Heroin help me and my girl kick with the meds we got

we are gettin married may 28 and need to get off the shit

our line of work keeps us around tons of baloons all day, and has us each doing bout 8 bags each of potent tar a day

here us what we help us

12mg of suboxone
5 .1 clonidine
7 10mg valium
12mg of xanax
alcohol
access to any and all OTC meds
tons of gabapentin
tons of trazodone

i may be able to run across from vicodin. were gonna be around family so we wanna make this is as less painful as possible

remember, everything i have i have to split with my girl so how can we divvy this out to make it as painless as possible. biggest problem is not being able to sleep and stomache issues

Man pick up some immodium and take higher doses and it will take care of most of your stomach issues. Thats a pretty big habbit so i would also get some of those vikes. You have a pretty good list, if marijuana helps you then i would get a hell of a lot of that too. Try to make that suboxone last as long as possible, like 1 mg doses. If you guys have the willpower i think you have a decent chance with your supplies. Best of luck brother and sister! <3
 
I'd go lower with the Suboxone, try like 0.5mg at first, and snort it to increase effects. If you can get by with this amount, that's like 12 days for each of you, which should get you through the wedding (right?) Even if you need a little more, at the least you should get like 9 days out of it. ~.6 - .7 of bupe snorted should hold a pretty decent tolerance over, though your heroin tolerance seems to be a bit higher than the average person's. Still, that should hold withdrawal back, though you may not feel the Sub too strong at that level.

I can't imagine trying to do something that drastic while withdrawing. I'd definitely get some kratom or codeine/ dihydrocodeine/ hydrocodone and at least have that for when you run out of bupe. It will help, especially if you wind up stretching the bupe to 9 days or more.

the suboxone will help the most, so if your going to be around family use the subs during that time period. They litterally make you feel 100% fine, its kind of amazing how effective it is. but 12mg is not a lot at all. I'm supposed to be on 20mg a day myself even though i find that 8mg-12mg is enough now after being on it for a little while.
 
^most people find lower doses to be more effective actually. If you read through the sub mega threads you'll see that most people tapered down to .5-2mg/day and are more satisfied. Due to the unique pharmacology of buprenorphine, it doesn't produce linear 'more is better' effects.

I wouldn't reccomend snorting subs. Its more effective to take sublingual not just because all the doctors, web pages, and any certified information says it is. I have found this out through personal experience.

I also highly doubt that .5mg will be even close to effective for an 8bag a day of potent dope habit. After coming off of ~200mg oxy and 1-2bag of dope a day, i needed to take 2mg doses of subs every hour until i reached a comfortable point, which was 16mg. 2mg-4mg would hold me over for like 2-3 hours and then i would go right back into w/d.


edit- ^^ you cant really compare tapering down to a .5mg dose of suboxone after being on maintenance for a period of time to taking a .5mg dose right off the bat.
 
a 2mg line of sub does nothing for me

we are now up to 15 footballs

my gf has a scrip for 300mg gabapentin and trazodone (EW)

thanks everyone so much. any advice for a taper schedile on the sub? im pretty sure i can get more sub if i need it.
 
The gabapentin will certainly help... 2mg might not do anything but you'll still probably be better off using less and spreading it out and supplementing with the other meds.

The trazodone may exacerbate the RLS but some get knocked out quickly from it and with the xanax and gabapentin, the RLS might not be too bad.

I would use the suboxone to stave away withdrawl and use the benzos and gapapentin for any discomfrot after the sub. Also i would use trazadone to sleep at night if you are having issues even after sub and benzos. good luck my man.

Gabapentin really helps all that much? How so? I'm sorry if this has been answered in the mega thread, I just don't want to look through it.

To OP, I would highly recommend you look into kratom, there is a good thread on it here in OD. IMO, it is one of the best things for WD. It doesn't exhibit cross tolerance with opiates, and unlike codeine or vicodin or whatever opioids are available, it doesn't draw out or extend the WD. At least the major symptoms for H are over within a few days... But none the less that is a major dosage you are maintaining.

Best of luck! A lot of us here on BL have gone through what you are going through... Maybe that offers some sort of comfort, but probably not. Again, we are all rooting for you!
 
^ I would say there is a cross tolerance between other opiate/odis also I am sure it still prolongs the wd period but it's perfect for bupe as you can't stretch bupe wd with Kratom its the other way around man.

Yeah, go ahead and find me that comparison if you don't mind... I'm not convinced.

Just the bioavailabilities from the first search result, Wikipedia:

35-40% (sublingual, high-dose tablet) ~50-60% (intranasal)

If by "certified", you mean "released by the makers of Suboxone", then sure, you're going to get a selective answer. It isn't a comparison of sublingual to other routes though; they obviously want the pill to be taken how they intended!

I'm prescribed gabapentin for my suboxone taper and it helps tremendously when dosed correctly.

All i know is numerous Doctors have told me and I also have learned from personal experience that sublingual is much much more effective. And the bioavailabilities online are all inconsistant i've seen sublingual range from 30-70%. And wikipedia is far from a reliable source. I don't base the way I injest my drugs on ba% i find online tho, i use the route that seems to work best for me.

Don't get me wrong dude, I love snorting pills and I would snort my subs if it was worth it, but it just isnt. I have tried it and compared it a number of times and sublingual is just much better.

Snorting also seems to make every drug last shorter than other routes, so if the OP only has 12mg i would think he would want to use the route that makes them last the longest.
