FUCK! i can't get it into proper paragraphs. MODS HELP?? how come tabs don't work? Anyway yeah this is how the scene works in portland, OR, although you don't always get in their car follow them. just like half the time. otherwise you jump in do the deal real quick, and get out.
Still it's strange that you need to get in their car. I thought that was only the way they did it in the movies. 1) I'd feel nervous sitting in some dealer's car 2) I'd be worried about somebody spotting me in the car 3) Takes too long. Seems like the chances of you getting busted are a lot higher if you need to get in their car-- simply driving up to their car, stretching out your hand w/ some money in it, and having the drugs fall into that same hand while the money is taken from it is a lot quicker and safer. That's how its done in the newark area (i.e., I just hold the money in between my index and middle fingers while holding a cupped palm). Cute little nuances lol.

Also seems like a good chance you'd be robbed and/or cheated. Getting in a dealer's car is putting yourself in a situation where you're fairly helpless.

no the mexican dealers are really just good guys trying to make a living for their family, although selling tar is pretty evil, they are illegal immigrants, so its either that, or doing yardwork for shitty wages. but not one of em ever tried to rob me, they are more worried about you robbing them. they just want good steady customers so they can take ALL your money over time, so they'll never rob you if they are real dealers. they carry weapons, knives and guns, cause alot of crazy junkies try to rob them.

i know one girl who pulled a knife on them in their car, there were two of them, but they didn't want her to cut the drivers throat so they gave her a bag of like 200 balloons, she jumped out and ran to her car, tried to drive away but they chased her down, she crashed, and they punched her in the face really hard and took the balloons back. then she was stuck with no dealer, no drugs, and a BAD habit...

Great read. Tar doesn't sound too appealing, though, especially if you've gotta be buying it off shady mexicans. Somehow, I feel much more comfortable buying powder off of black guys.

whats the difference dude? whats the difference between a black guy and a mexican? anyone who sells H is usually shady. but most of the time they are regular dudes trying to survive. Alot of these mexicans get smuggled into the country by a human smuggler, and to pay them back they are forced into selling drugs until they pay off the "debt", like thousands of dollars. i read an article about it.

and i think its just as sketchy doing a deal through the window of the car. if a cop sees you doin that, your fucked, but if he sees you jumping into another car, he might think your just getting picked up by your friend. then you drive off and who your with follows you in their car. if your alone, trhen you jump into the dealers car real quick and then do the deal and jump out.

God, the wait is by far the hardest part. Especially if you have to drive to a city that's an hour away and then wait 40 minutes for the bastard that's been saying he's just around the corner the entire time. Everyone hates the dealer while he makes us wait, but it all changes once the dope is in our car. Withdrawals are so miserable, it's not just physical but mental anguish as well. Pure discomfort and unhappiness.

Well in the jersey/ny area, usually if it's a latino selling drugs, they're hustling you or plain ripping you off. This is more the case if you're buying from a dealer on a regular basis, not just some random guy you find on the street. From experience, when you've got a black dealer around here, he will treat you like a return customer and give you quality product. I have yet to buy drugs from a black guy and receive poor quality stuff (i guess this breaks some stereotypes or assumptions people may have, especially ones formed by movies). With the few latino dealers I've run into (I'm not trying to offend any latin board members here, this is just basing off of trends in personal experience), I've gotten shit product (crap weed, fake 'mda', etc.) -- it's funny because it seemed to especially be like a general rule of thumb back when i'd smoke/buy weed-- here in suburbia at least, the spanish looking guys would strictly sell dro, cheap bags with red-haired loose stuff, while the black guys would sell dense, very green and smelly haze.

And no, doing a deal through the window is not just as sketchy. Any cop doing surveillance will know what you're doing regardless, although maybe they might not notice two cars stopping side by side for 5 seconds once in a hundred times. The real difference between the two methods is how much time you spend. The former takes 5 seconds, while the latter can take half a minute, a minute, 3 minutes, whatever. "Getting picked up by your friend" may be an ok cover, but then again if you're in a drug neighborhood, assuming that you're white, it probably won't work. Hopping cars attracts a lot of attention. A lot of people get busted in the ghetto because cops notice a car following another car.

if your alone, trhen you jump into the dealers car real quick and then do the deal and jump out.
And sorry, but this just sounds silly. You're buying drugs and you would stop your car in the middle of some street, get out to get into anohter car, and come back? If you're buying smack, you should not be getting out of your car at all, that's just dangerous.

It's exactly the opposite around here.

Nice post though. It reminds me of way too much. :\

IME, those types of shots, when you're sick as fuck one moment and high as fuck the next, are some of the most rewarding and enjoyable. The only shots that are better are shots after you've taken a long break(6+ months) or your first shot ever.

Please do write more! This was a very enjoyable read. I've never been too deep into opiates (at least not enough to have ever been sick) but with your excellent writing this report really gave me a taste of what it must be like.

Yeah it's a bit sketchy to say the least, but for a lot of my dealers its standard procedure. Dangerous on a "dealing-with-criminals" level, but very safe vis-a-vis our beloved Men in Blue. I'll just call him/her, "meet me at x" (usually a parking lot of some relatively un-trafficked convenience store or gas-station), hop in the car, drive around the block, and then get dropped off somewhere a few blocks away when the exchange is done.

Going up to a car and "talking" to someone at an open window is a red-flag to even some of the most naive people that it's a drug-deal going down, most dealers don't do stuff out of their house because the traffic gets you busted, whereas with this method it's just someone getting picked up/dropped off. Nobody would suspect a thing, not even a cop.

Edit: Also, great trip report. Best one of its type I've read I think; you're a very good writer.
