Just a thought that occurred to me: perhaps I was/am a bit strung out after two years of heavy and near-constant use/abuse of opioids and many other types of substances from anticonvulsants to antidepressants to mild stimulants. I have been noticing lately that I don't often get any sort of powerful high from most substances - even those I take for the first time or use seldomly - and any high tends to be less pleasant, i.e. 'harsher,' and short-lived.
Or maybe it simply was the dope.
