doing the same as me and using Diazepam during the day and Temazepam at night - adjusting doses accordingly. S'all down to whether you can convince yer doc that it's a better idea though

Such... Such a lovely Benzo. It's the most euphoric one I've come across. I tried it twice, only 5mg each time (hence "Happy 5's" / "Erimin 5's") and I had this massive, fat, stupid grin upon my closed-eyed face each time
The first time I tried it on it's own, the 2nd with some Codeine and wine. Almost OD'd the 2nd time infact (extremely shallow breathing, blacking out then coming too repeatedly). Most fun I've had almost dying though lol...
As for BL playing up, they've just switched... thingies lol (not sure what they're called) so that was why some posts disappeared and why there were periods of the site being down. But it's running smoother for me now and hopefully will be doing for everyone else.

Diazepam is the standard for tapering down .
Temazepam is a hypnotic benzo for sleeping and very short acting . They don't like giving it that much cos it is a CD , because of the abuse potential.
Nitrazepam is also a hypnotic but a long acting one , doesn't have the same stigma as Temazepam but is also hard to get cos they just don't script it much anymore. Unless you have been on it for a long time.
I would stick with the Diazepam cos having to benzo's scripted can result in 2 addictions.
Lorazepam is good for anxiety but doesn't have much euphoric value. N the tolerance is one of the quickest.

Im a bit fucked off cos I wrote a long post on here yest and I think it got taken down, tho I cant possibly imagine why. I know it got posted cos i copied from it, but it was while BL was being weird so maybe that had summat to do wiv it. Anyhow it went a little something like this:

Having foiund out I had a day off I phoned me dealer to arrange something. 1st time we'd spoken for maybe 3 or 4 weeks, he sounded v happy. Sais he'd gone 'up in the world'; and went on to tell me that prices were down, at which point my heart sunk. Surely it must be shit then I said, he assured me was nice, so I said 'what, proper nice'...'Nah, not PROPER nice, look its the best Ive had since the drought' so ordered me kit and next day off I went, not expecting great things TBH. Price from £130 an 8, which was PD price, now to £115 an 8. So I went on my 6 hour round trip to score, got there called him, he sent his runner, and 2 mins later I had a Q in me hand. as I struggled to open the bag like a madman I could smell opium thru it which is always a good sign. Opened the bag and there sat a fuckin massive lump. Looke v nice, darker than last, still light brown and the smell - v opiumy. So I chucked some on the foil, heart beating fast in anticipation, had a boot and could tell off first line, the real deal. Im talking as good as the average gear I was smoking pre drought. & I aint no mug-no low tolerance due to 80mls daily green, have had really nice gear maybe 3 times in me life, and would rate the best Ive had at 8.5 maybe 9 / 10, assuming pure heroin base or china white white would be 10. This stuff I put at an average but good 7 / 10,
So what the fucks going on? My opinion on the drought if u wanna hear it;
There was never a problem with blight or amount of gear available at source-no shortage. Merely our govt's efforts to break up the turkish gangs in Turkey. According to the article i Linked here a while back the Turks import and distribut 90% of the UK's heroin. So thats wot happened IMO. Thats why some people could score decent whole way thru drought-the other 10% as such. And now, why is my stuff so cheap? Well maybe, hopefully they realise that half of the customers may have stopped using, so are gonna flood the market wiv decent gear again to try and lure them back!!
In my opinion this proves the drought is over and a large shipment has arrived. This stuff would sell for £100 a g in certain deprived places in the country. Fuckin crazy.And I know half of u reading this wont believe me or doubt that its decent, but let me tell u, it made me nod for an hour, on top of 80ml daily - cant be that bad. Hope it comes ur way peeps, peace
