For starters Heroin in OZ has been brought in from both Afghanistan and Burma it's not ONLY Burmese as you say, in recent years the majority has been coming from SE Asia but by no means all.
Average Purity in OZ is only around 30% hardly disgustingly good with Vic having some of the lowest reported quality. 30% is about in line with average purity found in the states , however the price there is many orders of magnitude cheaper, not to mention all the other gear except weed which you can get for a fraction of the price.

I talk a lot of smack (pun intended) about the USA but it shits over most countries for drug price , availability and variety.

Colour is indicative of method of manufacture and the choice of solvents reagents and has nothing to do with purity. Most US H is Mex/Columbian and Afghan, Mostly mex on the WC and mix of Afghan Tan/white and Mex/Columbian Brown on the EC.

Best gear I've tried outside of Asia was surprisingly BTH.

Cheers. I didn't know that about the purity levels. I've known a few blokes from NY who love the dope here. Guess it's just who you're buying from as well. I've only gone through the same dealer since 2010. Only once was I disappointed with the quality. Just looking at the photos of certain US batches of ECP, I am convinced their dope is far more cut than our #4. I don't know about you, my hammer mulls up clear, never gunk left in the spoon etc.

Pictures don't tell much of a story.

Unless you're dealing with an absolute amateur you aren't getting insoluble cuts.

No gunk in the spoon is a good thing. It means your dealer is not a retard. Unfortunately it doesn't mean a thing when it comes to purity.

Do a google search for afghan heroin in the US and you'll get hundreds of results all from the last decade describing the influx of middle eastern dope to the US.

that definitely fits where I'm at (london). dope's generally been fucking awful and when I've copped from different folks in similar areas, its always seemed to be the same shit. I'm not an expert at all anymore... am pretending im sensible at the mo by just shooting uppers instead... so I'm sure its more than possible to get decent dope in the right circles.... but the average gear now that I've been seeing (very occasionally as have been avoiding it as I said) has been junk compared to say 2009.

Yeah it's a serious problem. Roughly 90% of the worlds heroin is now produced in Afghanistan, being pumped into the US, Russia, Europe, etc. (source) In the 90's it was all mostly coming out of Latin America, specifically Burma, but once the War On Terror started, the Middle East became king. Between the dope coming from Afghanistan and the amount still coming from Mexico and Columbia, there's no wonder why heroin is destroying so many US cities.

I never realised that heroin was still having that sort of affect on America. I was under the impression the use was fairly stable and prevalence wasn't rising. In Australia, we had a major heroin problem in the 90's, specifically from 1997-2000, which has been described by the media as our heroin 'glut'. Cheap strong heroin had people od'ing like never seen before. I was a clean cut teenager then, but I can still recall the numerous zombies I'd see on the public transport service scratching their faces off, nodding out etc. Now days, methamphetamine is rife, the cities, suburbs and country towns are awash with this poison it's fucked up.

Heroin has had a huge effect on America, especially on the east coast right now. The past few years, suburban towns hours outside of major cities are being flooded with cheap high quality H. The town I grew up in about an hour from NYC, 10 years ago there wasn't a single H bag in sight... now there are 5-10 fatal OD's a month. A lot of towns are going through this same thing. It's an epidemic. In other parts of the country it's meth that is destroying communities but H is always close by even there.

Burma is not in Latin America.

Columbia is still the main supplier of American heroin

So yeah. If you're in Canada, you're doing Afghani dope
If not, it's likely you're doing south American or Mexican dope.

Also, narco terrorism is a problem but everybody has their hand in their cookie jar. Karzai's family has ties to the heroin trade.

Also the American heroin market pales in comparison to the European market. Now I know that's a country vs a continent, but America for the most part represents north American drug consumption as a whole pretty well.

America still has a phaaceutical problem much worse than Europe does.

I had white dope on two occasions back when I was a daily user. The NYC white I got was of some of the best quality I've had. I know everyone "hypes" their connect, but this dude in NYC was THAT guy. Amazing. However the usually tan was just as good. The white was a little stronger.

Now the last white dope I had was from Camden, NJ and I have a feeling that it was cut with fent. I never thought I'd be happy to have the tolerance I had as that bag would have killed most. I was nodding within minutes of snorting that. The other reason I think it was fent was the taste. I simply LOVE the way dope tastes. The light and dry tan had a smell and test that I love in itself.

I've been under the impression that most of our dope has been coming from Mexico but I haven't done anything more then briefly look into it.



I say we stop outsourcing jobs and grow the damn poppies here in 'MURIKA! (for those of us currently residing in 'murika, of course).

I was wondering if you knew just exactly why people would cut it with fent.
I get that it makes it stronger and the stronger the better the more business ect ect
Unless of course you kill all your clients but what do dope dealers care about that for 8)

The reason I ask because fentanyl is expensive is it not? I've only done it once and I smoked it and it was nice but god damn did the patch cost us 60$!
Wouldn't it be a waste of money to cut it with fent as a dealer?

Yeah fent is pricey and not very common, which is why most dope is not cut with that. The theory on why people would cut H with it is just to make it much stronger. However, IV fent really isn't even close to as euphoric as heroin, despite it being one of the most potent opioids.

The fent used in american medicine is synthesized in mexico, and well, if it was a good cutting agent, it would be in all the mexican heroin....

It's somewhat counterproductive to kill your customer base. Fent sucks.

You don't really here about fent ever being in black tar, it's most always in white powdered heroin. Tar doesn't need to be cut with fent either, it is a bunch of opiods mixed in one and usually if you have a half decent source it blasts you.
 
Most Mexican heroin is tar yea, but they've been shipping this 'pigeon blood' shit which is a purer form, lately.
 
Most of the heroin in the US is of Mexican and south American origin. Mexico has become one of the largest growers of opium poppies in the world, before that most of the poppies grown for US ECP were grown in Colombia and other South American countries. Afghanistan is the largest producer of opium in the world, but very little of that ends up in the US, as far as I know.

I hate arguing about this though because nobody really knows...It's possible the Mexican cartels do buy some opium from the middle-east for heroin production, but that theory doesn't make much sense because the hassle and cost of smuggling opium/heroin into the Mexico from the middle east would be far less profitable then turning their own opium in heroin. It would be like someone in California smuggling pot from overseas to use to make hash.

The only way the cartels would probably ever bring in opium from the middle-east is if they couldn't get enough poppies grown in Mexico and SA to satisfy US demand.

I don't doubt that there are Middle-Eastern gangsters smuggling some dope directly into America and selling it though...
