Yes -- cocaine users cannot tell methylphenidate from cocaine IV in a double blind .... I find that a little hard to believe and would like to look into that study closer though

I highly doubt it, I can't say that isn't true cause never injected metilphenidate, but both substances are very different. You can absolutely tell appart coca from amph sulfate as in eurospeed, even iving pure pharma stuff (Centramina brand) before it was discontinued.
I mean, people can tell appart an IV strret methamph injection from a coca one; how won't they be able to feel the difference between cocaine and ritalin?

To beat it..

a) Stop drinking. Alcohol always leads to cocaine use.

b) Try clonidine when you get urges.

c) Try benzos if it's real bad.

d) If you relapse don't beat yourself up just use it as a learning experience to think this is shit and why I need to stop. The relapses should become less and less.

Lemme look for the link -- my question is how well these people know the difference between A and B --- or were just thinking "Im gunna get coke of placebo - well that wasn't placebo"

Yea I am not seeing it anymore -- Alot of stuff for methylphenidate treating cocaine addiction BECAUSE of the similar action and feeling.

I always seriously doubted that study myself and am guessing it was not done well and that is why it is gone --- or it is just very old, I am sure some people around either read it or heard about it -- but I agree I think I could tell the difference instantly
