No one can really safely answer that. Moderately tolerant doesn't say much. Just add until you get to the dosage that suits you.
 
^Exactly.Do just as this guy says,start small until desired effects are achieved,then in time you should be able to comfortably and safely judge your dose.(assuming it's the same batch).

Its even hard for us to tell you where to start,you could have some crazy fire or some complete bunk for all we know.and it depends on your tolerance.Care to tell us how much opiates you've been using per day/week etc.,which one(s),for how long,and how much was your average dose,and what route of administration.are you dependent on opiates,or just looking for good buzz?

These are all things that will help us help you.the thread subisjustokay posted a link to has some great info,you may also want to search for the beginners dosage guide and check that thread out.

No, it's not. There's a thread called "a million and one heroin questions" that I'm going to merge this thread into.

I know that you didn't want to choose the wrong one, as there are many threads on heroin. That's OK, but I will merge this.

As for your questions, I've never used tar. However, don't inject tar without filtering. I think that's a horrible idea. I may be wrong, I'm sure people have done it, but I don't advise it.

Good quality powder heroin is a different story. Emphasis on the first two words.

I have a feeling that I am perhaps not going to get the answer I want, but anyway it's worth trying.

Can anyone tell me why heroin (and any other opiate or synthetic opioid for that matter) causes a marked increase in energy levels and motivation when compared to other depressants such as benzos or alcohol? Whenever I take heroin I get so much energy it genuinely appears to others that I have taken a stimulant. I literally can't stop moving around, doing chores and things I don't normally get round to doing when I'm not high.

heroin binds to mu opioid receptors and activates them if i'm not mistaken, thus causing the user to feel "euphoria" and "analgesia" and "stimulated" in a sense. but not in the same way that amphetamines or cocaine does obviously.

by the way, when you ask a question and someone tries to help answer, its not really cool to be rude to them, whether they answered the question or not. i don't see anyone else here trying to help your rude ass.
 
So my friend got some dope the other day. It came as a big solid chunk, a little off-white. It breaks up nicely to a powder and has a slight brown tint to it I beleive. It looks similar to a solid chunk of coke. It does have a slight vinegar smell to it, or very similar. It doesnt smell like roses thats for sure.

Anyone get dope like this before? Normally its more brown, mixed between powder and small rocks, or brown and very sticky and clumpy. This stuff looks like a chunk of coke. Anyone know what kind this may be? Is it good for smoking or just snorting/IV? I dont do needles so its up the nose or smoking.

Just wanted some opinions to see what my friend got. Thx

What about smoking it? I'm not sure how the powder will do with that. I've heard there are different kinds of dope that are made for snorting/smoking/shooting/etc. Just trying to figure it out so I can get the most out of it.

I'm sorry you thought I was being rude, that wasn't my intention at all! I was just pointing out that what you said was incorrect. And I am not claiming to know everything, far from it. I didn't want to post in ADD because I didn't think the question was quite 'advanced' enough, but I guess I was wrong as the answer isn't quite so simple. Chrisinabox, you are jumpting to conclusions and have completely the wrong idea about me. I'm sorry I offended you as that wasn't my intention at all.

LOL, I hope this is e-sarcasm. Anyways, the stuff you got sounds a lot like what I'm working with right now. Obviously you get the best bang for your buck by shooting it, but if needles aren't an option I would snort it.

Just make a few small lines, and do one every five minutes or so. Repeat until you're satisfied.
 
Successful Potentiation of Parenterally introduced Heroin

Would love others successes in the potentiation of exclusively heroin. Either introduced seperately (oral admin of antihistamine prior to dose) or at once (addition of temazepam suitable for injection to heroin solution IV/IM/SC.) Seems to be a lack of attention to said subject. If only sniffed or smoked, yet a combination of chemicals is somewhat remarkable, please tell.

I feel like I had the best results with the klassic kombo of DXM, tagamet, and grapefruit juice an hour before smoking. Lately if I take an antihistmine about an hour before a shot, I notice some difference in terms of longer duration, if not greater strength. I feel like I had some luck with DLPA (d,l-phenylalanine) an hour before shot, but I'd have to muck around with that one a bit more to say for sure if it truly makes a difference.

I've felt like that when I first started taking Codeine.
My guess (and it's no more than that) is the activation of the reward pathways which has Dopamine to thank. Stimulants also act on Dopamine. That's the only thing that comes to mind.
